I loved the additional note at the end and the thoughtfulness of including this detail in the book。 Thank you to Rinker for expanding readers' awareness。 Another hit for the Construction Crew! I'm looking forward to reading this to Mister; he will probably know the names of all of the vehicles。 I certainly did not, which made this a great learning opportunity for me。The tone is so positive throughout, the rhymes flow well, and the anthropomorphism is charming。 Why there is one page of truck soun I loved the additional note at the end and the thoughtfulness of including this detail in the book。 Thank you to Rinker for expanding readers' awareness。 Another hit for the Construction Crew! Loved it!

Yet another gem in the enormously popular Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site series! This new story introduces seven new road-building trucks, and the prose follows the same familiar style and tone of the others in this series。 It's just a fun book to read aloud to your children。 I think that is a large part of what makes this so great: parents love it too! There is an interesting element added here in this book: the acknowledgment that road building disrupts animal habitat。 It's not inherent to the story or anything, but included as a note in the back of the book -- it asks if you noticed the coyote walking along the river, under the bridge。 It notes that more and more, road design is taking into account animal travel and migration。 I thought this was a nice added element for the older end of the age range。Overall this is a nice addition to the adventures with the construction crew!**Note: I was given a review copy of this book by Chronicle Kids。 Opinions are my own。 。。。more
