This book was definitely fun to read to younger children because of all of the different types of construction trucks and the process of getting them ready for bed。 The story goes through each truck and how they finish up their work for the day and rest for the night so that they will be refreshed and ready for the next day。 This is a great bedtime story for young children and I think it would be fun in incorporate in my classroom if I teach kinder or 1st grade。

Who knew that construction vehicles were gendered？ And all male？ Otherwise there were definitely things to like here。 There was good description of different types of vehicles with decent art。 I guess I found the anthropomorphized trucks just a little annoying。 You could have done this whole book and had people。 But a nicely different take on a bedtime book。

I love these books。 They make for such wonderful read-alouds with flowing rhyme， text， and neat illustrations。 In hindsight， the illustrations remind me a lot of Disney-Pixar’s “Cars”movie。 All of the trucks are personified， given faces and different personalities。 A nice follow up to the first “Mighty， Mighty Construction Site” book。
