Summary

The squad you love is out of time。 Prepare for the thrilling finale in the epic, best-selling Aurora Cycle series about a band of unlikely heroes who just might be the galaxy's last hope for survival。

Is this the end?

What happens when you ask a bunch of losers, discipline cases, and misfits to save the galaxy from an ancient evil? The ancient evil wins, of course。
Wait。 。 。 。 Not。 So。 Fast。
When we last saw Squad 312, they working together seamlessly (aka, freaking out) as an intergalactic battle raged and an ancient superweapon threatened to obliterate Earth。 Everything went horribly wrong, naturally。
But as it turns out, not all endings are endings, and the te4am has one last chance to rewrite thirs。 Maybe two。 It's complicated。
Cue Zila, Fin, and Scarlett (and MAGELLAN!): making friends, making enemies, and making history? Sure, no problem
Cue Tyler, Kal, and Auri: uniting with two of the galaxy’s most hated villains? Um, okay。 That, too。
Actually saving the galaxy, though?
Now that will take a miracle。

I could have gone with a bit less on the stuck in a time paradox, but it was so perfect。 This broke my heart, healed it, and broke it all over again。 A true masterpiece and a series that I wish I could reread for the first time all over again。

Aurora's End (The Aurora Cycle #3) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff was one of my most highly anticipated releases of this year and it lived up to my sky high expectations。 I don't want to give anything away, but everyone was sent off spectacularly。 It's got some great twists and turns, so better buckle up! Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff make one heck of a team。 Aurora's End (The Aurora Cycle #3) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff was one of my most highly anticipated releases of this year and it lived up to my sky high expectations。 I don't want to give anything away, but everyone was sent off spectacularly。 It's got some great twists and turns, so better buckle up! 3。5 stars for this final book in the Aurora Cycle SF trilogy。 It begins and finishes with a bang - literally, lots of them - and has lots of wild events in between。 When we left Squad 312, six young adult space academy grads trying to save the galaxy, at the end of book #2, Aurora Burning, they were split into three groups, ALL of them on the verge of being blown up by space missiles or (in one case) being killed by the psychopathic leader of a warrior clan who has a spaceship that can kill star 3。5 stars for this final book in the Aurora Cycle SF trilogy。 It begins and finishes with a bang - literally, lots of them - and has lots of wild events in between。 When we left Squad 312, six young adult space academy grads trying to save the galaxy, at the end of book #2, Aurora Burning, they were split into three groups, ALL of them on the verge of being blown up by space missiles or (in one case) being killed by the psychopathic leader of a warrior clan who has a spaceship that can kill stars (long story)。 Spoiler: no one dies, but three of them get zapped a couple of hundred years into the past, where they get trapped in a time loop, and two others (along with said psychopath and his ship) get bounced a few decades into the future, when the evil Ra'haam, an alien species, has nearly completed its goal of taking over the galaxy and assimilating everyone into their hive mind, in a Borg-like way, except with spores。 Meanwhile, their leader Tyler has hooked up with the warrior daughter of the psychopath and is trying to convince her to let him attempt to prevent the evil Ra'haam from blowing up a conclave where the leaders of all spacefaring races in the galaxy have gathered。The pace is pretty frantic, events are maybe a little over the top, and I couldn't wholly buy into the way the main conflict in this series, an epic galactic battle with the Ra'haam, was ultimately resolved。 But all in all it's a pretty well put-together space trilogy。 If YA science fiction (with a strong side of diverse romance) is your jam, you could do a lot worse。 Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC! 。。。more

Holy Cake!I write this as I weep (as I have been for the past hour reading the last few chapters)。 It was beautiful! An end that each and every one of our beloved characters deserve! There is so much that happens in this book。。。 You CANNOT put it down!Squad 312 FORVER! NOW, I shall return to my tears*See you in the stars, fellow readers*

I am not disappointed by the end of the series。 Due to everything being balanced, I still don't think the writing was always the smoothest, but 1) there was a lot going on storywise, and 2) there was a lot being attempted conceptually。 I'm good with it。 The big thing that stuck throughout was the found-family feels and the importance of love。 In space。 With some timey-wimey stuff。 Go Squad 312! Such an enjoyable series! I’m very much going to miss the characters。 Very invested in their stories! But I am definitely satisfied with the ending。

Good, but not as expected。 I had higher hopes for this。 Without spoilers: the authors wanted to get everyone a overly "fitting" ending。 Even though it sometimes lacks common sense。 Still, a good book with a loveable squad 312。 Good, but not as expected。 I had higher hopes for this。 Without spoilers: the authors wanted to get everyone a overly "fitting" ending。 Even though it sometimes lacks common sense。 Still, a good book with a loveable squad 312。 。。。more

