The science behind it, explained very simple and factual, worth the entire read。

I liked this book very much。 Dr。 Joe Dispenza writes about how meditation can rewire your brain。 This book was very interesting and understandable。

This book is metaphysical hooey。 This is The Secret dressed up in a lab coat, holding a clipboard, and wearing goggles。

Wow book for me, opened my mind even more and showed me a whole different perspective on life, on all its levels。A must-read for those who want to take the leap into the unseen and start creating and recreating their lives。 Awesome!

It's a good book but science and true biblical will never go together。 I don't believe the universe can orchestrate anything。 God is the ruler of all things and to believe that the universe can deliver requests that you ask, does not sit well with me。 Glory goes to God and ONLY God。 I don't believe in manifestation because it takes the praise and glory away from God who deserves glorification for all。 I get that everyone is not heavily into God and believes what they choose。 I have no issues wit It's a good book but science and true biblical will never go together。 I don't believe the universe can orchestrate anything。 God is the ruler of all things and to believe that the universe can deliver requests that you ask, does not sit well with me。 Glory goes to God and ONLY God。 I don't believe in manifestation because it takes the praise and glory away from God who deserves glorification for all。 I get that everyone is not heavily into God and believes what they choose。 I have no issues with that。 For me, it takes away glorification from our Heavenly Father and Jesus。 Manifesting is asking the Universe to deliver。 Praying is asking God to deliver and giving Him the highest praise for it。 Again, the book, on a scientific level is well written and Mr。 Dispenza is highly intelligent。 This just isn't a book for me。 I read all books with an open mind but sometimes some books aren't right for me。 I have to say this, I learned quite a bit about quantum physics that was fascinating。 I am a learner of all things。 Thanks for taking the time to write this book。 It was informative, to say the least。 。。。more

This book is divided into three parts: unbelievable quantum physics anecdotes, insights on psychology and habits, and a four week guided meditation program。 The first part was trying, the second part was fine, and the third part sounds interesting but I'm reluctant to review it for the same reason I wouldn't review an exercise video I watched without following along。 I can say there's some good ideas in here, maybe some great ones, but the editing could be improved。 Three stars because there mig This book is divided into three parts: unbelievable quantum physics anecdotes, insights on psychology and habits, and a four week guided meditation program。 The first part was trying, the second part was fine, and the third part sounds interesting but I'm reluctant to review it for the same reason I wouldn't review an exercise video I watched without following along。 I can say there's some good ideas in here, maybe some great ones, but the editing could be improved。 Three stars because there might be good stuff in here, but it's a little tough to read。 。。。more

I am interested in holistic healing, energy medicine and the implications of quantum physics。 I was very interested in what this book might add to my understanding of these topics。The first chapter sites one of the few scientific studies referenced in the book (a bulk of the references are Joe Dispenza's other publications)。 What Joe Dispenza ether does not know or chose to ignore is that the scientific paper Leibovici, Leonard, M。D。, “Effects of remote, retroactive intercessory prayer on outcom I am interested in holistic healing, energy medicine and the implications of quantum physics。 I was very interested in what this book might add to my understanding of these topics。The first chapter sites one of the few scientific studies referenced in the book (a bulk of the references are Joe Dispenza's other publications)。 What Joe Dispenza ether does not know or chose to ignore is that the scientific paper Leibovici, Leonard, M。D。, “Effects of remote, retroactive intercessory prayer on outcomes in patients with bloodstream infection: randomised controlled trial”, published in The British Medical Journal, vol。 323: 1450–1451 (22 December 2001), IS A JOKE STUDY。 BMJ has had a tradition of publishing sham articles in their Christmas edition and this is one of them。 I suggest anyone reading Joe Dispenza do a Google search on the Leibovici article。Meditation and self-awareness most certainly aid in the attainment and maintenance of health, but this author does not merit the authority that the public has assigned him。 He is cashing in on known concepts and common sense (Practice self-awareness。 Take as much responsibility for your health as your resources allow you to) by disseminating misinformation。When looking for someone to guide you in a healing process, try to choose someone who has not built an empire as a guru。 Humility, honesty, integrity and rigour are essential components of leadership in any field, especially when it comes to assisting people in their recovery from illness。 There is little evidence of any of those values in this publication。 。。。more

