Loved every bit of this! Wanda is my favorite, so I’m definitely biased。 However, I’m all about the history and heritage of people so this one was a joy to read to say the least。 I loved that they exploded so many different characters in this and yet it was all about, Wanda。 I can definitely see myself coming back to reread this one。

Finally we get a collection that feels more authentic。 My son and I are bookclubbing this, and it's an interesting observation when he calls out the female writers having a more authentic take on the Scarlet Witch then the male writers。。。。。。 Finally we get a collection that feels more authentic。 My son and I are bookclubbing this, and it's an interesting observation when he calls out the female writers having a more authentic take on the Scarlet Witch then the male writers。。。。。。 。。。more

( 2,5) I miss the wandavision show and wanted to try reading this comic about scarlet witch but I don't think I really like it。。。Some of the chapters were pretty interesting but in others, I got kinda lost on what was happening and I feel that it ended with a few unaswered questions。 ( 2,5) I miss the wandavision show and wanted to try reading this comic about scarlet witch but I don't think I really like it。。。Some of the chapters were pretty interesting but in others, I got kinda lost on what was happening and I feel that it ended with a few unaswered questions。 。。。more

Cool premise but not that well executed。

I didn’t like the art style changing every issue, but I did enjoy the story of Wanda and her mother :)

A whole lot of nothingThere is promise in the plot。 I am sure that the powers that be would have thought that too when it was pitched。 The execution, however, is found wanting。 While the overall premise of Wanda discovering her past (and herself in the process) is appealing, the story meanders along in segments that do nothing to move the plot forward。 Random tie-ins to Civil War II and the Last Days of Magic come and go with little to no influence on Wanda's own story, let alone anyone else's。 A whole lot of nothingThere is promise in the plot。 I am sure that the powers that be would have thought that too when it was pitched。 The execution, however, is found wanting。 While the overall premise of Wanda discovering her past (and herself in the process) is appealing, the story meanders along in segments that do nothing to move the plot forward。 Random tie-ins to Civil War II and the Last Days of Magic come and go with little to no influence on Wanda's own story, let alone anyone else's。 For the only solo series that "The Scarlet Witch" has ever had, this one's mediocre at best。 Even the 3 stars that I did give are powered by what I know the character can be than what the character actually is in this run。 Unless drawn to this very strongly, this is an easy one to skip。 。。。more

This might actually be my first real comic since I was a litle kid! Im a huge MCU and Wanda fan so when I saw this I really needed to read it。 I really enjoyed it and the art was just everything! So so beautiful, I think it was pretty stupid to begin with this comic becuse now my standars are up there。 Im interested into try some more comics soon。

I am a big Wanda fan and really enjoyed this bindup! I read a lot of her in the Avengers and now she finally has her own comic run。 It appears Wanda is not a mutant but an actual witch and she needs to fix magic because something is wrong with it。 She travels the world to look into different cases that bring her to Hong Kong, Paris, Eastern Europe, Japan and more。 We learn more about her background and parents as well as some other witches。 Even though it might be a bit difficult for people to f I am a big Wanda fan and really enjoyed this bindup! The artwork is nice but I agree with other reviewers that it's basically a super simple detective plot with "enemy of the week" feels。 Each chapter goes by very fast with a small part of the main plot being addressed。 It was extremely lazy writing imo。 I gave an extra star than I intended bc I really enjoyed the chapter where she spoke to a psychiatrist and the chapter where she argued with Pietro。 I ADORE Agatha Harkness。 The artwork is nice but I agree with other reviewers that it's basically a super simple detective plot with "enemy of the week" feels。 Each chapter goes by very fast with a small part of the main plot being addressed。 It was extremely lazy writing imo。 I gave an extra star than I intended bc I really enjoyed the chapter where she spoke to a psychiatrist and the chapter where she argued with Pietro。 I ADORE Agatha Harkness。 。。。more

Complete collections by a single writer are kind of hard to get use to。 This being my first, I had a hard time transitioning from story to story as the first half different really flow and instead felt like I was getting snapshots into Scarlett Witch, which I basically was。 The end had a nice flow though。 HOWEVER, I will not forgive the horrible gutter loss that made it impossible to see when the page was a large spread and when it was two single pages。 The fact that this still happens is insane Complete collections by a single writer are kind of hard to get use to。 This being my first, I had a hard time transitioning from story to story as the first half different really flow and instead felt like I was getting snapshots into Scarlett Witch, which I basically was。 The end had a nice flow though。 HOWEVER, I will not forgive the horrible gutter loss that made it impossible to see when the page was a large spread and when it was two single pages。 The fact that this still happens is insane to me。 Anyway, overall it was fine。 。。。more

This was a really interesting read。 Scarlet Witch has a very twisty, difficult-to-follow backstory that displays the sometimes-bonkers complexity of comic book lore。 Her past is on full display here, which was a good way to get familiar with it without getting into the weeds of historic comics。 It was interesting to see connections to Wandavision, and to speculate about which parts of this story might inform the MCU-version of this character moving forward (gosh, I feel like a true nerd writing This was a really interesting read。 Scarlet Witch has a very twisty, difficult-to-follow backstory that displays the sometimes-bonkers complexity of comic book lore。 Her past is on full display here, which was a good way to get familiar with it without getting into the weeds of historic comics。 It was interesting to see connections to Wandavision, and to speculate about which parts of this story might inform the MCU-version of this character moving forward (gosh, I feel like a true nerd writing that sentence, but I'm down to fully embrace it)。 Overall, I liked the themes of self-compassion and self-forgiveness that came through in this collection, even though the stories themselves got a little dark at times for my taste。 My only other hesitation with this collection is the sexualization of Wanda in the art - it felt a little gratuitous and irrelevant to the story。 I've mostly read Marvel books geared toward younger readers, so perhaps I wasn't prepared for the way female characters are depicted in a more adult comic book。 It would be neat to see a comic-book version of her story that was geared toward girls and teens looking for a complex, badass female superhero - she certainly has the source material to support it。 。。。more

I enjoyed this comic, it wasn’t amazing BUT i do love the progressiveness of her after the events of reality warping shenanigans。 Wasn’t a fan of the different art in each issue tho, gave me a headache。

I really enjoyed this。 I liked the fact that Wanda dealt with her past, and then moved on in a really healthy way。

I've loved this comic saga。 She just progresses here, I wish something like that had been WandaVision。 That we truly see wanda being the best version of herself and discovering who she is and leaving the past behind。 Score: 4/5 I've loved this comic saga。 She just progresses here, I wish something like that had been WandaVision。 That we truly see wanda being the best version of herself and discovering who she is and leaving the past behind。 Score: 4/5 。。。more

This is a great delve into Wanda’s character and backstory。 Sometimes, the fight scenes did seem forced and did take away from the emotional moments, but otherwise it was a great and enjoyable read。 Highly recommended to any fans of comic books。

I wanted to like this book- some of the art is amazing。 But once again- another mystery of her origins? It just seemed eye rolling at this point。 And it feels so discombobulated。In the end, I just didn’t connect emotionally or feel blown away by the plot。

The major highlights were the Pietro issue and the therapy issue。 Lots of interesting concepts in here like the different colored magic users。 I am a sucker for that stuff (big fan of Blackest Night)。 But the pacing was all over the place the different artists was inconsistent which led to being unable to follow what was happening。

Oh my god it was amazing !!! This is my first marvel book I’ve ever read and I loved it。 The story is based on scarlet witch no other avengers it’s just Wanda and her journey。 There was one volume I didn’t like but obviously you gotta read it just to know what’s going on but other than that I loved it and would recommend this to anyone who loves wandavision and marvel in general
