Batman: The White Knight is an interesting and mature look into the psychological state of Batman as a character， the Joker， and what a city like Gotham really needs。 I really liked it and couldn't wait to read the sequel。Now I have read the sequel， and it's really disappointing。 In many ways， it was all about Bruce Wayne's distant ancestors and feels like a standard Batman story that had some swearwords in it。 I was expecting more and got less。Plus， it seems to be setting up another sequel that Batman: The White Knight is an interesting and mature look into the psychological state of Batman as a character， the Joker， and what a city like Gotham really needs。 I really liked it and couldn't wait to read the sequel。Now I have read the sequel， and it's really disappointing。 In many ways， it was all about Bruce Wayne's distant ancestors and feels like a standard Batman story that had some swearwords in it。 I was expecting more and got less。Plus， it seems to be setting up another sequel that， quite frankly， I am not all that curious about right now。 。。。more

D'abord emballé par le début de White Knight， puis déçu par sa fin， je dois avouer que je me suis laissé surprendre par cette suite。 Murphy continue de revisiter le Batverse et on ne sait pas trop quoi en penser。。。Les dessins sont très beaux， l'encrage et les couleurs également。 Il y a des rebondissements qui nous coupent la chique et ça tabasse de tous les côtés。 Par contre il y a des trucs qui sont un peu foireux : le Joker perd ses cheveux verts etc dès que Napier refait surface ; comment on D'abord emballé par le début de White Knight， puis déçu par sa fin， je dois avouer que je me suis laissé surprendre par cette suite。 Murphy continue de revisiter le Batverse et on ne sait pas trop quoi en penser。。。Les dessins sont très beaux， l'encrage et les couleurs également。 Il y a des rebondissements qui nous coupent la chique et ça tabasse de tous les côtés。 Par contre il y a des trucs qui sont un peu foireux : le Joker perd ses cheveux verts etc dès que Napier refait surface ; comment on explique ce changement physique de manière logique ？ Les "clients" de Ruth disparaissent en même temps qu'elle et ne sont jamais identifiés ; euh ？ Et puis l'interlude "Von Freeze"。。。 vraiment， en 2020 on pond encore des comics où les méchants c'est les nazis ？ C'est dommage parce que sans ces détails， l'ensemble n'est pas mauvais du tout。。。 On espère juste que l'auteur s'est mieux entouré pour la suite。。。 。。。more

This book just rehashes all the beats of its predecessor。 The good and the bad but mostly in a less effective way。The new villain is set up as this great threat， but his power isn’t earned。 They’re a random person who’s the most dangerous person ever not because they should be but because the story requires them to be。

Este cómic me dejó muy sorprendido gratamente！Sabemos que las secuelas no suelen ser buenas y White Knight， aún con su fan service， me gustó mucho por el tipo de historia que era y cómo retomaba elementos de obras icónicas de Batman y los reinventaba。 Aquí hace lo mismo y de muy buena manera。 Retoma elementos de las historias originales de Azrael y Bane para seguir explorando esa faceta de Batman como el "villano" de la historia。 También sentí que retomaba algunos elementos de la mitología de Go Este cómic me dejó muy sorprendido gratamente！Sabemos que las secuelas no suelen ser buenas y White Knight， aún con su fan service， me gustó mucho por el tipo de historia que era y cómo retomaba elementos de obras icónicas de Batman y los reinventaba。 Aquí hace lo mismo y de muy buena manera。 Retoma elementos de las historias originales de Azrael y Bane para seguir explorando esa faceta de Batman como el "villano" de la historia。 También sentí que retomaba algunos elementos de la mitología de Gotham， algunas referencias para esto sería Morrison， Milligan y Snyder; en esta historia Murphy explora el pasado de Gotham y de los Wayne para profundizar en la psicología de Batman y en las razones por las cuáles lucha。La historia va sobre la última broma de Joker， el cuál conoce un secreto que podría destruir los cimientos de Gotham y de Batman。 Como una resistencia en contra de lo que hizo Napier por la ciudad en el tomo anterior， Joker decide liberar su gran plan y poniendo en jaque a Batman y la batifamilia。La historia es muy entretenida y difícil de soltar。 Pocas veces me pasa eso con cómics， donde empiezo y aunque me diga: "sólo un número"， termino leyendo el tomo completo como aquí。 Algo que me sorprendió y me gustó mucho es la cantidad de gore que tiene esta historia。 Aquí mueren personajes， muchos， y de maneras horrendas。 Eso tampoco es común en los cómics donde realmente nadie muere pero parece que el universo que Murphy está construyendo， su propio "elseworld" tiene otro concepto de lo que significa morir y me agrada bastante。 Varias muertes no me las veía venir。No me termina de encantar el protagonismo de Harley Quinn， desde el final del tomo anterior con la revelación de quién es realmente el White Knight， a todo lo que sucede aquí con ella， empiezo a entenderlo pero todavía no me encanta。Lo que está haciendo Murphy con el universo de Batman es moderno y al mismo tiempo retoma elementos clásicos。 Me gusta mucho y es muy recomendable。 。。。more