The book is mostly pseudo science not backed by any real scientists。 He is a Dr。 in a completely different field and has no idea what he is talking about。 Don't buy this。 The book is mostly pseudo science not backed by any real scientists。 He is a Dr。 in a completely different field and has no idea what he is talking about。 Don't buy this。 。。。more

I was very engaged with this book for about 40% of it but then it started to drag a bit and I had to push through the last part。 Still worth reading because it has a lot of good tips on how to overcome habitual setbacks that we all encounter。

1。 Pretentious 2。 Quite literally describes the body’s trauma response。。。and then lost me by saying you’re doing that to yourself。 Sigh。 And 3。 Tells you can think away genetic diseases。 I’m out

This is an amazing book。 What I like about it most is that as an Inquirer I tend to question everything and Dr Joe explains with detail how simple techniques and even behaviour works in our body and mind by giving scientific explanations to it making it more understanding for people like me that needs to have that level of detail。 Makes total sense of everything in an easy understandable language。 Very worth reading

This book is more than amazing! I used to listen to Dr Joe lectures on Youtube and I have been following him for over a year now。 Therefore, I gotta say this book has collected almost everything of the meditation and "Breaking the Habit of Self" concept in one document。 I love his meditation and the concept of losing the self, being no one and becoming free from everything。 Mind rehearsal is so critical。 I tried this thing with music and it is true。 Once you feel hesitant and worried bout the pe This book is more than amazing! The author seems to be fond of loops as the entire book goes over and over the same wording, changing some minor elements。 For a book that has that much advertisement by well-known life coaches it was absolutely disappointing。

The anecdotes in this book make it seem like any person can manifest anything into their life - a privileged and false statement。 Although the meditation technique seems useful, it is a 20-40min/ day commitment。 I like how this book makes me try to think about who I want to be and train my brain to live out those qualities。

Tegan Martin

If you take it with a massive pinch of salt then yes apply this to your life。A friend gave me her well annotated copy of this book when I was in a massive slump and at a new low。 By applying some of the methods to my everyday life I can say I am much better than before。

3。5 stars。 Deserved to be rounded up for the inspiring ideas at the beginning of the book。I liked first 2/3rds of the book。 Full of great ideas。 It was uplifting and inspired me to work on myself even more。 Unfortunately, the last third of the book was a bit of a mumbo jumbo。 Also it was hard to read sometimes and my mind would drift away。 I believe in improving yourself and changing the mindset but the whole thing of chants and meditating for an hour or more every day seemed a bit much。 I'd rat 3。5 stars。 Deserved to be rounded up for the inspiring ideas at the beginning of the book。I liked first 2/3rds of the book。 Full of great ideas。 It was uplifting and inspired me to work on myself even more。 Unfortunately, the last third of the book was a bit of a mumbo jumbo。 Also it was hard to read sometimes and my mind would drift away。 I believe in improving yourself and changing the mindset but the whole thing of chants and meditating for an hour or more every day seemed a bit much。 I'd rather work more on the scientific psychology side。 。。。more

