Algo repetitivo, pero bueno。

Didn’t think this book could come anywhere close to the greatness of the first book but I was definetely wrong。 Zannah is such an interesting and driven character and her dynamic with Bane is a classic Sith dynamic of mutual benefit。 The story here is great and the climax and ending were especially gripping。 Once you start to read it’s so hard to put this book down。 The only thing I would say I didn’t like is how short this book is。 It skips 10 years of an apprentice training with her master and Didn’t think this book could come anywhere close to the greatness of the first book but I was definetely wrong。 Zannah is such an interesting and driven character and her dynamic with Bane is a classic Sith dynamic of mutual benefit。 The story here is great and the climax and ending were especially gripping。 Once you start to read it’s so hard to put this book down。 The only thing I would say I didn’t like is how short this book is。 It skips 10 years of an apprentice training with her master and missing their initial relationship develop was slightly disappointing。 But if the only complaint I have about a book is that there isn’t enough of it, I don’t think that’s a bad problem to have。 Immediately starting the next book after posting this review。 4。8 out of 5 stars。 amazing book(rounded up to 5) 。。。more

Machinations of TwoThis is the second book in the Darth Bane trilogy。 It picks up after the events of the first book。 Young Zannah learns more of the dark side and Bane is infected and strengthened by parasitic organisms。 A web of intrigue is spun and some Jedi learn too late that the Sith are not dead。 A number of foolish people underestimate the Sith duo and pay the price。 Dark siders will love this story of a legendary Sith。 Jonathan Davis handles the narration beautifully。 This sets the stag Machinations of TwoThis is the second book in the Darth Bane trilogy。 It picks up after the events of the first book。 Young Zannah learns more of the dark side and Bane is infected and strengthened by parasitic organisms。 A web of intrigue is spun and some Jedi learn too late that the Sith are not dead。 A number of foolish people underestimate the Sith duo and pay the price。 Dark siders will love this story of a legendary Sith。 Jonathan Davis handles the narration beautifully。 This sets the stage for the final book in the trilogy, where Zannah must make her move and become the new Dark Lord of the Sith。 。。。more

Solid sequel。 This book definitely has one of the best final duels in all of Star Wars。 I'm always sad to see Jouhan killed though, I thought he was a pretty solid Jedi。 This book felt faster then I remember as well。 Reading the Bane books makes me sad for how awful his Revan book was。 That one would've easily been on the same level as these。 Ah well。 Solid sequel。 This book definitely has one of the best final duels in all of Star Wars。 I'm always sad to see Jouhan killed though, I thought he was a pretty solid Jedi。 This book felt faster then I remember as well。 Reading the Bane books makes me sad for how awful his Revan book was。 That one would've easily been on the same level as these。 Ah well。 。。。more

The twist at the end is worth reading the entire book。 May the Dark side of the Force be with you! 。。。more

Rule of Two was another Fantastic book by Drew Karpyshyn。 He describes the events in this book with such great detail that he takes the effort of imaging the events away and you can let your mind enjoy the movie he paints。The events in the book flow very nicely from the previous book with some great twists and turns。Overall this was a great book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great Star Wars book! Amazing! I love Zannah’s progression in this novel。 Drew definitely focuses more on her story arc than Bane’s this time。 It was slow in some areas, when he focuses more on the Jedi knights and Johun, but overall a great sequel。

I THINK I liked this one better than the first, although I did like Bane's origin story in the first book。 Bane now has an apprentice, he's been training her for a while, some of his plotting and plans start to take shape, he learns some stuff, his apprentice learns some stuff and then we are left heading into the third book with a wide open story。 I THINK I liked this one better than the first, although I did like Bane's origin story in the first book。 Bane now has an apprentice, he's been training her for a while, some of his plotting and plans start to take shape, he learns some stuff, his apprentice learns some stuff and then we are left heading into the third book with a wide open story。 。。。more