Oh man。 If you expected a fully thought-out, thorough review, you’ve come to the wrong place, my friend。 For while I’m writing this review, I’m all in my feelings, and cohesive thoughts are difficult to string together 😅 Because I loved this book。 Particularly the second half had my heart in its grasp so much that I was a sobbing mess by the time I read the final words on the page。 This book introduced plots and twists that I didn’t even know were possible, made me love this squad more than I ha Oh man。 If you expected a fully thought-out, thorough review, you’ve come to the wrong place, my friend。 For while I’m writing this review, I’m all in my feelings, and cohesive thoughts are difficult to string together 😅 Because I loved this book。 Particularly the second half had my heart in its grasp so much that I was a sobbing mess by the time I read the final words on the page。 This book introduced plots and twists that I didn’t even know were possible, made me love this squad more than I had before, and had me on edge right through the very end。 This book gave me all I went into it for and more! I don’t know what happened here, but you can colour me disappointed。Someone asked me to sum up this book for them and I was able to do so in under four minutes。This book was so drawn out and, honestly, incredibly boring。 For a book that’s so long, I would have expected something to actually happen in the first 3/4 of the book, but nothing came。 Very minor things of note happened, but nothing that was actual plot to keep the reader captivated or move the story forward。 And once anything did happe I don’t know what happened here, but you can colour me disappointed。Someone asked me to sum up this book for them and I was able to do so in under four minutes。This book was so drawn out and, honestly, incredibly boring。 For a book that’s so long, I would have expected something to actually happen in the first 3/4 of the book, but nothing came。 Very minor things of note happened, but nothing that was actual plot to keep the reader captivated or move the story forward。 And once anything did happen, I didn’t even care any more。The cast of characters I had grown to love over the previous two books felt lifeless and fell flat。Remarkably, this isn’t the worst book I read in 2021。 But it’s a very close second。 Apparently this is the year of highly disappointing sequels/finales/spinoffs。 。。。more

Woooooooow 。。 I'll miss the crew very much 。。 after a hell lot of twists and turns making me worried if the end is going to be tragic, that's one unexpected 。。 unimaginable 。。 fantastic conclusion。 Throughout the trilogy, the story never faltered and never felt dragged。 It was so intriguing that I feel sad it has ended。 A wonderful trilogy 。。 Woooooooow 。。 I'll miss the crew very much 。。 after a hell lot of twists and turns making me worried if the end is going to be tragic, that's one unexpected 。。 unimaginable 。。 fantastic conclusion。 Throughout the trilogy, the story never faltered and never felt dragged。 It was so intriguing that I feel sad it has ended。 A wonderful trilogy 。。 。。。more

This book started with a few hundred BAMFs, ZAPs, and BOOMs and just kept me on the edge of my seat for the entirety。 I literally busted through the entire trilogy in a weekend。 I'm so glad I waited until all 3 were out before I decided to pick them up。 Cause that cliffhanger in book 2 would have destroyed me until this book came out。 This book tore my heart to shreds and then lovingly glued all the pieces back together。 I'm sad that this trilogy is over, but I'm glad these amazing characters go This book started with a few hundred BAMFs, ZAPs, and BOOMs and just kept me on the edge of my seat for the entirety。 I literally busted through the entire trilogy in a weekend。 I'm so glad I waited until all 3 were out before I decided to pick them up。 Cause that cliffhanger in book 2 would have destroyed me until this book came out。 This book tore my heart to shreds and then lovingly glued all the pieces back together。 I'm sad that this trilogy is over, but I'm glad these amazing characters got the end they deserve! 。。。more

Holy cake! It feels like I waited 50 years for this book。 Then, it was in my hands, and life happened。 So, I read the entire book this weekend。 I’m always nervous about series finale books, but this one was done amazingly well。 The Aurora Cycle is high up on my “favorite series” list, and I’d 10/10 recommend it。

I said I wasn't going to finish this series。 I'm glad that through a book mix up that I ended up listening to it anyway。 The book lags a bit, but the story comes together。 I said I wasn't going to finish this series。 I'm glad that through a book mix up that I ended up listening to it anyway。 The book lags a bit, but the story comes together。 。。。more

LOVED this end to the trilogy。 Ends are tied up nicely, definitely included some surprises, but a very satisfying ending。 I was left guessing about some characters' fates right up to the end。 Also, once I realized that the tagline was a double entendre, I didn't stop giggling about that as I read。 LOVED this end to the trilogy。 Ends are tied up nicely, definitely included some surprises, but a very satisfying ending。 I was left guessing about some characters' fates right up to the end。 Also, once I realized that the tagline was a double entendre, I didn't stop giggling about that as I read。 。。。more
