Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man Omnibus。 Collecting the whole of Miles Morales first run as Spider-Man。This story takes place in the Ultimate Marvel universe, not the main universe。 I have a soft spot for this universe as it was issues of The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Ultimate X-Men that got me into comics。I had previously read part of this story as a normal graphic novel, so it was great to read the whole origin of the character and his early adventures。 If you are a fan of the cha Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man Omnibus。 Collecting the whole of Miles Morales first run as Spider-Man。This story takes place in the Ultimate Marvel universe, not the main universe。 I have a soft spot for this universe as it was issues of The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Ultimate X-Men that got me into comics。I had previously read part of this story as a normal graphic novel, so it was great to read the whole origin of the character and his early adventures。 If you are a fan of the character from the Into the Spider-Verse film or the Miles Morales video game, I highly recommend this。Story: Miles origin story and the passing of the mantle from Peter Parker’s Spider-Man。 This means we get to see him interact with characters like Aunt May, MJ and Gwen Stacy and their reaction to a new Spider-Man。 He also has his own supporting characters including his best friend Ganke, plus complex relationships with his family。We get a great mix of coming of age, superhero action, epic team ups and overcoming the odds。 It’s wholesome but also packs some emotional punches along the way。Over the course of this omnibus Miles story does intersect with big events in the Ultimate universe。 This includes the Hydra fuelled Divided We Fall/United We Stand - a crossover with The Ultimates。 I feel we got enough of a sense of what was happening in the main crossover, whilst seeing it from Miles perspective and how it impacted his story。 The Cataclysm tie in however wasn’t as strong, but I think that’s due to needing to read the main event。 In Spider-Man’s issues a lot is left unanswered。Talking of crossovers, this partly acts as a lead in towards the big Secret Wars event。 But don’t let put you off, as it’s not a big aspect of the story。The artwork throughout the series is fantastic! Some of the best I have seen in modern comics。 A very realistic and cinematic approach。 Great at conveying the emotional and drama moments, but also the epic superhero action。 A highlight being the character and suit design for the new Spider-Man。Overall a fantastic introduction to the new Spider-Man。 He is definitely a contender to be one of my favourite Marvel characters。 I’ve actually read more of Miles as Spider-Man than I have Peter! 。。。more

This was a massive read!Took me quite some time to read through it but loved it throughout! What an epic book with so many great twists and turns and like its the origin of Miles into the Ultimate universe and its so well done from trying to fit into the legacy to becoming his own hero and introducing his supporting cast and then whatever happens with the ending its flawlessly executed! There are some great moments like when he fights VENOM and all that follows or the story with his Uncle Prowler This was a massive read!Took me quite some time to read through it but loved it throughout! What an epic book with so many great twists and turns and like its the origin of Miles into the Ultimate universe and its so well done from trying to fit into the legacy to becoming his own hero and introducing his supporting cast and then whatever happens with the ending its flawlessly executed! There are some great moments like when he fights VENOM and all that follows or the story with his Uncle Prowler and the drama with his father, fight with Galactus and all and the drama with the Ultimates (Avengers) and the result of it and finally i like the Ganke character and he brings a lot of gravitas into the role and finally the big Peter team up of 616 to fight Mysterio and the return of 1610 Peter and their fight with Green Goblin remains a highlight for me。I loved this volume and Miles is such a deep and interesting character and so well fleshed out and the art is so good throughout and now tying perfectly into Secret wars and sets him in main continuity。 This to day has to be some of Bendis best work and the way he brings this character to life is splendid。 。。。more

I freaking LOVE this book! I love Miles Morales! I love Ganke! I love Spider-Man! I love the Ultimate universe and I’m sad it’s gone。 This is definitively where one should start if you’re wanting to begin reading Spider-Man (particularly if you aren’t fussed about whether you’re reading Miles or Peter) The dust jacket has a very fitting quote from Screenrant。com “the poster child for modern day Spider-Man stories” Now if we can please just get an omnibus for the Saladin Ahmed Spider-Man run。 I n I freaking LOVE this book! 4。5 stars。Amazing how this is in some ways a love letter to everything great about Spider-Man, but also a very funky and fresh new start of some of Marvels most well known and beloved character, Miles Morales is Spider-Man and this is one of the best spider runs i have ever read。 So good, so much fun and so much heart。 I am head over heels right now, and cant wait to read that second omnibus, i just simply want more !

4。5Miles morales has arrived and he is here to stay The first ark is a brilliant origin story, up there with the best。 Compelling family dynamics and interwoven with Legacy dilemmas。 The war of Vernon issues are flat out amazing this needs to be in a film right now。 Wish it had the missing issue of catalyst would of made it more rounded and less like a tie in, could of finished the omnibus one story arc earlier。 Incredibly quick read when the comic is good it's straight fire。 4。5Miles morales has arrived and he is here to stay The first ark is a brilliant origin story, up there with the best。 Compelling family dynamics and interwoven with Legacy dilemmas。 The war of Vernon issues are flat out amazing this needs to be in a film right now。 Wish it had the missing issue of catalyst would of made it more rounded and less like a tie in, could of finished the omnibus one story arc earlier。 Incredibly quick read when the comic is good it's straight fire。 。。。more

