“But the eyes are blind。 One must look with the heart。”I was confused while reading it for the first time。 But after starting it for a second time I realized that it truly is a beautiful book with an incredible message!

Jó pár év kellett, hogy a híres idézeteken túl végre eljöjjön a megfelelő pillanat, hogy elolvashassam ezt a könyvet。 Nem tudtam mire számítsak, de szerencsére csupa pozitív gondolatokkal telt meg a fejem és a szívem is。 Egy igazán lélekemelő mese, mely inkább a felnőtteknek szól。 Azoknak akik már nem a gyermeki egyszerűséggel tekintenek a világra, hanem hajlamosak kicsit mindent felületesen / rohanva / túlbonyolítva az igazi értékeket figyelmen kívül hagyva szemlélni a világot。 Mert az igazi cs Jó pár év kellett, hogy a híres idézeteken túl végre eljöjjön a megfelelő pillanat, hogy elolvashassam ezt a könyvet。 Nem tudtam mire számítsak, de szerencsére csupa pozitív gondolatokkal telt meg a fejem és a szívem is。 Egy igazán lélekemelő mese, mely inkább a felnőtteknek szól。 Azoknak akik már nem a gyermeki egyszerűséggel tekintenek a világra, hanem hajlamosak kicsit mindent felületesen / rohanva / túlbonyolítva az igazi értékeket figyelmen kívül hagyva szemlélni a világot。 Mert az igazi csoda tényleg ottvan mindenben, a legapróbb jelentéktelennek tűnő dologban is és milyen igaz, hogy „Ami igazán lényeges, az a szemnek láthatatlan。” 。。。more

For those in elementary years, it’s an adventure story eagerly devoured。 The middle-schooler will be able to see some of the social messages like the sweet but self-centered rose, the unique inhabitants of the prince’s neighboring planets – each representing another aspect of what it means to be a human being in this time and place。 (which, considering that the book was written in 1942, is quite prescient)。 My favorite part when I read this as a child was the portrayal of children as perhaps- superior to adults。 A Peter Pan-like appreciation for never growing up and letting imagination and creativity wither and die in one’s grown-up body。And Saint-Exupéry probably says it best in about his dedication:To Leon WerthI ask children to forgive me for dedicating this book to a grown-up。 I have a serious excuse: this grown-up is the best friend I have in the world。 I have another excuse: this grown-up can understand everything, even books for children。 I have a third excuse: he lives in France where he is hungry and cold。 He needs to be comforted。 If all these excuses are not enough then I want to dedicate this book to the child whom this grown-up once was。 All grown-ups were children first。 (But few of them remember it。) So I correct my dedication:To Leon Werth,When he was a little boyThis is a book about imagination, adventure, philosophy, communication, innocence, self-sacrifice, and love。 。。。more

I actually read this book because, during a past life reading, I was told that I reminded her of the little prince, so out of curiosity I decided I would read a children's book。I don't think this was the most groundbreaking or provocative text I've read, but it was charming, succinct and wholesome。 I can see how others might find it to be a bit on the nose, but I think It struck a good balance between being enjoyable to a younger audience while simultaneously being thought-provoking, touching on I actually read this book because, during a past life reading, I was told that I reminded her of the little prince, so out of curiosity I decided I would read a children's book。I don't think this was the most groundbreaking or provocative text I've read, but it was charming, succinct and wholesome。 I can see how others might find it to be a bit on the nose, but I think It struck a good balance between being enjoyable to a younger audience while simultaneously being thought-provoking, touching on the delusions of adult life and a loss of connection to what is truly important in life, what cannot be seen with the eyes, only felt by the heart。“People where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden。。。 yet they don't find what they're looking for。。。They don't find it," I answered。And yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water。。。"Of course," I answered。And the little prince added, "But eyes are blind。 You have to look with the heart。” 。。。more

The best book that was ever written。 I have nothing else to say。

I'm not quite sure how to review this book。 A devastatingly sweet story, it was a story with a strong message, but I didn't overly enjoy reading it。 It had been on my to-read list for quite a while, and I wish I had read it when I was younger。 I'm not quite sure how to review this book。 A devastatingly sweet story, it was a story with a strong message, but I didn't overly enjoy reading it。 It had been on my to-read list for quite a while, and I wish I had read it when I was younger。 。。。more

“But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe;” I have heard of The Little Prince all my life and only at 22 years old did I finally read the story, and it is SO warm and beautiful。 Part of me wishes I heard this when I was little so I could reread it and see how adult me would comprehend it because I am sure through growth, this would be even better。
