I absolutely loved Roar Like a Lion by Levi Lusko! Roar Like a Lion is a 90 day devotional for kids that doesn’t shy away from the difficulty of life。 Each devotional continually reminds kids that they are not alone regardless of what happens to them, Each entry has a Bible verse and a truthful thought that corresponds with it。 This would be a great addition to anyone’s library。 I am going to be sharing the word about this book to friends and family (and get a copy for myself too)。 Thanks to Net I absolutely loved Roar Like a Lion by Levi Lusko! We absolutely have been loving this devotional in our house。 We have been using this devotional as part of our morning time routine during our homeschool day。 It is great for all age groups。 I am using it right now for kiddos ages 12, 9, 7, and 6。 We have been using the daily Bible Verse as our copy work。 My kids favorite part is the "Did You Know?" section in each devotional。 Its a fun fact or a historical tidbit which is great for us as homeschoolers to tie in a lot of subjects into one book。 We absolutely have been loving this devotional in our house。 We have been using this devotional as part of our morning time routine during our homeschool day。 It is great for all age groups。 I am using it right now for kiddos ages 12, 9, 7, and 6。 We have been using the daily Bible Verse as our copy work。 My kids favorite part is the "Did You Know?" section in each devotional。 Its a fun fact or a historical tidbit which is great for us as homeschoolers to tie in a lot of subjects into one book。 It has also brought on a lot of good conversations and reminders as we go through our day。 If you have kiddos and would like to do this as a family it is perfect for that。 But if you have a child who is a good reader and in need of a new devotional book then I definitely recommend this one。 It is perfect for a 8-11 year old。 I received a copy of this book through Just Read。 I was not required to post a positive review。 All views expressed are only my honest opinion。 。。。more

Hello, friends! Goodness, but it has been quite some time since I have had a book to review ~ with the world so crazy and all for the past couple of years。 I don't know about you, but oftentimes these days I find myself simply shaking my head, and wondering what on earth can be done to help tame some of the crazy。 Levi Lusho understands that if the adults are feeling this sense of overwhelm, then the young ones in our lives probably are as well。 He has written a new devotional, Roar Like a Lion, Hello, friends! The world that we live in can be a scary place sometimes, but for kids it can be even scarier。 We all need God to help anchor us and give us courage and to hold us stead in these quickly changing times。 One of the newest resources that I have generously received the chance to review is the new book from Levi Lusko titled Roar Like A Lion。 Roar Like A Lion was written to help give courage。 It includes 90 devotions to encourage your child to be more courageous in their faith and life, in both the The world that we live in can be a scary place sometimes, but for kids it can be even scarier。 We all need God to help anchor us and give us courage and to hold us stead in these quickly changing times。 One of the newest resources that I have generously received the chance to review is the new book from Levi Lusko titled Roar Like A Lion。 Roar Like A Lion was written to help give courage。 It includes 90 devotions to encourage your child to be more courageous in their faith and life, in both the highs and lows that life will have along their path。 First I want to talk about the devotions in this amazing new book。 Yes, I think it's amazing。What I loved about the devotions was that they speak to kids on a level they can relate to。 Since the age group this devotional is targeted to is 6-10, the devotions are not over complicated or too long to read。 They start off with a bible verse。 The devotions are short and based on issues that children in this age range would be facing in their lives。 They are very relatable and understandable and cover topics such as dealing with grief, their place in God's amazing story, how to handle peep pressure, and so many more topics that kids face daily。One of the other things I love is that the devotions have a side bar that you can use for some discussion time with your little one。 This will help you expand on what they just read and you can then offer more of God's words of wisdom to help clarify or have longer discussion with your children。 The other small detail that I think is wonderful is the short prayer at the end of the devotion for your children to pray。 Start them young praying for everything helps later in life and the small prayers are quick and meaningful。 The other amazing feature that Lusko thought about when creating this book was the illustrations。 The illustrations are by Catherine Pearson and they are absolutely beautiful and eye catching。 As you can see from the cover and the image above the illustrations are bright, colorful and so fun! They are very age appropriate and perfect for this book。 What's even more fun about the illustrations is that hidden thought the pictures are anchors for your child to find。 They are not on every page, but looking for the anchor is a great way to get your child engaged in the devotion and the quality time with you。 Overall, this is a perfect devotional for your primary school age child。 I honestly can not find anything about this devotional that I didn't like。 Even the cover is perfect。 It's a hard cover and will take the bumps and thumps that your child could put it through。 {Disclosure: Many thanks to Thomas Nelson for providing this product/product information for review。 Opinions are 100% my own and NOT influenced by monetary compensation。 I did receive the product in exchange for this review and post。} 。。。more

Raising kids has always been a hard job, but with technology the way it is now I think most parents would say it's become harder。 We all want to raise our kids to be good and capable adults, but it's so hard with all the outside influences。 That's where Roar Like a Lion comes in to help us reach our children's hearts and guide them the way we want them to go。 Levi Lusko with the help of Tama Fortner has given us this amazing book to help us reach the hearts of those children that are in our live Raising kids has always been a hard job, but with technology the way it is now I think most parents would say it's become harder。 We all want to raise our kids to be good and capable adults, but it's so hard with all the outside influences。 That's where Roar Like a Lion comes in to help us reach our children's hearts and guide them the way we want them to go。 Levi Lusko with the help of Tama Fortner has given us this amazing book to help us reach the hearts of those children that are in our lives。 This book has 90 devotions to help us reach our children's hearts。 Some of the ones that I thought were helpful for my son were the following: Speak Up!Stand Out!Goofs, Mistakes and Mess-Ups! The Courage to ForgiveAlone in a CrowdYou've Got a PurposeStronger Than Any StormThe first thing that jumped out to me when I opened the package was the beautiful illustrations。 The entire book is so very colorful and eye catching! Each devotional starts with a verse。 In #38, You've Got a Purpose, the verses is Colossians 3:17。 We read how God has a purpose that is specific for each and every one of us。 God made us to be amazing and special。 One thing we have to realize is that we aren't all made to do things that other people look at as extraordinary。 We weren't all made to be missionaries in a foreign land。 Sometimes our purpose is to just smile at someone that is having a rough day。 Maybe they needed that smile more than anyone could know。 One way to expand on what you've read is the Get Ready to Roar section。 This helps you to get your child to think about what they can do with what they just learned。 These devotionals are short, just 2 pages, but packed with just enough information to get your child thinking。 That can then lead to open discussions that could have amazing outcomes。 The suggested reading age is 6-10。 This book is eye catching from the moment you see it because it's got a lion roaring on the cover。 I mean what child isn't fascinated by a lion? My son is 14, but I felt like many of the topics were things he is dealing with at his current age。 I think this would be a great devotional for a family that has multiple ages and therefore you could meet each child where she or he needs to be met for their age and emotions。 For most of us the school year has just started and this would be a great book to read to the kids in school and help them learn how to deal with some of those tough issues。 Head over and grab Roar Like a Lion for your family and start that new tradition of doing devotions each night with your children。 Disclosure: Many thanks to Thomas Nelson for providing this product/product information for review。 Opinions are 100% my own and NOT influenced by monetary compensation。 I did receive the product in exchange for this review and post。 。。。more
