This story shows that sometimes kids really are forgetful, and sometimes they just say that they forgot when, really, they have chosen not to do what they know they should。

Little Critter seems to be forgetting a lot of things today。 He is forgetting to do a lot of common sense things。 For example, he forgot to turn off the running water after his bath。 However, he didn't forget to close the refrigerator door, he just wouldn't close it until he finishes eating。 This book is very goofy and the illustrations are are just as silly。 Little Critter seems to be forgetting a lot of things today。 He is forgetting to do a lot of common sense things。 For example, he forgot to turn off the running water after his bath。 However, he didn't forget to close the refrigerator door, he just wouldn't close it until he finishes eating。 This book is very goofy and the illustrations are are just as silly。 。。。more

This book teaches kids that forgetting to do things happens。 There is no correctional idea to encourage kids to try to remember important things。 It kind of normalizes forgetting without reinforcement on how important it is to not forget certain things, like turning off a tub or feeding a pet。 However, it does end with the child stating he’ll never forget to read with his mom and kiss her goodnight。 This is a positive idea because it presents the importance of remembering to do the things in chi This book teaches kids that forgetting to do things happens。 There is no correctional idea to encourage kids to try to remember important things。 It kind of normalizes forgetting without reinforcement on how important it is to not forget certain things, like turning off a tub or feeding a pet。 However, it does end with the child stating he’ll never forget to read with his mom and kiss her goodnight。 This is a positive idea because it presents the importance of remembering to do the things in childhood that will be cherished forever。 I can relate to this book in the sense that I often times do forget things, like everyone else。 I can also relate in that I’m 20, and I still tell my family goodnight every night。 。。。more

The Little Critter books are awesome! This "I Just Forgot" one in particular, is one of my favorites。 Everyone tends to forget sometimes and in this story, it is all about how the critter remembered to do something, but then forgot to do another thing。 Although there is not really a plot to the story, it is an easy concept for children and especially transitional readers who still haven't grasped reading and comprehending at the same time。 The Little Critter books are awesome! Critter does something, but he forgets to finish something else。 He remembers to do half the things and the other half he forgets。 There is one thing he never forgets which has his mom read a story to him and kiss her goodnight。 We can this book to teach a lesson about responsibility。 We can also teach them strategies to remember important information。 I like how the book is relatable to all kids because they tend to forget a lot of stuff including myself。 It is a realistic book and I liked how Critter does something, but he forgets to finish something else。 He remembers to do half the things and the other half he forgets。 There is one thing he never forgets which has his mom read a story to him and kiss her goodnight。 We can this book to teach a lesson about responsibility。 We can also teach them strategies to remember important information。 I like how the book is relatable to all kids because they tend to forget a lot of stuff including myself。 It is a realistic book and I liked how the pictures support the text。 What I didn’t like about this story is how he says he didn’t forget to water the plants even though they looked pretty dead to me。 It's like he is lying and trying to cover it up or making it seem like he remembered。 。。。more

While there isn't a plot to this book, it is still a fun and enjoyable read。 This book is targeted for beginning readers and does a good job of keeping the ideas simple。 Little Critter just can't seem to remember (intentionally or not) to turn the water off, remember his rain boots, and much more。 This book is fun for children to read on their own or with someone while it teaches them to remember certain things。 The illustrations in this book are also enjoyable to view while reading this book be While there isn't a plot to this book, it is still a fun and enjoyable read。 This book is targeted for beginning readers and does a good job of keeping the ideas simple。 Little Critter just can't seem to remember (intentionally or not) to turn the water off, remember his rain boots, and much more。 This book is fun for children to read on their own or with someone while it teaches them to remember certain things。 The illustrations in this book are also enjoyable to view while reading this book because of the amount of detail。 This book ends on a positive note that Little Critter never forgets to kiss his mother goodnight。 。。。more

The illustrations are very detailed。 This book was very engaging to me because the plot was more obvious than other children books I have read。 I think this book is really relatable to children and will be enjoyable to them。