This book contains beginner level information for learning to manage one's mind。 It uses excessive words, diagrams, and ideas to explain simple concepts。 If this was my introduction to mind management, I doubt it would have impacted my life。 Some of his examples are unnecessarily mystical。 A simpler way to say the most helpful concepts in the book is what Brooke Castillo taught me through her podcast: in any circumstance, we can choose our thoughts, which determine our feelings, which will affec This book contains beginner level information for learning to manage one's mind。 It uses excessive words, diagrams, and ideas to explain simple concepts。 If this was my introduction to mind management, I doubt it would have impacted my life。 Some of his examples are unnecessarily mystical。 A simpler way to say the most helpful concepts in the book is what Brooke Castillo taught me through her podcast: in any circumstance, we can choose our thoughts, which determine our feelings, which will affect the actions we choose, which will lead to our results。 So, if we change our thoughts we ultimately change our lives。The thing I like best about this book is the clear truth that we can change。 I also like that it is future-focused。 Instead of dwelling on who we've been, we can change our minds to become who we want to be。 We can take responsibility for our minds and improve our attitudes and outlook。A large portion of this book discusses meditation practices。 I have nothing against them。 I use some meditative techniques to get to sleep and get back to asleep。 Other things I do and ways that I think could be considered meditative。 I pray and some of his processes are more like prayer than anything。 I just don't connect with his particular meditation techniques。 The water one in particular would absolutely not work for me。 I've had reoccurring nightmares related to impending water-related doom。 Meditation is powerful and personal。 There are many approaches to it。 It's important to find techniques that connect to the individual。 This author's methods don't work for me。The author does try to have something for everyone when it comes to spirituality。 In fact, he has all kinds of substitute words and ideas for who some call God: "innate intelligence, chi, divine mind, spirit, the quantum, the life force, infinite mind, the observer, universal intelligence, the quantum field, invisible power, mother-father life, cosmic energy or higher power。" He seems to say the concept of God is outdated。 He says God:"Has been shrunk to the likeness of an insecure man, completely self-absorbed, steeped in the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong, positive and negative, success and failure, love and hate, heaven and hell, pain and pleasure, and fear and more fear。 This traditional model must be addressed, because one must enter this consciousness with a new consciousness。"But that's just it: I'm a little troubled by the idea of writing God out of the equation-- making Him unnecessary but substituting other godlike powers。 Perhaps the author is trying to help more people who have all different kinds of beliefs or no belief other than belief in themselves or belief in science。 Even so, to me as a believer of truth from whatever its source and also a believer in a loving, compassionate, all-powerful, all-knowing God (who guards our ability to act and choose for ourselves, even if we choose wrong) the alternatives seem poor substitutes。 But, like I said, I think the author is saying believe whatever you want, his methods still work。Anyway, I like how the author talks about energy。 He says emotion is "energy in motion。" I also like how he advocates envisioning the future and believing it can be a reality。 I realized this is a form of spiritual creation。 My faith teaches that all things were created spiritually before they were created physically。 There is real truth and power there。 I think these ideas are great as long as they're accompanied by actions that help make the beliefs happen。As usual, I'll take the helpful and true ideas from this book and leave the rest。 I don't think I'd recommend this book because its sometimes wordy, unhelpful, and strange, but it did get me thinking。 It also confirmed some ideas I've learned from preferred sources。 。。。more

Good ideas, and probably a useful mental model for some, but I've learned nothing new here。 Also, the "science" is extremely pseudo-scientific, even when there are references to, so-called, studies。 Good ideas, and probably a useful mental model for some, but I've learned nothing new here。 Also, the "science" is extremely pseudo-scientific, even when there are references to, so-called, studies。 。。。more

Interesting information how thoughts affect our doing and well-being。 I listened to this as an audio book and I have to admit, the book wasn't so interesting that I would have listened to it carefully through。 At some point, I got me super excited to start meditating and for that there are many useful tips and exercises in this book。 In general, I think the scientific base was not that solid and there was a lot of repetition in this book。 Interesting information how thoughts affect our doing and well-being。 I listened to this as an audio book and I have to admit, the book wasn't so interesting that I would have listened to it carefully through。 At some point, I got me super excited to start meditating and for that there are many useful tips and exercises in this book。 In general, I think the scientific base was not that solid and there was a lot of repetition in this book。 。。。more
