My daughter brought this book home from school and she was giggling so much she struggled to read it to me。 I can't wait for us to check out all the other books in the "How to Catch" series。 My daughter brought this book home from school and she was giggling so much she struggled to read it to me。 I can't wait for us to check out all the other books in the "How to Catch" series。 。。。more

I like unicorns! My favorite part was when they tried to capture the unicorn with unicorn lemonade。 I love that the unicorn leaves a rainbow wherever he flies and that he can shrink。

Tom Collins

My students asked me to follow the rainbow on every page。

My super quick review of How to Catch a Unicorn by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton。Cute for a younger audience, but not a must buy for unicorn fans。 The illustrations were colorful and I felt that they would appeal to kids, but they weren't as whimsical or magical as I think unicorn illustrations should be。 I guess I shouldn’t be surprised as this is part of a run of 12 books in the “How to Catch a ____” series。 It does have that formulaic feel to it。 My super quick review of How to Catch a Unicorn by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton。Cute for a younger audience, but not a must buy for unicorn fans。 The illustrations were colorful and I felt that they would appeal to kids, but they weren't as whimsical or magical as I think unicorn illustrations should be。 I guess I shouldn’t be surprised as this is part of a run of 12 books in the “How to Catch a ____” series。 It does have that formulaic feel to it。 。。。more

This is a super cute book! I really wish the kids had been able to catch and befriend the unicorn, but it was still cute。 And the pictures were BEAUTIFUL。 My niece love this book, too, which is all that matters since I bought the book for her。

The illustrations in this fun book on how to catch Unicorns are vibrant and colorful, which are sure to keep young readers engaged。 The kids in the book begin to set traps attempting to catch the unicorn, but it is no use because the animals help her get free。 The one thing I do not like about the 'How to Catch' books is that they are never actually caught。 The illustrations in this fun book on how to catch Unicorns are vibrant and colorful, which are sure to keep young readers engaged。 The kids in the book begin to set traps attempting to catch the unicorn, but it is no use because the animals help her get free。 The one thing I do not like about the 'How to Catch' books is that they are never actually caught。 。。。more

With a glittery & rainbow cover, how could I not completely adore a book about catching unicorns? Well, keep in mind, I’m obviously not the target audience (but should be – I’m a librarian who sees many children throughout my workday) and I’m not sure how this landed on my radar。 Probably an adorable young patron raving about the pretty unicorn book。 When a patron raves, the librarian at least peeks at the story and artwork。It is colorful and the traps the kids set result in detailed layouts With a glittery & rainbow cover, how could I not completely adore a book about catching unicorns? I think this book was okay, I did like the colorful pictures and the fun idea behind the book, but I think this book was about how NOT to catch a unicorn。 The rhyming in the book almost felt forced on the reader, but it was a cute book to read to little kids。 This read could be used to teach students how to work together towards a common goal。

This book is really fun and colorful。 I think students would enjoy following along with the different things the kids try to catch the unicorn。 As a teacher, I would ask questions throughout such as "Do you think this plan will work" or "What types of traps would you set to catch the unicorn?" In How to Catch a Unicorn, a unicorn is visiting her animal friends at the zoo。 There are many children there who spot her as she’s flying and want to try and trap her! They set all kinds of traps including traps with ice cream, snakes, and a bunch of butterflies in attempt to catch her! However, all her animal friends help her from being captured even with all the crazy traps! I loved this book! The illustrations drew me in right away can every single page caught my attention over again! I loved how the unicorn was only partially shown on each page to keep the readers in suspense。 I thought it was interesting how the book showed the many ways that the children didn’t catch the unicorn, although it was a fun story overall! I would recommend this book to readers between the ages of 4 and 7 who like reading fantasy picture books! I would recommend this book to any gender; however I think young girls would love this book in particular! This picture book includes children at the zoo of different color and different ethnicities。 。。。more

This beautifully illustrated book was a hoot。 I chuckled a few times。 The unicorn was too quick to be caught and the poor kids were frustrated。 I think my grand daughter will be enchanted because she loves unicorns。 I hope she doesn't make a mess trying to catch a unicorn。 This beautifully illustrated book was a hoot。 I chuckled a few times。 The unicorn was too quick to be caught and the poor kids were frustrated。 I think my grand daughter will be enchanted because she loves unicorns。 I hope she doesn't make a mess trying to catch a unicorn。 。。。more

We love these ‘How to Catch a。。。’ books。 This one was no exception。 My unicorn obsessed little girl loved this book。 She’s started getting into the books we read more, and is actually asking questions about the story。 She kept asking me why the unicorn was running away, and why the kids were trying to catch it。 It’s really fun to see her get interested in a story, and wonder why things are happening。 This story is fun, and colorful。 We might have to add this one to our collection。 These books ar We love these ‘How to Catch a。。。’ books。 This one was no exception。 My unicorn obsessed little girl loved this book。 She’s started getting into the books we read more, and is actually asking questions about the story。 She kept asking me why the unicorn was running away, and why the kids were trying to catch it。 It’s really fun to see her get interested in a story, and wonder why things are happening。 This story is fun, and colorful。 We might have to add this one to our collection。 These books are great for older toddlers。 。。。more
