Hades - I’m so sorry I doubted your POV 😩🙌🏻I was skeptical to reread the same story but from Hade’s POV - but HOLY SHIIIIII- WORTH IT。 And damn, Hades。 Your thoughts were SINFUL 🙌🏻🥵 MY GODDDDDDD!!!!! I also ADORED exploring the banter between Hades, Hermès, and Hecate!! It was just adorable。 I loved that Hecate challenged Hades!! And the fact that Hades was fed-up with Minthe? SO GOOD TO KNOW HE WASN’T OBLIVIOUS 🙌🏻I also love that you find out that Hades just knows Persephone is going to be his Hades - I’m so sorry I doubted your POV 😩🙌🏻I was skeptical to reread the same story but from Hade’s POV - but HOLY SHIIIIII- WORTH IT。 And damn, Hades。 Your thoughts were SINFUL 🙌🏻🥵 MY GODDDDDDD!!!!! I love how it really shed light to Hades and his true emotions。 :)

I really wish goodreads did half or quarter stars。 This is a 3。5 or 3。75 rounded down。 I really liked the book, but it was literally exactly the first book from Hades POV and didn’t really add a ton to the storyline。 So while it was fun to get into his head and really see his personality。

Rating: 3。5I enjoyed seeing the story from Hades' point of view。 But just found Persephone’s character quite irritating。 Fun world building and great side characters。 Rating: 3。5I enjoyed seeing the story from Hades' point of view。 But just found Persephone’s character quite irritating。 Fun world building and great side characters。 。。。more

Like everyone says, this is a touch of darkness with Hades POV, you don't need to read this one if you already read the other one but if you love Hades I do recommend you to do it。 His version is funnier and spicier, being in Hades mind is so fun。 He's my favorite Greek god, so I am planning on reading all the books in this series and also in the Persephone POV, just for the love of Hades Like everyone says, this is a touch of darkness with Hades POV, you don't need to read this one if you already read the other one but if you love Hades I do recommend you to do it。 His version is funnier and spicier, being in Hades mind is so fun。 He's my favorite Greek god, so I am planning on reading all the books in this series and also in the Persephone POV, just for the love of Hades 。。。more

"What was evil for one, was a fight for a freedom to another。""Perhaps you fear women of power because of the way you use your own。"So here we are again。 I really didn't want to read basically the same story from Hades POV。 Seemed like a waste of time to me。 But what do you know, Hades is way more tolerable than Persephone。 And there are bigger stakes and the world isn't so narrow and boring。 I have to say though, feminist Hades is giving Rhys a run for his money。 How much more can you shove in "What was evil for one, was a fight for a freedom to another。""Perhaps you fear women of power because of the way you use your own。"So here we are again。 I really didn't want to read basically the same story from Hades POV。 Seemed like a waste of time to me。 But what do you know, Hades is way more tolerable than Persephone。 And there are bigger stakes and the world isn't so narrow and boring。 I have to say though, feminist Hades is giving Rhys a run for his money。 How much more can you shove in our faces the fact that women and children rights for him are sacred。🙄He's still way more interesting to read about even though the plot kept going in circles。I was surprised that I enjoyed reading the introduction to the series way more than the first time around。 Characters were more engaging, especially the gods。 (Hermes stealing the spotlight as always。) Hade's daily life was more interesting and filled with new information about the world they live in。 I can't stress enough how tedious it was to read through Persephone。 Can we just cancel her side and just continue with Hades instead? She was barely in this book and honestly, that made all the difference。I can't help feeling that if their fates wouldn't have intertwined, Hades wouldn't look at Persephone twice。 So is it really true love or just a game of fate after all?I mean, even Hades is annoyed with her half the time。 Basically even calling Persephone a bad journalist。 Which is not, not true。 I wasn't aware she even worked。‌Everything has to be about Persephone, though。 If she hadn't lost the game with Hades and wouldn't have to fulfill the bargain, she wouldn't even think twice about other mortals striking deals。She's the most clichéd damsel in distress I have ever read about。 She's always in trouble and someone always has to save her。"I'm not yours。 (。。) Have you ever thought that maybe you are mine instead?"What concerns Hades, he gave me an impression that he is all bark, no bite more often than not。 Like, did he really not see the trap set by Poseidon? Most of the times I really enjoyed his endeavours but then Persephone showed up and he acted like a love sick puppy with a constant hard on。Hecate is still the most reasonable there。The plot revolves around a stolen spindle from the Fates。 They have to find it and the mortal who stole it。 How hard can it be to find one guy? Well, apparently really hard if we spend an entire book looking for him。 And then, when he finally gets the dude, he escapes。 Because Hades couldn't focus on anything but his dick。 Persephone is such a bad influence on you, Hades。 "Did she fear more that she would no longer see him as she saw herself。 Alone。"Basically, all that unites them is sex。 Because when reading the first book, we had no idea what Hades was going through, what he did。 He was just gone。 He didn't tell her anything。 How his day was, what was troubling him, even when it involved her。 There was no communication。Besides that, everyone is just going behind Persephone's back, knowing that she will be his queen, long before she had even met them。 Shady。My favourite part has to be when Hades is raging against Persephone。"How dare you?""How dare I what, call out your bullshit? (。。) You act so powerless, but you've never made a damn decision for yourself。 (。。) Will you let you mother determine who you fuck now?" Damn, is it just me or did Hades just get 100 times more attractive。"Maybe that's the look you're going for, but you look like you've murdered someone。" 。。。more