I am not a fan of these books for one reason: they tend not to have any lesson or reason to them。 For instance, in this one, he talks about things he forgot, is lying about forgetting things, and then there is no wrap-up or consequence or change of behavior, it just ends。 My 5yo niece even said, "So he is saying he forgot so he doesn't get into trouble, right?" And that's pretty much all you need to know。 I gave her the lesson myself, but to a lot of parents or babysitters, etc。 who don't think I am not a fan of these books for one reason: they tend not to have any lesson or reason to them。 For instance, in this one, he talks about things he forgot, is lying about forgetting things, and then there is no wrap-up or consequence or change of behavior, it just ends。 My 5yo niece even said, "So he is saying he forgot so he doesn't get into trouble, right?" I loved thes books as a kid, and I still love them now。 I love how it helps us see kiddos as the little people they are, instead of adults with adult behaviors。

This basically wraps up how my David use to be。 He’s more grown up then that now though。 Kind of wish I had read it when he was younger so I could be understanding and realize he was normal。

This is the last story from the little Critter Collection。 Critter starts something and forgets to finish something。 He gets out the milk and forgets to shut the refrigerator door etc。 Guess who is also like that in this house。 Well, yes, I am very forgetful and I have locked myself out of the house with my purse and keys still inside several time, so I am guilty too, but mine is more student brain。 The nephew is great about doing half a project。 He gets so focused on something everything else j This is the last story from the little Critter Collection。 Critter starts something and forgets to finish something。 He gets out the milk and forgets to shut the refrigerator door etc。 Guess who is also like that in this house。 Well, yes, I am very forgetful and I have locked myself out of the house with my purse and keys still inside several time, so I am guilty too, but mine is more student brain。 The nephew is great about doing half a project。 He gets so focused on something everything else just disappears。 It’s probably a sign of genius or something。 He does say, I just forgot, a lot around here。 The niece hardly ever forgets。 Her memory is amazing。 So, she didn’t care for this story。 She gave this 2 stars。 The nephew understood Critter and he gave him 4 stars。 。。。more

This book was sweet, I feel that younger kids could really relate to this story。 For a lesson to go along with this one, I would have each kid write a list of things they always forget。 And then, I would have a sheet for them to write what the forget on。 They can decorate it and change it however they would like, then they will take it home and hang it on the fridge so they can try and hold themselves accountable。 This will definitely help promote responsibility and would be a fun little activit This book was sweet, I feel that younger kids could really relate to this story。 For a lesson to go along with this one, I would have each kid write a list of things they always forget。 And then, I would have a sheet for them to write what the forget on。 They can decorate it and change it however they would like, then they will take it home and hang it on the fridge so they can try and hold themselves accountable。 This will definitely help promote responsibility and would be a fun little activity for a Friday or a time where there needs to be an activity to keep the students busy。 I also liked the illustrations in this book, you can really tell the emotions of the characters, so when he forgot something, you could just tell by looking。 I would keep this book for my classroom, this book is also a little funny too which I really liked。 。。。more

In this book, the main character struggles with being forgetful。 He begins by stating that he remembered to brush his teeth, but forgot to make his bed。 He also remembers to put his dishes in the sink, but forgot to put the milk back in the refrigerator。 Sometimes the main character doesn't forget to do something, but still makes a mistake and upsets his mom anyways。 For example, he doesn't forget to take his dirty boots off when he comes inside because he is going right back outside。 However, h In this book, the main character struggles with being forgetful。 He begins by stating that he remembered to brush his teeth, but forgot to make his bed。 He also remembers to put his dishes in the sink, but forgot to put the milk back in the refrigerator。 Sometimes the main character doesn't forget to do something, but still makes a mistake and upsets his mom anyways。 For example, he doesn't forget to take his dirty boots off when he comes inside because he is going right back outside。 However, his mother is still upset because he tracked a lot of dirt inside the house。 He does admit, though, to forgetting about picking up his toys。 The book ends with the boy stating that he never forgets to have his mom read him a story at bed time and give her a kiss goodnight。 This is a sweet story that relates to everyone, because we all can agree that we forget to do things at times。 This book teaches students about forgetting things but making up for it, and always remembering to do the things that are most important to you。 I also love how the illustrator features the little spider in every scene! 。。。more

Another critter book I’m not a fan off。 The illustrations are ok but I don’t like the story。 Not easy or fun to follow。

I thought this book was a fun read to see how the critter remembered to do one thing but forgot to do another or a different step。 This book is good for children to learn to be responsible。 Children can learn to be responsible for their own behavior and learn how to take responsibility if they make a mistake。
