Falls into the common trap of starting off strong, and then gradually weakening。Overall still a good book and fairly deserves the 4-star rating, but I wouldn't call it life-changing by any means。 Falls into the common trap of starting off strong, and then gradually weakening。Overall still a good book and fairly deserves the 4-star rating, but I wouldn't call it life-changing by any means。 。。。more

If you’re in need of a motivated business mindset, this book is a solid choice。 Its content is a bit repetitive, but the message is good。 The main topic of this book is basically a practical approach to manifestation。

There is a lot of useful information in the book。 Auto-suggestion, desire, faith and how to sell yourself to employers are just a number of them。 However, there are some drawbacks。 Infinite intelligence is one of them。 A concept so broad and lacking evidence。 Joseph Banks Rhine's studies of telepathy have never been replicated and are thus deemed untrue。 The book is good and can be very helpful, however not all concepts in it are true。 Furthermore, desire and faith are important, planning is als There is a lot of useful information in the book。 Auto-suggestion, desire, faith and how to sell yourself to employers are just a number of them。 However, there are some drawbacks。 Infinite intelligence is one of them。 A concept so broad and lacking evidence。 Joseph Banks Rhine's studies of telepathy have never been replicated and are thus deemed untrue。 The book is good and can be very helpful, however not all concepts in it are true。 Furthermore, desire and faith are important, planning is also essential。 However, without financial knowledge and understanding of other complex concepts thinking is not enough to grow rich。 Nonetheless, I believe that if you listen to the advice of the book and spend a lot of time and effort into educating yourself you too can become rich。 。。。more

Everyone shoud read #ThinkandGrowRich by #NapoleanHill at least once in their life。 It will inspire you, make you look at yourself for who you really are and equip you w/ the tools to overcome your weaknesses。I will be rereading this book, I want to take in everything that this book has to offer, take in and implement it in my life。 Honestly, I already feel a bit better version of myself。

Review - Think and Grow Rich by Napolean HillI would like to write a review of this book but I wound up skimming rather than reading most of。  I saw this referenced on a list of great financial book; however this seems to be more about personal motivation and psyching yourself up to do something than anything else。Now I like old books。  In some genres I like old books much better than new books。  However, even though this is only from 1937 it was too dated for me to enjoy。  From a philosophical Review - Think and Grow Rich by Napolean HillI would like to write a review of this book but I wound up skimming rather than reading most of。  I saw this referenced on a list of great financial book; however this seems to be more about personal motivation and psyching yourself up to do something than anything else。Now I like old books。  In some genres I like old books much better than new books。  However, even though this is only from 1937 it was too dated for me to enjoy。  From a philosophical point of view it was also too weird for me to enjoy。 “Through the medium of the ether, in a fashion similar to that employed by the radio broadcasting principle, every human brain is capable of picking up vibrations of thought which are being released by other brains。”  Not what I was looking for。There are some good principles for getting ahead in life in here, creating a master mind group being one of them。  At this time I was just not up to the challenge of screening the chaff from the wheat。  This may be worth re-visiting sometime when I have more leisure and know ahead of time that a great deal of sifting of the content of the book will be needed。 。。。more

A very inspiring book that I started to read by coincidence and finished it in 10 days。 Very addictive to read and has many connections between the intangible and how it relates to achieving wealth。 I will definitely read many times again! Was surprised to find out how old this book is。

Contains a lot of good information but the size can be reduced a lot by removing a lot of repetitive text (personal opinion)

Napoleon Hill interviewed 500 self made millionaires over a span of 20 years and gathered common traits and habits they all had and with that information created a formula to get rich。 Most likely inspiring the title “Think and Grow Rich” however, you can take more from the book than just that。 The book includes names like Thomas Roosevelt, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John D。 Rockefeller, J。P。 Morgan and many more making this a nonfiction book。I enjoyed reading this book。 It was a very unique and Napoleon Hill interviewed 500 self made millionaires over a span of 20 years and gathered common traits and habits they all had and with that information created a formula to get rich。 Most likely inspiring the title “Think and Grow Rich” however, you can take more from the book than just that。 The book includes names like Thomas Roosevelt, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, John D。 Rockefeller, J。P。 Morgan and many more making this a nonfiction book。I enjoyed reading this book。 It was a very unique and original piece because it is based on identifying traits and habits successful people made and with that information create a formula to get wealthy。 With that being said every person does not live the same life。 However, we can accumulate knowledge from these people to understand how every one of them was faithful in their dreams and themselves no matter the adversities。 I became a better person than I was before reading it。 I understood I had to continue pushing through all adversities because failure is expected but should not be accepted。 He gives a great example of this when he says “Helen Keller became deaf, dumb, and blind shortly after birth。 Despite her greatest misfortune, she has written her name indelibly in the pages of the history of the great。 Her entire life has served as evidence that no one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as reality。” The author made me more aware of how powerful our mind is when it is combined with actions and persistence。 This is the first book I have read by him but I am interested in reading "How to Own Your Own Mind" next。 The reason is because I want to further expand my consciousness。 I have implied many aspects from this book into my life。 After I read “Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure。 When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit。 That is exactly what the majority of men do。 More than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known told the author their greatest success came just one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them。” I realized I was only in the beginning stages of my success and that I will fail but they will be nothing more than minor setbacks。 “Set your mind on a definite goal and observe how quickly the world stands aside to let you pass。” Once I looked back into my life after reading this I noticed how when I had any goal in mind whether that was getting good grades, getting a job, or purchasing a car I was only able to accomplish those goals through having a definite and coveted goal in mind。 Napoleon's purpose was to prove to everyone that anything you put your mind to you can achieve。 He says “More gold had been mined from the mind of men than the earth itself” although he touches on a variety of different topics, there was always something in common。 They all had an idea that led towards a plan and then actions。 They followed through with the plans no matter how many failed attempts until they achieved success。 In the book, Napoleon says “A quitter never wins-and-a winner never quits。” Explaining how success cannot be attained without failure and lessons。 The idea of the book is to let the audience know that anything they truly desire they can accumulate by putting their mind to it and following through with actions and persistence。I believe this book would appeal to anyone with a coveted goal or desired self-improvement。 Upon reading the title you get an idea of what the book is going to include and it gives an understanding that the book's purpose is self-improvement。 The book reads “The starting point of all achievement is DESIRE。 Keep this constantly in mind。 Weak desire brings weak results, just as a small fire makes a small amount of heat。” Napoleon Hill encourages us to focus on ourselves and to keep it pushing。 “You are the master of your destiny。 You can influence, direct and control your own environment。 You can make your life what you want it to be。” Another example would be when he says “When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal。” I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking to reach the best version of themselves。 。。。more

I know it was written in a different time but it's still recommended as a must read。 YUCK!
