I love this book for the same reason I love Bullshit by John Grant， they both teach the reader about the importance of argumentation and how to identify a Bad Argument or as Grant puts it: “Bullshit”The book in a short 44 pages touches on every main logical fallacy that you would learn in a university level Logic course （ at least the one I took） and gives enough examples and some very well drawn illustrations to make you more apt to identify when someone is using flawed logic in their beliefs o I love this book for the same reason I love Bullshit by John Grant， they both teach the reader about the importance of argumentation and how to identify a Bad Argument or as Grant puts it: “Bullshit”The book in a short 44 pages touches on every main logical fallacy that you would learn in a university level Logic course （ at least the one I took） and gives enough examples and some very well drawn illustrations to make you more apt to identify when someone is using flawed logic in their beliefs or argument。 I highly recommend this book to everyone because， as Richard Feynman put it “the first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool。”*Though I do recommend that everyone buys this book to help support Ali Almossawi for what he’s done， I understand if you don’t have the means to purchase it right now but still want the information so that you can start applying it to your life and therefore I have attached a free copy of the book for your learning pleasure。 Enjoy （: https://bookofbadarguments。com/？view=。。。 。。。more

- This is a nice short summary of different types of Bad Arguments。 - It is a good read for people who *do not* like the concepts/ideas hidden in long stories as is the norm in many books（self help in particular）。- I didnt find much new in the book， but atleastnow i have designated names for the different types of bad arguments。 - The definitions presented in the end came in quite handy and perhaps would have been better if they are presented before the contents。PS: I liked most of the illustrat - This is a nice short summary of different types of Bad Arguments。 - It is a good read for people who *do not* like the concepts/ideas hidden in long stories as is the norm in many books（self help in particular）。- I didnt find much new in the book， but atleastnow i have designated names for the different types of bad arguments。 - The definitions presented in the end came in quite handy and perhaps would have been better if they are presented before the contents。PS: I liked most of the illustrations presented in the book。 。。。more

Scroll down for the review in Arabic This book is amazing as an introduction to logical fallacies， which I think is very important to read about and when you read these logical fallacies in the book you will find a lot of them that people do everyday on the internet and in debates。 Learning about logical fallacies also helped me think about stuff in a better way and helped me avoid logical fallacies。 I like how the book explained the most common logical fallacies in a very simple way and only in Scroll down for the review in Arabic This book is amazing as an introduction to logical fallacies， which I think is very important to read about and when you read these logical fallacies in the book you will find a lot of them that people do everyday on the internet and in debates。 Learning about logical fallacies also helped me think about stuff in a better way and helped me avoid logical fallacies。 I like how the book explained the most common logical fallacies in a very simple way and only in one page。 Also the drawings were good and helped making the fallacies more simple to understand。 I recommend reading this book for any beginner in the field of reasoning and logical fallacies。 I was reading the English version and comparing it with the Arabic one and I want to say that the Arabic translation is horrible。 It deleted a lot of lines and translated a lot of words wrongly and also some pages are missing in the Arabic version。الكتاب كويس جداً كمقدمة عن المغالطات المنطقية و من رأيي مهم جداً ان كل الناس تقرأ عن المغالطات المنطقية و لما تقرأ المغالطات اللي في الكتاب دي هتلاقي ان كلها او معظمها بيحصل في حياتنا اليومية علي النت او في المناظرات علي التليفزيون。 القراءة عن المغالطات المنطقية ساعدتني افكر بمنطقية اكتر و بطريقة مختلفة في مواضيع كتير و اتجنب المغالطات المنطقية في تفكيري او و انا بسمع حد بيتكلم و بيثبت حاجة。 عجبني ان الكتاب شرح المغالطات المنطقية الاكثر شيوعاً بطريقة بسيطة جداً و كل مغالطة مشروحة في صفحة واحدة بس و صفحة تانية فيها رسومات تعبر عن المغالطة。 الرسومات كمان كانت حلوة و بتسهل الفكرة بتاعة المغالطة و تدي نبذة عنها。 انا بقترح الكتاب ده لأي مبتدأ في مجال المنطق و المغالطات المنطقية。 و في النهاية حابة اذكر حاجة، انا كنت بقرأ الكتاب من النسخة المكتوبة بالانجليزي و بعدين كنت بقارنها مع النسخة العربية و خدت بالي ان الترجمة العربية للكتاب ده سيئة جداً، في جمل كتير متشالة و صفحات متشالة و كلمات مترجمة غلط كأن المترجم ترجمها من Google translate و كمان المترجم مزود أبيات شعرية و أمثلة من عنده ف انصح اللي هيقرأ الكتاب انه يقرأه بالانجليزي و لو كلمة وقفت معاه يترجمها او يفتح النسخة العربي كمساعد مع النسخة الانجليزي لكن محدش يعتمد علي النسخة العربية。 。。。more

This book is a pretty good introduction to some of the common logical fallacies an individual will encounter daily or are prone to make during conversations and speeches 👍 Some fallacies went over my head （such as False Dilemma， Not a Cause for a Cause and Affirming the Consequent）， as the description and examples weren’t easy to digest 😅 I may need to reread this book sometime or peruse other books that discuss logical fallacies comprehensively so I can detect errors in arguments better 🤓🧠
