Summary

Stephanie Plum returns to hunt down a master cyber-criminal operating out of Trenton in the 28th book in the wildly popular series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich。

When Stephanie Plum is woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of footsteps in her apartment， she wishes she didn’t keep her gun in the cookie jar in her kitchen。 And when she finds out the intruder is fellow apprehension agent Diesel， six feet of hard muscle and bad attitude whom she hasn’t seen in more than two years， she still thinks the gun might come in handy。

Janet did it again！ A fabulous job！I had to give this a five star rating because it was great like always。 The plot was right on。 The addition of Melvin and Charlie Q was a brilliant idea！ Joe and Ranger are always yummy。 So altogether this was another explosive story！

DNF。 I used to enjoy these books， so I don't know if I've just grown out of them or they haven't aged well， but the constant sexism was so obnoxious I couldn't get through it。 In particular， there's a mystery woman - everyone is so obsessed with deeming her hot or not， they ignore the obvious answer to who she probably is （which I assume is meant to be a shocking big reveal， because it's a role less common for women， but is so obvious that you just feel like Stephanie， Morelli， etc。 are clearly DNF。 I used to enjoy these books， so I don't know if I've just grown out of them or they haven't aged well， but the constant sexism was so obnoxious I couldn't get through it。 In particular， there's a mystery woman - everyone is so obsessed with deeming her hot or not， they ignore the obvious answer to who she probably is （which I assume is meant to be a shocking big reveal， because it's a role less common for women， but is so obvious that you just feel like Stephanie， Morelli， etc。 are clearly just idiots）。 。。。more

This is one of the better Stephanie Plum books of recent years。 There is far less focus on her romantic entanglements （although all three of her hot men make an appearance） and far more focus on the case。 This book is funny in a way that is true to Stephanie Plum books but it is not outlandish。 I will even go so far as to say that we see some character development in some of the side characters。 As per usual for this series， it is a fun， funny， fluffy read that is thoroughly enjoyable。

I look forward to visiting the world of Stephanie Plum and her crazy antics， but from the start， this one was off。 Maybe it’s me， but I’m tired of the Joe and marriage situation。 Every book talks about how neither one wants to get married。 Fine， then stop mentioning it over and over。 Another major issue I have is timeline。 The beginning of this series was written in 1994 but over the series it’s like she never moves forward or learns。 She has no goals except to pay rent。 At some point， this just I look forward to visiting the world of Stephanie Plum and her crazy antics， but from the start， this one was off。 Maybe it’s me， but I’m tired of the Joe and marriage situation。 Every book talks about how neither one wants to get married。 Fine， then stop mentioning it over and over。 Another major issue I have is timeline。 The beginning of this series was written in 1994 but over the series it’s like she never moves forward or learns。 She has no goals except to pay rent。 At some point， this just becomes sad。 I don’t think she’s really improved as a bounty hunter or in any area of her life。 This has been an entertaining series， not this book per se， but you can still have character growth in a story and be humorous。 I read 60% and gave up。 If I cannot finish a book， it’s one star for me。 Wish I could give a better review， but then it wouldn’t be this book。 。。。more

It was true Evanovich。 It was laugh- out- loud funny， all the best characters and a familiar escape。 I always look forward to another installment and never get tired， it is always a much needed present。
