In the tradition of Before I Fall and If I StayThey Both Die at the End is a tour de force from acclaimed author Adam Silvera, whose debut, More Happy Than Not, the New York Times called “profound。”

Beautiful story Although I know they both die at the end I couldn’t help but she’s a few tears。 It was beautiful how the stories of death and life combined among the different character pov

A great read, it's emotive and thought-provoking。 The ending is the perfect way to end the book, leaving you with an unknowing。 It's a book I thoroughly enjoyed and one I would definitely read again。 It poses you questions to ask yourself about your life and how you lead it, it instantly attaches you to the characters and you really are on the journey with them。 A great read, it's emotive and thought-provoking。 The ending is the perfect way to end the book, leaving you with an unknowing。 It's a book I thoroughly enjoyed and one I would definitely read again。 It poses you questions to ask yourself about your life and how you lead it, it instantly attaches you to the characters and you really are on the journey with them。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this。 It was a heartwarming, heartbreaking story (at times a bit corny, but that's okay) about living before is too late。 Would recommend。 I really enjoyed this。 It was a heartwarming, heartbreaking story (at times a bit corny, but that's okay) about living before is too late。 Would recommend。 。。。more

A lot of people debate about whether this book is worth the hype。 In my opinion, it definitely is。 There’s so much character progression in the less than 24 hours the book takes place over。 I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who’d listen, and I probably will。

I was skeptical about this book at first because I heard it was emotional, but it didn't feel very at the beginning。 But as it went on, I felt connected and attached to the two main characters, Mateo and Rufus, and as their friendship and love story progressed, I was dreading the end of the book。 By the end, the feeling conveyed by the author went from adventurous to lonely to heartbroken。 I was skeptical about this book at first because I heard it was emotional, but it didn't feel very at the beginning。 But as it went on, I felt connected and attached to the two main characters, Mateo and Rufus, and as their friendship and love story progressed, I was dreading the end of the book。 By the end, the feeling conveyed by the author went from adventurous to lonely to heartbroken。 。。。more

The idea of this book has so much potential but it was pretty boring overall! I’m not even upset, the book didn’t touch me! I wish I knew more about the Death-Cast system and just more I’m general。 Literally nothing happened! Very disappointed but it’s okay I still loved the idea and the ending line was BEAUTIFUL !

IT REALLY DOES NOT PREPARE U AT ALL FOR WHAT WILL HAPPEN !! I GENUINELY GASPED SO LOUD WHEN IT HAPPENED THAT I IMMEDIATELY STARTED SOBBING。 At the same time as much as it made me feel things I knocked a star for how it ended。 (i wish there were halves in this scenario cuz then it would have been 4。5 stars) I did this because i think he built up this whole thing this whole reason and way for this to go and then just didn’t。 It felt kind of like when he was writing this with the original ending in mind and then right near the end decided that thats not the way he wanted it and so he picked some random aspects in the beginning that were just significant enough for us to be like “OOOOH NOOO” and not be like “well that came outta nowhere” but barely enough for us to really remember these things。 Then he tied it all up with a big gut punch line that calls back to one moment。 I DID CRY AND I DID LOVE THE BOOK the ending just felt a teensy bit rushed !OVERALL WOULD RECOMMEND :D 。。。more

This might be counted as spoilers, but I feel like the way they could’ve been completely avoided。 For that reason it wasn’t as sad as I thought it would be。 My attention span is very limited and I managed to finish this book in 2 days with school and activities in between。 It’s a very easy read and think the general reader would enjoy this book。 Would I cry at the end of this book? If you’re sensitive and can’t handle death that well, then yes you probably will。 Again I don’t count this as spoil This might be counted as spoilers, but I feel like the way they could’ve been completely avoided。 For that reason it wasn’t as sad as I thought it would be。 My attention span is very limited and I managed to finish this book in 2 days with school and activities in between。 It’s a very easy read and think the general reader would enjoy this book。 Would I cry at the end of this book?

kind of began to skim at the end but this was bittersweet。 i’m a serious book crier but this book just didn’t draw tears。 it was good, still。

I had mixed feelings about this book。 At first read, I was slightly too critical of this book, until I realized it was meant for young adults。 Upon this realization, I was able to enjoy the story more。 It has a good pace, and is cute, to say the least。 The first half seems to fall a little flat without the knowledge of the relationship about to blossom。 However, once it does it is a heartwarming rollercoaster ride to the finish, where they do in fact die at the end。
