Still Waters Run Deep

​Cayna’s life following her recent move to the countryside with her adopted daughter， Luka， is both peaceful yet eventful。 One day， Cayna takes a trip to Felskeilo with Luka， Roxine the maid， and Lytt， the local innkeeper’s daughter， in tow to check out the royal capital’s River Festival。 When they arrive， however， Cayna receives
word from a nearby Guardian that another Guardian Tower is running out of MP and needs Cayna’s help。 There’s just one catch—the tower takes the form of a gargantuan whale！ To make matters worse， the festival Cayna and her crew came to enjoy may be in danger… because the whale in question is swimming in that very river！

To be honest， 2 stars is kind of generous。 Nothing happens in this book。 It's complete filler， and badly executed filler at that。Now， I laughed in places。 It's amusing。 The problem is that Cayna has gone from a total badass who actually does things， to a loving mother who doesn't actually do anything。 Sorry， she kicked a fish monster once。 She did have one really big， dramatic scene involving a Guardian Tower， but。。。 I won't spoil it。 It may look fantastic in the anime （if they get this far）。 He To be honest， 2 stars is kind of generous。 Nothing happens in this book。 It's complete filler， and badly executed filler at that。Now， I laughed in places。 It's amusing。 The problem is that Cayna has gone from a total badass who actually does things， to a loving mother who doesn't actually do anything。 Sorry， she kicked a fish monster once。 She did have one really big， dramatic scene involving a Guardian Tower， but。。。 I won't spoil it。 It may look fantastic in the anime （if they get this far）。 Her maid gets to do things。 A mysterious other person gets to do things （mostly horrible things）。 Cayna pets kids' heads and catches fish。 It's boring。Also， sadly， the production of this volume is dreadful。 They either never got anyone to proofread it， or the person they got was an amateur。 If I can spot the glaring errors， someone professional would have spotted them in an instant。 I almost dropped this to 1 star just for that。Oh， it ends on a cliffhanger， which is a pet hate of mine。I preordered this book since I was keen to read it when it came out。 I'm now I'm questioning whether I'll read the fifth book at all。 Well， the anime is due out in January， I believe。 That should at least be worth watching。 。。。more

Great continuation Loved the story so far。 While I did see a few grammatical errors none were bad enough to disrupt my reading。 But that ending！ REALLY！ Wish they could get these out faster。
