This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I really like the character of Stink。 I think the writing is well done and would be a fun book for kids， but the two start deduction is due to one event in the first book "The Incredible Shrinking Kid" that I want to warn parents about - spoiler alert - Stink is asked to take care of the class pet （a newt）。 Judy （his sister） insists on helping but ends up mistakenly putting the newt down the kitchen sink drain and then mistakenly turns on the garbage disposal looking for the light！！！ I can not i I really like the character of Stink。 I think the writing is well done and would be a fun book for kids， but the two start deduction is due to one event in the first book "The Incredible Shrinking Kid" that I want to warn parents about - spoiler alert - Stink is asked to take care of the class pet （a newt）。 Judy （his sister） insists on helping but ends up mistakenly putting the newt down the kitchen sink drain and then mistakenly turns on the garbage disposal looking for the light！！！ I can not imagine giving this book to any child I love with this scene in the book。 They do try to make light of it later - saying that probably the newt got down the drain before Judy turned on the disposal and Stink himself while he reacts strongly to at the moment seems to get over this event during the timeline of the book。 But I just think it is horrible and don't know why they needed this scene in this book。 Otherwise I felt like the series and the other two books in the collection were pretty good， but someone should have edited out this scene or at least made it less horrific。 。。。more

My son can't put these books down。 I recommend this series for anyone who has a child who finds reading difficult or even finds it hard to find topics that boys would love。 I am so happy to have finally found a series that my son loves that I'm sad to see Megan McDonald only wrote 10 books。 I hope that when these books end my son continues his love of books。 My son can't put these books down。 I recommend this series for anyone who has a child who finds reading difficult or even finds it hard to find topics that boys would love。 I am so happy to have finally found a series that my son loves that I'm sad to see Megan McDonald only wrote 10 books。 I hope that when these books end my son continues his love of books。 。。。more