Absolutely loved this run。 Miles is a wonderfully innocent and brave character whose crazy problems throughout this long series have a way of just being grounded and relatable。。。 Even though we have invasions of space gods, clones, angry Osborn lizards and massive comic book crossovers。 There is real heart to be found within these pages, Bendis really did create yet another top tier character for Marvel that we can all love, root for and follow through thick and thin。 He may not torture Miles as Absolutely loved this run。 Miles is a wonderfully innocent and brave character whose crazy problems throughout this long series have a way of just being grounded and relatable。。。 Even though we have invasions of space gods, clones, angry Osborn lizards and massive comic book crossovers。 There is real heart to be found within these pages, Bendis really did create yet another top tier character for Marvel that we can all love, root for and follow through thick and thin。 He may not torture Miles as much as did Matt Murdock, but he doesn't hold back painting this tale with the "always-f*ck-with-your-protagonist" brush。 What I like most, which is what I often like most about these kinds of books, is that hero-villain conflict was the least important part of this story。 There are so many plots and subplots weaving together that the story is really just there to service the wonderfully rich characters。 Some parts definitely felt a little disjointed with clear ties to bigger crossover event stories at the time, but I didn't feel removed from the main plot for any prolonged period of time and it didn't detract from the overall book。 There are even some genuine character moments in the crossover issues that really hit strong emotional beats, especially those involving Spider Woman。 And speaking of which, the supporting cast are also given plenty of time to shine。 A very important aspect to any good hero comic。 Ganke's unflinching loyalty that is common in teenage friendships, Miles' dad's complex world views, his uncle Aaron's predilection for crime, his girlfriend's secret family, the Bugle reporter investigating our new Spidey and even detective Maria Hill are all examples of the memorable writing contained in this omnibus。 If you like Spidey。。。 You'll love this。 。。。more

Actionfyldte og vildt underholdende historier。 Kunne måske savne et længere og mere gennemgående plot som kunne kulminere til sidst。

Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-ManWhat a book! Long read but worth it, just remember to take a water break every so often。 Did not grow up on Spider-Man, Superman yes, Spider-Man no。 But after reading so many Spider-Man books, and now more of Miles Morales, I'm a fan for life。 Great job everyone involved! As sacrilegious as this might be to say, these days, Miles Morales is a far more interesting Spider-Man than Peter Parker is。

I knew that this must be good, both because Miles is maybe the most popular new Marvel character in the last twenty years, and he was incredible in Into the Spider-Verse。 I still wasn't prepared for just how great these stories are and how unique Miles is。 He fits the tone of Spider-Man, but is definitely his own character, with his own issues, handling things his own way。 And, you know, he's gotta venom blast。 Pretty cool。 I knew that this must be good, both because Miles is maybe the most popular new Marvel character in the last twenty years, and he was incredible in Into the Spider-Verse。 I still wasn't prepared for just how great these stories are and how unique Miles is。 He fits the tone of Spider-Man, but is definitely his own character, with his own issues, handling things his own way。 And, you know, he's gotta venom blast。 Pretty cool。 。。。more

I started reading Miles Morales as Spider-Man when he'd already joined the regular Marvel universe。 I was sparked to go back and read his origin forward after watching Into the Spider-Verse。 I absolutely loved this book。 Brian Michael Bendis did an amazing job creating and developing Miles Morales。 It is unfortunate that this did not continue so well as it went on, but in the beginning it was fantastic。MLD I started reading Miles Morales as Spider-Man when he'd already joined the regular Marvel universe。 I was sparked to go back and read his origin forward after watching Into the Spider-Verse。 I absolutely loved this book。 Brian Michael Bendis did an amazing job creating and developing Miles Morales。 It is unfortunate that this did not continue so well as it went on, but in the beginning it was fantastic。MLD 。。。more

I wanted to read this since the Spider Verse movie is doing so well and I only kind of, sorta know about Miles Morales。 Well, now I love this little web slinger。 No one loves the original recipe Spider Man more than me, but let's be honest he's been around forever and there's only so many times you can watch Uncle Ben die。 I loved the new direction and stories they told with this, and I'm generally a huge fan of all the extended universe Spider characters。 Miles might be a new fave though I wanted to read this since the Spider Verse movie is doing so well and I only kind of, sorta know about Miles Morales。 Well, now I love this little web slinger。 No one loves the original recipe Spider Man more than me, but let's be honest he's been around forever and there's only so many times you can watch Uncle Ben die。 I loved the new direction and stories they told with this, and I'm generally a huge fan of all the extended universe Spider characters。 Miles might be a new fave though 。。。more

LOVED THIS。 Fun and enjoyable read with a great character。 My only criticisms would be the few instances it ties into events (and like a lot of omnibuses) you don't always get the full story。 And also the ending is a bit crap (thanks Secret Wars), but Miles is perfectly crafted。 He's a legacy character but he's also his own character。 LOVED THIS。 Fun and enjoyable read with a great character。 My only criticisms would be the few instances it ties into events (and like a lot of omnibuses) you don't always get the full story。 And also the ending is a bit crap (thanks Secret Wars), but Miles is perfectly crafted。 He's a legacy character but he's also his own character。 。。。more