Bane and his apprentice Rain are the last of the Sith。 One to have the power and one to want it。 While Bane tries to help his understanding of the force grow through ancient Sith tomes, he continues to try to destabilize the Jedi and eventually bring them down。 Unfortunately one young Padawan finds rumors that a Sith Lord escaped the thought bomb and now he cannot let it go。 He wants to find the Sith。 While this story has a lot of Jedi lore, it is not my favorite story。 It moves much slower than Bane and his apprentice Rain are the last of the Sith。 One to have the power and one to want it。 While Bane tries to help his understanding of the force grow through ancient Sith tomes, he continues to try to destabilize the Jedi and eventually bring them down。 Unfortunately one young Padawan finds rumors that a Sith Lord escaped the thought bomb and now he cannot let it go。 He wants to find the Sith。 While this story has a lot of Jedi lore, it is not my favorite story。 It moves much slower than other Bane stories。 I am also very torn on the apparent wishy-washiness of his apprentice。 She is always fighting against her nature to be a good person。 Bane continues to be one of the more terrifying Siths to date。 His size and sheer power are overwhelming。 But when you add in his cunningness and battle smarts he is a deadly foe。 PG- 13 - Violence- There is a lot of lightsaber battles。 Descriptions of horrific dismemberment and torture of people。 It is a fairly graphic and violent book。 No swearing。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Jumping from the fast pace of the last book to the slow, archaic pace of this book is shocking。 While the ending of Path of Destruction moved too quickly, the first half of this book is much too slow。 I found myself constantly asking, "Why are we still here?"。 It felt as though the first half of this book was simply wrapping up the loose ends of the first one。 Though is it painfully slow, it does obviously seed the conflict for much later in the book and describes Zannah's clear fall into darkne Jumping from the fast pace of the last book to the slow, archaic pace of this book is shocking。 While the ending of Path of Destruction moved too quickly, the first half of this book is much too slow。 I found myself constantly asking, "Why are we still here?"。 It felt as though the first half of this book was simply wrapping up the loose ends of the first one。 Though is it painfully slow, it does obviously seed the conflict for much later in the book and describes Zannah's clear fall into darkness。Once the book takes a time jump halfway through, things immediately pick up。 The book shifts from Bane being the main character to Zannah。 Zannah's personality is introduced as much more mature than the nine year old girl we met with last and the skills she has learned from Bane are clear。 While Zannah is the hand of Bane's will, manipulating separatists and inflicting Sith magic on the weak, Bane's story falls flat。 We find that in the last several years Bane has found failure is his construction of a Holocron and has not left isolation due to his deformities。 He has been working behind the scenes of the galaxy to slightly alter things in his favor, but the unchained warrior seen in Path of Destruction has retired。 The book lacks excitement and thrill for all but the last few chapters。 This book includes the greatest lightsaber battle I have ever had the pleasure of reading。 Unable to continue sitting idly by, Bane once again unleashes his full fury on a group of Jedi hunting him and Zannah。 I am finally reminded of the unstoppable warrior introduced in Path of Destruction as Karpyshyn once again proves Bane's intelligence, cunning and mastery of the Force。 The book ends highlighting what Zannah has learned from her master。 Zannah saves herself and Bane from a seemingly unsolvable puzzle, protecting her master and the Sith legacy from ultimate destruction。 。。。more

Not a fan of this one。 As many reviews have said the story feels rushed and not very gripping。 And we get introduced to a load of random shit that made me cringe: sith spells, ‘technobeasts’, invincible crustacean armor。 Snore。The author mentions that this was written in 6 months and gosh can you tell。I enjoyed the first book a lot but I won’t be reading the third。

According to Goodreads, two stars means "it was OK" and that's how I feel about this book。 As I wrote in my review for the first Darth Bane novel, villains as protagonists tend to fall flat for me because frankly I don't care what happens to them。 I can't sympathize with a truly irredeemably wicked character, and that's what Bane and Zannah are, all the way。Rule of Two is a very strange story full of bizarre turns, very dark and twisted but it did entertain me for most of the ride。 Towards the e According to Goodreads, two stars means "it was OK" and that's how I feel about this book。 As I wrote in my review for the first Darth Bane novel, villains as protagonists tend to fall flat for me because frankly I don't care what happens to them。 I can't sympathize with a truly irredeemably wicked character, and that's what Bane and Zannah are, all the way。Rule of Two is a very strange story full of bizarre turns, very dark and twisted but it did entertain me for most of the ride。 Towards the end I got burned out on it, though, and I can't really express why that is without spoiling it。 It is somewhat interesting to see the inner workings of the Sith, and how the rule of two came to be, but for all the philosophizing that goes on, in the end the Dark Side is just really boring。 I guess that's fitting。 Evil is banal, in the end。 。。。more

Rule of Two is the sequel to Path of Destruction in the Darth Bane series and the second installment in the trilogy。 It takes place after Kaan's Dark Brotherhood was wiped out by the Thought Bomb on Ruusan and illustrates the complex relationship between Bane and Zannah as the master and the apprentice。 It has one of the best duel scenes I have read in any Star Wars novel, the four vs two duel towards the end。 But apart from this excellent section, this second installment did not offer much in t Rule of Two is the sequel to Path of Destruction in the Darth Bane series and the second installment in the trilogy。 It takes place after Kaan's Dark Brotherhood was wiped out by the Thought Bomb on Ruusan and illustrates the complex relationship between Bane and Zannah as the master and the apprentice。 It has one of the best duel scenes I have read in any Star Wars novel, the four vs two duel towards the end。 But apart from this excellent section, this second installment did not offer much in terms of story or substance。 。。。more

I was really disappointed with the writing on this one。 None of the characters were well-rounded, and even Bane was a flat character, compared to how he was in the first book。 In the acknowledgements, the author said this book went from idea to published in 6 months, and it shows really clearly。
