Some of the recipes are good, but many are awful。 The vegetable stock they advise is just a tomato soup in disguise。。。 It ruins all the otherwise acceptable veggie stock; it ruins it with tomato puree。Who the hell does this? Yuck。 To add 'umami' flavour to it? That seems to be the explanation。 It's pointless as the recipe already includes simmering shiitake mushrooms, which are rich source of umami。 If you need more 'umami' to it, either sprinkle with MSG, or just make some quick kombu dashi in Some of the recipes are good, but many are awful。 The vegetable stock they advise is just a tomato soup in disguise。。。 It ruins all the otherwise acceptable veggie stock; it ruins it with tomato puree。Who the hell does this? This is the third Wagamama cookbook that I've read, and the deliciousness of the recipes (of which there are 70+ of them here, many with photos) continues。 (I have reviews for the other two, too, here at GR。) Foods that are fast or slow, particular favorites, and sometimes they are vegetarian。Some dishes are easy-ish to turn vegetarian, and one section is just vegetarian dishes。 Other sections are bowls, favorites, ramen, side foods, sauce & marinades, plus a few from-scratch recipes。 A few drin This is the third Wagamama cookbook that I've read, and the deliciousness of the recipes (of which there are 70+ of them here, many with photos) continues。 (I have reviews for the other two, too, here at GR。) Foods that are fast or slow, particular favorites, and sometimes they are vegetarian。Some dishes are easy-ish to turn vegetarian, and one section is just vegetarian dishes。 Other sections are bowls, favorites, ramen, side foods, sauce & marinades, plus a few from-scratch recipes。 A few drinks are in the vegetarian section at the end。 Included besides the recipes are also a shopping list, swap list for some ingredients, talk on skills and some equipment。Vegetarian/vegan recipes are marked。 The dishes are generally for two, but can be expanded (or made for one) easily。 Each recipe comes with a short intro, and some have tips at the end。 Although I'm a picky person, I still found plenty of great recipes here (doesn't include seafood ones since I don't really eat them:Shiitake mushroom donburi, Harusame salad, Okonomiyaki, Surendra's curry, Chicken katsu curry, Teriyaki chicken donburi, Tonkatsu, Coconut porridge, Bang-bang cauliflower, Stir-fried king oyster mushrooms, Warm chili tofu salad, Yasai itame, Kare burosu, Yasai samla curry, Mushroom ramen, Shirodashi ramen, Chicken + Yasai gyozas, Chicken summer rolls, Mixed mushroom & panko aubergine + Sticky duck hirata buns (also known as baos)。So once again, plenty of delicious recipes that aren't too hard to learn and make, another great Wagamama cookbook。 (By the way, I really really would like to visit a Wagamama restaurant again; if only there was one Finland! *sigh* 。。。more

A brilliant, up to date version of one of the best ever cookbooks。 Easy to follow instructions and accompanied by great photos。Most of the recipes included in this book are still on the current menu at Wagamama and some are my all time favourites。 So this was a must have for my collection。
