I read this book in about a day， then spent the rest of the week hunting down bleach alternative and rubbing alcohol so that could wash seven loads of washing in one day！ It is very fitting that Patric Richardson is known as the Laundry Evangelist because I want to buy every person I know this book for Christmas and convert everyone to the four piles， fast warm wash revolution！ Alongside the great tips and logical explanations of why we should ditch everything we have been told about doing washi I read this book in about a day， then spent the rest of the week hunting down bleach alternative and rubbing alcohol so that could wash seven loads of washing in one day！ It is very fitting that Patric Richardson is known as the Laundry Evangelist because I want to buy every person I know this book for Christmas and convert everyone to the four piles， fast warm wash revolution！ Alongside the great tips and logical explanations of why we should ditch everything we have been told about doing washing， Richardson infuses this book with his passion for clothes， laundry and most of all the women in his life who made him the man he is today。 Even if you pay someone to do your laundry you should read this book！My only criticism is that the book doesn't have an index， which would make it easier to refer back to certain parts when you need to know when and why you should， say， put washing sofa in your load。 。。。more

A book about laundry？ Really？ YES。 I had no idea the history and technique of this daily household chore would be so interesting！ I originally borrowed this from the library， but ended up purchasing my own copy to use as a reference。 And while I don’t think I’ll take on all of his advice， I am changing the tools and techniques I use for much of our family laundry！
