The holiday favorite 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS has joined up with the melody of DECK THE HALLS for a festive Christmas read unlike anything I've read before。 This is a classic story and a popular one within our household, but to have the addition of the "Deck the Halls" tune makes it so much more magical。 My daughter loves winding it up as we cuddle together for the story。Like always, the flow of the words is smooth and they roll right off your tongue, which makes it easier to read aloud。 The holiday favorite 'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS has joined up with the melody of DECK THE HALLS for a festive Christmas read unlike anything I've read before。 This is a classic story and a popular one within our household, but to have the addition of the "Deck the Halls" tune makes it so much more magical。 My daughter loves winding it up as we cuddle together for the story。Like always, the flow of the words is smooth and they roll right off your tongue, which makes it easier to read aloud。 The illustrations are soft and would make this a great Christmas bedtime story, especially with the melody to lull the reader to sleep。 The book is rather thick from the music box, but it's extremely light。Final Verdict: This combination is one that I would recommend to those looking for a little more holiday spirit。 The added bonus of the music succeeds in wholly entrancing the reader。 Personally, it'll be a Christmas Eve tradition with my daughter and I love seeing the smile on her face as she winds the box。 。。。more

This large version of the book was only $0。40 at my store and for that price I chose that it is a great book to add to my Christmas collection given to its large font。 And perhaps it may even find its way as a Christmas present to some child who may need the magic of Christmas in their lives。 What I love about this version is the large print writing that decorates the page。 The poem doesn't deviate off from the original telling this the reader who knows the words will find their old friend with This large version of the book was only $0。40 at my store and for that price I chose that it is a great book to add to my Christmas collection given to its large font。 And perhaps it may even find its way as a Christmas present to some child who may need the magic of Christmas in their lives。 What I love about this version is the large print writing that decorates the page。 The poem doesn't deviate off from the original telling this the reader who knows the words will find their old friend within the pages。 But the best part about this variation are the illustrations。 There are two sets - one are the brightly colored and much detailed main illustrations while at the same time there are also black-and-white sketches that help to supplement the main illustrations。 As a result the reader will find that a main character in the store is a kitty cat whose curiosity brings it out even when a wrapped piece of cheese is tucked before the quite empty mouse house。 At the same time there quite whimsical details that will enchant the readers such as the bells on the antlers and the little name plates as well as the remaining hoof prints on the roofs of the houses at the end。 This is truly a most beautiful work of art for such a classic Christmas tale and most definitely a keeper for those who want to share this Christmas tale through many more generations。 。。。more

The Night Before ChristmasClement C。 Moore and Jan Brett wrote and painted this poem。 I couldn't discover any awards that this book has received, but I believe it is deserving of some awards because it is so deserving of our attention。 This poem was written for children ages 4 to 8。 On Christmas Eve, a magnificent image of a snowy region and a Santa Claus presenting gifts to sleeping children is described in this poem。 The poem's creative use of language seems to immerse the reader in the scenar The Night Before ChristmasClement C。 Moore and Jan Brett wrote and painted this poem。 I couldn't discover any awards that this book has received, but I believe it is deserving of some awards because it is so deserving of our attention。 This poem was written for children ages 4 to 8。 On Christmas Eve, a magnificent image of a snowy region and a Santa Claus presenting gifts to sleeping children is described in this poem。 The poem's creative use of language seems to immerse the reader in the scenario, and every two sentences' last word is rhymed and easy to read。 The drawings in the book use traditional Christmas hues of red and green, and the Christmas costumes, Santa Claus, sleigh, and other elements in the illustrations properly satisfy children's expectations of Christmas。 This book captures the wonderful mood of Christmas Eve and the desire for Santa Claus to bring gifts to the children。 This book will appeal to a large number of children because it closely resembles a child's ideal Christmas。 It's a great book to share with kids when they're discussing festivals。 I believe that this is an excellent book for kids to read, strongly recommend it。 。。。more

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,And away they all flew like the down of a thistle。But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight—“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!" I was at Barnes and Noble today buying a Christmas gift for a friend and I saw this on a table—just begging to be bought。 I don’t think you can go wrong with a Little Golden Book or The Night Before Christmas。

This is a poem I've known about most of my life。 I'm sure I've already read it, but I decided to read it again with illustrations by Jessie Willcox Smith。 What a delight! This poem can be read every year and still enchant the reader。 This is a poem I've known about most of my life。 I'm sure I've already read it, but I decided to read it again with illustrations by Jessie Willcox Smith。 What a delight! I never knew that this book was told in the first person by the father and not the children。 Well, at least in this version, the father is the narrator of the picture book。

Nothing really left to say about this classic holiday poem is there? My nieces and nephews have most of it down, so when we revisit it, it's always a lively and active retelling。 Nothing really left to say about this classic holiday poem is there? The Poem is nice and a classic。 This review is specific to the edition illustrated by Robert Ingpen。The artist captures the sentiment of the poem really well。 His illustrations are always full of details and bring a level of warmth that is hard to match。 This book is smaller compared to other books I have illustrated by Ingpen, but it is not a miniature (I have another cute edition of the poem that is basically a miniature)。
