Summary

Dragons! Daring! Danger! The first fully illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is an extraordinary creative achievement by two extraordinary talents。 Jim Kay's inspired reimagining of J。K。 Rowling's classic series has captured a devoted following worldwide, and the drama just gets bigger as the series progresses。 With over 150 illustrations, Jim Kay's unique vision delivers breathtaking scenes and unforgettable characters – including fan favourites Cedric Diggory, Fleur Delacour and Viktor Krum illustrated by Jim Kay for the first time。

Fizzing with magic and brimming with humour, this full-colour edition will captivate fans and new readers alike as Harry, now in his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, finds himself competing in the legendary Triwizard Tournament and facing death-defying tasks, dragons and Dark wizards… Making magic in paint, pencil and pixels, this is the Wizarding World as we have never seen it before。

“Seeing Jim Kay's illustrations moved me profoundly。 I love his interpretation of Harry Potter's world, and I feel honoured and grateful that he has lent his talent to it” – J。K。 Rowling

“Kay's illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is a triumph – a book so alive it seems to jump, explode and slither out of your hands as you read” – Telegraph on HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE ILLUSTRATED EDITION

“It is stunning … with full-colour illustrations throughout from Greenaway Medal winner Kay, who breathes incredible life into these much-loved characters and locations, staying faithful to Rowling's vision but revitalising the story for a new generation” – Bookseller on HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE ILLUSTRATED EDITION

“One of the greatest literary adventures of modern times” – Sunday Telegraph

(A) 93% | Astonishing Thoughts: This is an unforgettable book。 Amazingly written, the twists and turns make a loophole for what you thought to jump in to。 It's never too boring to end, you just end up flipping the page like you never stop。 You try to stop reading, but you can't。 When you ending up finishing the book, you just start to read it again and never feel like going to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix。 It just is written so perfectly and amazingly。 We also meet new chara (A) 93% | Astonishing Thoughts: This is an unforgettable book。 Amazingly written, the twists and turns make a loophole for what you thought to jump in to。 It's never too boring to end, you just end up flipping the page like you never stop。 You try to stop reading, but you can't。 When you ending up finishing the book, you just start to read it again and never feel like going to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix。 It just is written so perfectly and amazingly。 We also meet new characters who try to blow us into way different directions, like ghostly Fleur or handsome Cedric。 The question tries to remain unanswered but gives you a sickly pit in your stomach: Who put Harry in? and Will he get the Goblet? The questions remain until the very end of the extraordinary book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire。 。。。more

My favourite book in an exceptional series, the Goblet of Fire is the point at which the Harry Potter books truly hit their stride。 Evolving from a well-written children's series to a nuanced and layered work of literature, Rowling's' development as a writer is most clear at this point。 This book is inspiring and heart-breaking, whimsical and devastatingly dark; and a magnificent continuation of a consistently brilliant series。 Whenever I finish reading it, I can't help but mourn that it's over。 My favourite book in an exceptional series, the Goblet of Fire is the point at which the Harry Potter books truly hit their stride。 Evolving from a well-written children's series to a nuanced and layered work of literature, Rowling's' development as a writer is most clear at this point。 This book is inspiring and heart-breaking, whimsical and devastatingly dark; and a magnificent continuation of a consistently brilliant series。 Whenever I finish reading it, I can't help but mourn that it's over。 。。。more

This is like my 4th time trying to get through the series but I can't seem to get past this book。 I get bored about halfway through and call it a day。 The last run-through I picked up another book entirely and eventually fell out of love with reading。 I'm hoping to get back into it so until then, this will remain at 2 stars for the sole purpose of I found it boring。In terms of the story itself, I love the wizarding world。 I love all things Harry Potter, I just think I was in a bit of a reading f This is like my 4th time trying to get through the series but I can't seem to get past this book。 I get bored about halfway through and call it a day。 The last run-through I picked up another book entirely and eventually fell out of love with reading。 I'm hoping to get back into it so until then, this will remain at 2 stars for the sole purpose of I found it boring。In terms of the story itself, I love the wizarding world。 I love all things Harry Potter, I just think I was in a bit of a reading funk when reading this。 As I only ever get about a third of the way through, I don't actually know anything in regards to the tournaments, but having read the first 3 books, I can say that the level of detail used in each one is of high enough quality that my imagination can fill in the rest without it feeling like there's something missing。Will return to this book one day。 。。。more

Best in the series。 Packed with suspense and surprises。a little bit boring about a drop。 But the rest is totally awesome。 I would highly recommend it to kids。 The plot is excellent。 I don't want to spoil it but it has very interesting new characters。 J。K Rowling sure knows how to surprise us。 Even surprise is not enough it is more like mega surprise。 Best in the series。 Packed with suspense and surprises。a little bit boring about a drop。 But the rest is totally awesome。 I would highly recommend it to kids。 The plot is excellent。 I don't want to spoil it but it has very interesting new characters。 J。K Rowling sure knows how to surprise us。 Even surprise is not enough it is more like mega surprise。 。。。more

This is one of my favourite books in the series。 Harry Potter wants to find out what the mystery event is that is going to happen in Harry’s 4th year。 He finds out that the Triwizard tournament is happening! This tournament consists of 3 challenges and 3 champions from each of the magical school, Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbaton。 Victor Krum from Durmstrang, Fleur Delacour from Beauzbaton, and Cedric Diggory from Hogwarts。 But, someone had put Harry’s name in the cup which you use to enter! this could be the best in the series (so far) but really could use some editing。 the house elves are just annoying and this book could easily have been under 700 pages。

Sara

I love the plot twists in this book!

Blaine Knutson

I think this is the one where it starts to get a little darker but yes I have read it it has been a while。

Konnor Ward

This book was really good, I am definitely going to read the 5th book because the plot twist at the end of this one was really good, I was kinda on to the bad guy and that he was just disguising as one of the professors but I wasnt 100% sure。

Otra vez maravilloso ;)

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Now I was FULLY prepared to give this one 3 stars。 It has always been my least favorite because it is so long, the first 500 pages feel like exposition and it doesn’t seem to fit into the series as well as the others。 But damn! It really does ramp you up for the last three books。 Some things are becoming clearer, while others more confusing。 Characters are seeing some development—Harry, Dumbledore, Sirius, Snape…even Fawk Now I was FULLY prepared to give this one 3 stars。 It has always been my least favorite because it is so long, the first 500 pages feel like exposition and it doesn’t seem to fit into the series as well as the others。 But damn! Good but not more than expected。 The length of the book gives long fun not more fun。 The worldbuilding has kind of come to saturation in the series by the end of the book。 There are a few dips in the story and boring parts at the same time it has some really graet long scenes and monologues。The length of the book should've been used to the advantage of the story。 Maybe it is in Order of Pheonix。 Gonna take a break before starting the next book (longest in the series)。 Good but not more than expected。 The length of the book gives long fun not more fun。 The worldbuilding has kind of come to saturation in the series by the end of the book。 There are a few dips in the story and boring parts at the same time it has some really graet long scenes and monologues。The length of the book should've been used to the advantage of the story。 Maybe it is in Order of Pheonix。 Gonna take a break before starting the next book (longest in the series)。 。。。more
