5 stars！！！！ One star because these characters were amazing。 One star for the plot because goodness there was some great plot and some juicy twists and turns in this。 One star for the writing- Sarah J。 Maas is one of my favorite voices in Fantasy， and this book really shows why。 One star for the setting and world-building- this is something I think that SJM does well in all of her books。 One star for personal enjoyment。 This book was a wild ride， and I loved every second。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 So much better than the first book！ Caleana had more personality in this book， but still was to self-centered and arrogant for my liking。 I stared suspecting Caleana was Aelin， but I had hoped that she’d be someone else， because I don’t know how many books I can handle with her as main character。I do like Chaol and Dorian， but thanks to booktok I already know Rowan will show up， so let’s hope he’ll win me over

Segunda parte de esta saga y en principio me pasaba lo mismo que con la primera parte no me terminaba de convencer。 Eso sí las últimas páginas dan un vuelco y te enganchan y ya no puedes parar， lógicamente te deja con ganas de más。 Para ser mis primeros libros de la autora me espera más， pero me están entreteniendo mucho y el mundo que ha creado， la manera en la que se empieza a complicar y la manera de hilarlo es fantástica eso no lo puedo negar。 Hay veces que me saca un poco de la trama porque Segunda parte de esta saga y en principio me pasaba lo mismo que con la primera parte no me terminaba de convencer。 Eso sí las últimas páginas dan un vuelco y te enganchan y ya no puedes parar， lógicamente te deja con ganas de más。 Para ser mis primeros libros de la autora me espera más， pero me están entreteniendo mucho y el mundo que ha creado， la manera en la que se empieza a complicar y la manera de hilarlo es fantástica eso no lo puedo negar。 Hay veces que me saca un poco de la trama porque creo que le faltan más términos del período en el que se sitúala la historia。 Si buscáis libros entretenidos y con acción son los vuestros。 。。。more

4。5 ★Me encanta cómo en este libro evolucionan cada uno de los personajes: vimos varias facetas de Celaena que no nos habríamos imaginado y vimos cómo tanto el príncipe （Dorian） como el capitán de la guardia （Chaol） se enamoraban perdidamente de ella y eso los cambiaba por completo。 En este segunda libro vemos a un un príncipe mucho más maduro， más mayor， menos preocupado por su amor adolescente por la asesina y más centrado en otros asuntos más importantes para él y el futuro del reino。 Chaol， 4。5 ★Me encanta cómo en este libro evolucionan cada uno de los personajes: vimos varias facetas de Celaena que no nos habríamos imaginado y vimos cómo tanto el príncipe （Dorian） como el capitán de la guardia （Chaol） se enamoraban perdidamente de ella y eso los cambiaba por completo。 En este segunda libro vemos a un un príncipe mucho más maduro， más mayor， menos preocupado por su amor adolescente por la asesina y más centrado en otros asuntos más importantes para él y el futuro del reino。 Chaol， ahí donde lo vemos， tan fuerte y formal y con tanto autocontrol， termina dejando caer esa máscara。 Su papel no es únicamente el del chico con la historia de amor o el de uno de los que forman el triángulo amoroso， sino que también tiene sus propios problemas familiares y ciertos traumas del pasado。 Chaol sin duda es mi personaje favorito。。。 Corona de mediano， es una buena continuación。 Un poquito lenta en algunos caps ， pero poco a poco esto se va poniendo interesante y tiene muchos giros sorprendentes y con un final genial， que es imposible no ir corriendo por el tercero y aunque muero de ganas de leerlo ya tengo que leer primero los relatos o precuelas de la saga。 。。。more

Crown of Midnight was a much better book than Throne of Glass。 I still found myself running into predictable elements， but none of them bothered me in the slightest。 I felt pulled further into the story， emotionally invested in the characters and their development， and then heartbroken and enraged by plot development/twists。 I am very excited to continue on in the series and will be reading Assassin’s Blade next。