3。5, me hubiera gustado el doble si a touch of darkness hubiera sido una novela a dos voces。 La vida de Hades me interesa más que la vida muy mundana de Perséfone (Aunque la amo igual jaja)

this book is somewhat better because it's told from hades' pov and I liked the side plot。 I also liked how St。 Clair fleshed out Hecate a bit more cause she was my second favorite character from the first book after Hades。 However, I still think the story would've been better with less smut。--also, how did I forget about Aphrodite??? She was also good and Demeter appeared more times than I wished。 this book is somewhat better because it's told from hades' pov and I liked the side plot。 I also liked how St。 Clair fleshed out Hecate a bit more cause she was my second favorite character from the first book after Hades。 However, I still think the story would've been better with less smut。--also, how did I forget about Aphrodite??? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐-5 Stars。Reading the same story from two different povs? Probably not my best decision。 But did I love it? YES! So I read A Touch Of Darkness and this book at the same time, and it was fun! I skipped a lot of the content since it was repetitive, but It helped me to understand Hades more and to be more invested in the story because lets face it, Persephone is a bit annoying and he is confusing af。 I loved this book a lot more and cant wait to read the next books in both series together! Honestly, don't read A Touch of Darkness。 Just read this one。The B Plot is much more interesting, Hades is more sympathetic, the other Gods are more involved and explored, and the best part, there's less Persephone。I may actually continue with the series, but only through Hades Saga。 Honestly, don't read A Touch of Darkness。 Just read this one。The B Plot is much more interesting, Hades is more sympathetic, the other Gods are more involved and explored, and the best part, there's less Persephone。I may actually continue with the series, but only through Hades Saga。 。。。more

Not much to say as this was just A Touch of Darkness told in Hades pov, but I still adored it。 。。I loved getting an inside look at what Hades was feeling and experiencing over the course of the first book。The whole time I was reading, I was trying to picture Persephone and her thoughts during the scene that was taking place。。。Really enjoying this series so far。 Cant wait to pick up the next book!

I could only describe the tone of this book as incredibly goofy。 This is the same story as A Touch of Darkness but from the perspective of Hades。 While AToD felt rather consistent in its tone, A Game of Fate was all over the place。 In one chapter, Hades would be torturing a person and the next he was baking cookies。 The whole side plot with Sisyphus ended in literally one paragraph。 It was so anticlimactic。 The whole time, Hades is just down bad。 He is so angry and horny throughout this whole bo I could only describe the tone of this book as incredibly goofy。 This is the same story as A Touch of Darkness but from the perspective of Hades。 While AToD felt rather consistent in its tone, A Game of Fate was all over the place。 In one chapter, Hades would be torturing a person and the next he was baking cookies。 The whole side plot with Sisyphus ended in literally one paragraph。 It was so anticlimactic。 The whole time, Hades is just down bad。 He is so angry and horny throughout this whole book it is on the edge of unreadable。 The reason this is rated as high as it is is that it moves past being just bad, to being enjoyably bad。 So stupid, it made me want to hate-read it just for something to laugh at。 The dialogue is weird。 The prose is wacky。 This was a wild ride from start to finish。 I almost want to read the next book。 。。。more

I have to say, reading Hades’ POV was by far my favorite narration of this series。 I truly can’t wait for the other books to be released in his POV as well。 Hades, as written in the ATOD series, always fascinated me。 He was a man - a god - of very few words, but each one weighed very heavily with meaning and emotion。 I enjoyed the new plot that included glimpses into what the Triad was, and the storylines with Sisyphus and Theseus。 The characters were wonderful。 As usual, Hecate and Hermès are a I have to say, reading Hades’ POV was by far my favorite narration of this series。 I truly can’t wait for the other books to be released in his POV as well。 Hades, as written in the ATOD series, always fascinated me。 He was a man - a god - of very few words, but each one weighed very heavily with meaning and emotion。 I enjoyed the new plot that included glimpses into what the Triad was, and the storylines with Sisyphus and Theseus。 The characters were wonderful。 As usual, Hecate and Hermès are a treat and so fun to read。 Seeing more of Zeus here was also a delight, and understanding how the relationships are between the brothers was entertaining。 I won’t be breaking down my review much more。 But this will definitely be a reread for me one day。 Overall: 4。5/5 。。。more

A Touch of Darkness is the 1st book in 👑Scarlett St。 Clair's Persephone & Hades' retelling and currently my sis is borrowing it because I love to share my favorite books! A Touch of Malice is the most recent release。This is a VERY sexy( NOT YA) retelling of their story and I AM HERE FOR IT。 🔥🔥🔥 It is set in a modern world with a reimagining of how Greek gods & goddesses might exist today。 The series has a unique structure as the books titled "A Touch of。。" are from Persephone's point of view。 Th A Touch of Darkness is the 1st book in 👑Scarlett St。 Clair's Persephone & Hades' retelling and currently my sis is borrowing it because I love to share my favorite books! Ok, much better。 This was basically just A Touch of Darkness but told through Hades' perspective。It was so much funnier and less boring。 I loved how Hades spends his whole time just horny and anxious。 I also loved the friendship with Hecate。So ok, let`s give the series a second chance and read A Touch of Ruin。 Ok, much better。 This was basically just A Touch of Darkness but told through Hades' perspective。It was so much funnier and less boring。 I loved how Hades spends his whole time just horny and anxious。 I also loved the friendship with Hecate。So ok, let`s give the series a second chance and read A Touch of Ruin。 。。。more
