This story of two unlikely friends highlights how opposites can attract。 I enjoyed the contrast made between the two main characters。 You would never expect them to get along but the way they interact works perfectly together。 The hardships they watch each other go through makes the story more exciting and attention grabbing。 While this book discusses hardships of certain minorities like Hispanic heritage or the LGBTQ+ community， anyone can find something to relate to in this novel。 Concepts lik This story of two unlikely friends highlights how opposites can attract。 I enjoyed the contrast made between the two main characters。 You would never expect them to get along but the way they interact works perfectly together。 The hardships they watch each other go through makes the story more exciting and attention grabbing。 While this book discusses hardships of certain minorities like Hispanic heritage or the LGBTQ+ community， anyone can find something to relate to in this novel。 Concepts like moving houses， having difficult relationships with parents， discovering your interests or even your sexuality are some things most people have to go through。 The reason I gave a 3/5 rating was due to some stylistic choices。 The story is so fast paced that I feel as though some detail was left out that could have elevated the plot。 The chapters are also about 4-6 pages each and switches scenery quite frequently。 I also feel as though there wasn’t a solid conclusion to the book， but this may be because there is a sequel。 Overall I do recommend this book if you enjoy coming of age stories。 。。。more

DNF Another one of those books where all the 4*+ reviews are totally baffling me。 We must be reading different books。 Surely。Yeah， I know it’s YA & I’m an adult， but boy， the writing is poor， lazy even。 All telling and no showing。For a much better queer YA writer I’d go with Patrick Ness。

Estou desistindo apenas com 38% lido， mas com meu coração doendo。Quando comprei Aristóteles e Dante fiquei tão entusiasmada， imaginava que era um livro muito fofo e caloroso e esperava que ele me fizesse chorar e rolar em minhas emoções， mas…。 não fez！ Quando comecei， estava fluindo bastante， e estava até pensando “Ó， legal， uma leitura muito suave e fácil， vou terminar muito rapidamente！”， mas não terminei…Ari & Dante era para ser o meu segundo livro do ano， porque havia pegado desacostume de l Estou desistindo apenas com 38% lido， mas com meu coração doendo。Quando comprei Aristóteles e Dante fiquei tão entusiasmada， imaginava que era um livro muito fofo e caloroso e esperava que ele me fizesse chorar e rolar em minhas emoções， mas…。 não fez！ Quando comecei， estava fluindo bastante， e estava até pensando “Ó， legal， uma leitura muito suave e fácil， vou terminar muito rapidamente！”， mas não terminei…Ari & Dante era para ser o meu segundo livro do ano， porque havia pegado desacostume de ler， mas não consegui， li outros， e ele aqui estava， na minha estante virtual， esperando pra eu dar continuidade。 Eu apenas diria que esse livro tinha um potencial enorme， poderia ser muito melhor do que é， pra ser honesta。 A narrativa é tão entediante， muitas vezes sem sentido， e até maçante para mim， isso sem citar os diálogos que estavam me matando a cada segundo， e me arrastando de página em página， apenas almejando o final daquilo e nunca chegava。Então， eu percebi que não é pra mim。 Minhas expectativas eram tão altas e foram esmagadas， mas acontece。 Eu apenas estou muito decepcionada que levei três meses pra tentar ler um livro que queria bastante depois de ver excelentes recomendações， e não consegui nem chegar a metade… só que essa é a verdade， simplesmente não funcionou para mim， e posso até compreender quem amou e se apaixonou por ele， mas é muito difícil de fazer acontecer， e eu decidi que não vou forçá-lo mais。 ps: Não sabia que eu possuía um estilo preferido de leitura， até ler esse e descobrir qual o tipo que eu não gosto！ 。。。more

Oh wow！ That was amazing。 The writing in this book is phenomenal！ Reading this as a teenager was amazing to finally see an author who makes teenagers seem like actual teenagers。 This book was beautiful and the journey that Aristole went through to find himself was real and it made me feel like I was part of this book！ This book is the most heartwarming ones on my shelf。 I finished it in 1 day so it is quite an easy read！ I would recommend this 1000 times！ 5/5
