Summary

In this charming tale, a woman gets transported to a fantasy world and pursues her own quest: opening a book cafe!

When a god tells Tsukina that she is to be transported to another world to become its savior, Tsukina isn't interested。 As a bookish thirty-something, she has zero desire to go on some big adventure。。。so when she arrives in the strange new land, she decides to use her magical powers to create a cozy little book cafe instead。 But when a fellow savior starts causing trouble, Tsukina might just have to play the hero, after all!

More of a 4。5 stars, but this was super cute! A great start that already has me invested in the romance and believing it 100%, a rarity with most manga for me。 I don't care all that much about the antagonist yet, any part focusing on them kind of felt like I was a scene i'd see a dozen times before with other isekais, but as soon as it got back to the cute romance in the cafe all was well。 I look forward to reading the next one, and this is one i'm even considering the light novel on! 3。5 rounded up, because how could I not love an isekai story where the heroine, when confronted by a god ready to send her to another world, very calmly turns him down because she's thirty-three and would rather stay home and read, thank you very much。 When he won't take no for an answer, she says she'll go be his savior, but only if she can spend her time in a forest running a book cafe and not do any of that "savior" crap unless absolutely necessary, and since there's already another isekai vi 3。5 rounded up, because how could I not love an isekai story where the heroine, when confronted by a god ready to send her to another world, very calmly turns him down because she's thirty-three and would rather stay home and read, thank you very much。 When he won't take no for an answer, she says she'll go be his savior, but only if she can spend her time in a forest running a book cafe and not do any of that "savior" crap unless absolutely necessary, and since there's already another isekai victim in Othell, that shouldn't be a problem。Or should it? Even if Tsukina ends up on a much more traditional isekai trajectory, this gets points for how she begins it, and I very much hope that the original light novels get an English translation in the near future, because I can tell that the adaptation is skimming lightly in places。 。。。more

I don’t usually read isekai manga but the cover of this first volume looked cute so I had to give it a try (but really don’t judge a book by its cover!!)。 This was cute! Tsukina and the captain of the knights… *blushes* romance aside, I’m actually interested in the story as well!!!
