I knew only some of the story of Esther, I new it was a powerful time for her and what she did for the Jews。 I learned more and found the information to be uplifting, she was able to face her fears and do what she needed to do。 It was definitely her moment。 The way our world is now, we need to find the courage to face our moments and do what the lord would want us to do, with him by our side。 God will get us through these tough times as long as we continue to pray and stand up for what we believ I knew only some of the story of Esther, I new it was a powerful time for her and what she did for the Jews。 I learned more and found the information to be uplifting, she was able to face her fears and do what she needed to do。 It was definitely her moment。 The way our world is now, we need to find the courage to face our moments and do what the lord would want us to do, with him by our side。 God will get us through these tough times as long as we continue to pray and stand up for what we believe in。 。。。more

This book came to me right when I needed some reminding of how God is present even if it doesn’t feel like it。 Max’s choice of Esther’s story is just perfect。 Though I read majority of the Bible and heard countless times the “popular” character stories, I haven’t heard or read of Esther。 Or maybe I have but it didn’t stick with me。 But through this book, Esther has made such an impact to me that I will never forget her and her inspiring story of faith。 I really hope this book reaches the hands a This book came to me right when I needed some reminding of how God is present even if it doesn’t feel like it。 Max’s choice of Esther’s story is just perfect。 Though I read majority of the Bible and heard countless times the “popular” character stories, I haven’t heard or read of Esther。 Or maybe I have but it didn’t stick with me。 But through this book, Esther has made such an impact to me that I will never forget her and her inspiring story of faith。 I really hope this book reaches the hands and hearts of those who need it like it did mine。 。。。more

What an amazing new book from Max! So grateful for this teaching on the book of Esther woven with modern day storytelling and more。 I listened on audio, and Ben Holland did great as usual too。

Another great book from Max Lucado。 Always at the right time。 Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book。 While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it。

A classic Max Lucado book, offering the hope we need, especially suitable for these seemingly out of control times。 Lucado uses the book of Esther to demonstrate that as for Esther, God will send relief for us, in whatever situation we find ourselves。

In the book You Were Made For This Moment, author and pastor Max Lucado, writes about the weariness of the struggles and stresses of life。 Lucado writes almost a devotional/commentary on the book of Esther。 Esther and her adopted father Mordecai came to a point that they had to make a stand for God and bring deliverance to the Jewish people or perish along with the Jewish people in exile living in Persia。Lucado brought out some thought provoking things in this book that I had not thought of。 Whi In the book You Were Made For This Moment, author and pastor Max Lucado, writes about the weariness of the struggles and stresses of life。 Lucado writes almost a devotional/commentary on the book of Esther。 Esther and her adopted father Mordecai came to a point that they had to make a stand for God and bring deliverance to the Jewish people or perish along with the Jewish people in exile living in Persia。Lucado brought out some thought provoking things in this book that I had not thought of。 While this is a bit different writing style for Lucado, I thought it was good and made me think! Once again Max Lucado doesn't disappoint。 Just love the way this man tells a story。。 He keeps it simple and so it's easily digestible。 Love the play on words as well。 The topic is important。 It's serious stuff。 And yet, so many times I just had to smile, cause of how he's styled the story。 I read this in one sitting, about an hour, but to get the most out of it, it will require I go back and go through the concepts just a little slower。 The story of Ester is both encouraging and brutal。 Max help Once again Max Lucado doesn't disappoint。 Just love the way this man tells a story。。 He keeps it simple and so it's easily digestible。 Love the play on words as well。 The topic is important。 It's serious stuff。 And yet, so many times I just had to smile, cause of how he's styled the story。 I read this in one sitting, about an hour, but to get the most out of it, it will require I go back and go through the concepts just a little slower。 The story of Ester is both encouraging and brutal。 Max helps us see that while there was a time when both Ester and Mordecai kept their identity hidden, there came a time when there was a need to step up。 They were made for that moment。 The message I got out of it is that as the body of Christ, each one of us is here; in this time and place, because that's where we're supposed to be。 So when we cry out asking God to do something we need to remember he created us and so we need to look to ourselves。 There are many things in our hands。 Perhaps we're meant to be the ones doing something? There are questions for reflection at the back of the book to encourage introspection of the material read and the development of a deeper understanding。I will definitely revisit this book and highly recommend it to others。 It’s a wonderful, digestible, easy- read。With thanks to #NetGalley, Thoma Nelson and the author for my free advanced reader copy to review in exchange for an honest opinion。 。。。more

Once again, Max reminds of us of the hope, power, and provision of Christ。 Max explores the story of Esther to assist readers in gaining a better understanding our role in Gods story and our need to trust and rely on God for our hope rather than our situations。 While the story of Esther includes many complicated names and a complex history, Max makes it easily digestible while still being an in depth exploration。

Whenever I’m in need of inspiration in my spiritual life and journey, I reach for a book by Max Lucado。 In You Were Made for This Moment, Max Lucado reminds us that God is along with us on this journey especially during difficult, challenging times。 Through the Biblical story of Esther, Lucado reminds us that we, like Esther, were made for this moment and time in our lives。

4。5 stars for this latest book from Max Lucado。 This book uses the Biblical story of Esther as a guide for working through your own "winter season"。 This was a timely read as I feel as though I am in such a season。 I enjoyed the Biblical teaching, which brought out elements of the book of Esther I was previously unaware of, even though I've read a great deal about Esther。 I also enjoyed the related personal modern-day stories and the take-aways in each chapter。 I can always count on Max Lucado f 4。5 stars for this latest book from Max Lucado。 This book uses the Biblical story of Esther as a guide for working through your own "winter season"。 This was a timely read as I feel as though I am in such a season。 I enjoyed the Biblical teaching, which brought out elements of the book of Esther I was previously unaware of, even though I've read a great deal about Esther。 I also enjoyed the related personal modern-day stories and the take-aways in each chapter。 I can always count on Max Lucado for a good non-fiction read that speaks to me where I am。 While this one was not my favorite of his, it still was up to par with what I expect from Mr。 Lucado and is definitely worth the read!
