Sarah Pinborough is becoming one of my favorite suspense authors! I am binge reading her books right now! This one started a little slow but once it got rolling it was hard to put down, and as usual the end was a mind blower! Did NOT see that coming AT ALL! I love a book who’s ending does not disappoint and this did not disappoint!!

Sarah Pinborough knows how to write a good twist。 Just when you think you've figured the characters out, or the plot line is ending there is another turn。 I enjoyed this read, not as much as Behind Her Eyes, but it was still good enough to have me start another Pinborough book when I finished。 Sarah Pinborough knows how to write a good twist。 Just when you think you've figured the characters out, or the plot line is ending there is another turn。 I enjoyed this read, not as much as Behind Her Eyes, but it was still good enough to have me start another Pinborough book when I finished。 。。。more

Good readI really enjoyed the mystery and thrill of this book! Two, young, second wives of very rich men。 Oh what a tangled web we weave, once we start to deceive!!

Ehh, sure。 But not as crazy as Behind Her Eyes。 。。。more

Worst book I've read so far! (And that's saying a lot。)La verdad es que yo he leído muchas cosas que podrían ser consideradas literatura basura。 Pero este libro es peor que todo lo cliché, aburrido que he leído。Qué vaina tan mala e innecesariamente larga! Creo que nunca me había costado tanto terminar un libro。 Worst book I've read so far! Multiple disturbed and deceptive characters motivated by greed, lust, and murder。 Twists and turns, but difficult to get through。 It’s a relief to be done。 I don’t enjoy smut romance either。 Just not my thing although some may enjoy more than I did。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book did not disappoint。 Nothing like trying to fit in with high southern society and then putting them in their place。 This book had twists and turns and someone getting revenge for another and there was another last minute twist at the end。 I would love a little novella or sequel for this one。 I hid this review because of things that could be considered possible spoilers。

I love Behind Her Eyes so desperately。 Giving this rating to a book by the same author hurts me。

This was my first book of Sarah Pinborough, I found her through the Netflix adaption of "Behind her Eyes"。 I really really liked it and enjoyed the occult touch it had at times, although I must say that I liked the first half of the book the most。 Despite many people seeming not to like the characters I really grew to like Marcie somehow! Predictable。 Marcie Maddox and Keisha Radford are the second wives of wealthy men living in Savannah, GA。 Marcie and Jason seem happily married, but Marcie starts to suspect him of having an affair。 Keisha wants William, an old man to die so she can get her hands on his fortune。 Both Marcie and Keisha have secrets buried in their past。 Marcie’s first husband died, Keisha believes she is cursed and also believes in voodoo。 Jason’s father had a criminal issue, and now, Jason seems to be in trouble Predictable。 Marcie Maddox and Keisha Radford are the second wives of wealthy men living in Savannah, GA。 Marcie and Jason seem happily married, but Marcie starts to suspect him of having an affair。 Keisha wants William, an old man to die so she can get her hands on his fortune。 Both Marcie and Keisha have secrets buried in their past。 Marcie’s first husband died, Keisha believes she is cursed and also believes in voodoo。 Jason’s father had a criminal issue, and now, Jason seems to be in trouble。 This book has a lot of sex, so if you aren’t interested in reading that, avoid this book。 There was a weird drug enhanced orgy scene, and traces of voodoo throughout the book。 The conclusion of the book was completely predictable。 。。。more

DNF100 pages of weird angst filled foreshadowing with no action。

So it's really a 3。5 because it held my interest and I enjoyed it。 Is it the most clever plot? Would I reread it? Probably not but it was a fun ride。 A good beach read maybe。 So it's really a 3。5 because it held my interest and I enjoyed it。 Is it the most clever plot? Would I reread it? First thing: I liked the twist and the ending。 However, this book was a slog to get through。 I feel like Sarah needed more foreshadowing and more reveals part way through the book to keep us going。 It felt like a 300 + book with a 10 page reveal。 I just felt she repeated the same old stuff for the first 200 + pages and it didn’t help the book。 But。 I think this would make a good series like they did with Behind Her Eyes。 Overall I’m just a bit disappointed, but I didn’t hate the reveal or ending First thing: I liked the twist and the ending。 However, this book was a slog to get through。 I feel like Sarah needed more foreshadowing and more reveals part way through the book to keep us going。 It felt like a 300 + book with a 10 page reveal。 I just felt she repeated the same old stuff for the first 200 + pages and it didn’t help the book。 But。 I think this would make a good series like they did with Behind Her Eyes。 Overall I’m just a bit disappointed, but I didn’t hate the reveal or ending like most do。 。。。more

What an awesome book, kept me on my toes。 I loved the crazy, mixed up relationships with all of the characters in the very Southern town and the voodoo characteristics in the story。

Entertaining。 Excellent twist at the end。

What just happened there?Dead to Her was filled with twists and turns which made me gasp and scream, "What?"Marcie's marriage to Jason has popped her into the centre of Georgia's elite。 Being the young new, shiny wife is a label she relishes in。 So, when Jason's boss marries the sensational, young Keisha, Marcie can't help but be jealous and worried about her position her social circle and marriage。 There were so many thrilling surprises and tantalizing twists in this book。 A definite must read! Before I cancelled my Audible subscription, I needed to use up several credits -- Dead to Her was one of my picks。 I'm kind of regretting that。 Dead to Her had a lot of elements I typically enjoy。 The Savannah setting was as perfect as could be, and the audio narrator was spectacular。 The plot was just。。。。weird。 Too much going on, and there were so many tangential scenes that I kept thinking I missed something。 The detailed sex scenes kind of grossed me out, too。 There were no characters that I Before I cancelled my Audible subscription, I needed to use up several credits -- Dead to Her was one of my picks。 I'm kind of regretting that。 Dead to Her had a lot of elements I typically enjoy。 The Savannah setting was as perfect as could be, and the audio narrator was spectacular。 The plot was just。。。。weird。 Too much going on, and there were so many tangential scenes that I kept thinking I missed something。 The detailed sex scenes kind of grossed me out, too。 There were no characters that I felt connected to, or even remotely cared about。 Reading to the end was worth it, though。 The ending did surprise me for the most part, and it felt aligned to the rest of this strange book。 。。。more

This book started out like more of a romance, but by the middle it was clear there were quite a few secrets and mysteries to be revealed。 Not my normal pick, but sent to me from a book club and it turned out to be worth it!
