Summary

Unfinished is a collection of personal essays, stories, and observations by actor, producer, activist and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Priyanka Chopra。

‘The flavor of the book will be honest, funny, spirited, bold, and rebellious, just like me。 I have always been a private person; I’ve never spoken about my feelings during my journey but I am ready to do so now。 I was raised to be fearless when it came to opinions, and I would like to tell my story in the hopes of inspiring people--especially women--to change the conversation, to shatter glass ceilings。 Women are always told we can’t have everything。 I want everything, and I believe anyone else can have it too。 I’m proof of it。’ – Priyanka Chopra

It’s hard to write a review for this but I will try:TL;DR -> Overall: it’s nice I wanted a sneak peak into Priyanka Chopra’s life, a powerful global personality who I have liked even when she was an established star just in India。 The parts of the book I liked the most are her early days - her journey as a kid to being the miss world。 I felt an element of honesty, major relatability and so many knots coming undone。 It was a great read。For later parts of the book - I felt I was reading a super re It’s hard to write a review for this but I will try:TL;DR -> Overall: it’s nice I wanted a sneak peak into Priyanka Chopra’s life, a powerful global personality who I have liked even when she was an established star just in India。 The parts of the book I liked the most are her early days - her journey as a kid to being the miss world。 I felt an element of honesty, major relatability and so many knots coming undone。 It was a great read。For later parts of the book - I felt I was reading a super refined and polished version。 She as a global star, a business woman and a Woman who is juggling so much,as the book depicts has (and must have) overcome major hurdles in life yet I don’t have any takeaways。 I missed those punch in the gut takeaways, those rude awakenings, personal struggle and how she overcame it。I am still impressed by how phenomenal she and her career are but maybe because she has a long way to go, she couldn’t afford unbridled honesty? 。。。more

Like the title, I decided to leave this book unfinished。Had too many expectations but to my dismay。 Getting halfway through the book made me question another book where I could've invested the money I wasted here!Could've been much better, but the edit is just terrible。 Like the title, I decided to leave this book unfinished。Had too many expectations but to my dismay。 Getting halfway through the book made me question another book where I could've invested the money I wasted here!Could've been much better, but the edit is just terrible。 。。。more

What a writing to read! A journey of a strong women with the support of her family decorating different roles without losing the values instilled and a passion to contribute to make the world a better place。 I wanted to read because I wanted to know more about her role as UN goodwill ambassador but it was not elaborate。 The ending of the book tells,"The purpose of every life is to make the journey the best one that we can for ourselves and for those around us- those people who sit by our sides i What a writing to read! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I really liked this memoir! I'd probably rate it more of a 3。75 though because I felt certain parts were a little more glazed over and PR approved。 I also thought some parts of it were a bit cheesy sometimes like the use of hashtags and the train and house metaphors but overall, I enjoyed reading it and learning more about Priyanka's story and more about the Indian culture and film industry。 my favorite part was probably learning more about her family and her dad - it's clear how important they I really liked this memoir! Rating 3。75I hadn't known much about Priyanka Chopra before reading this。 I had seen her on Quantico and liked her acting。I like her voice and it's great that she narrated this herself。 Of course she is still young, so the title, Unfinished, is appropriate。 I found her story interesting, and think that she addressed a wide range of experiences and feelings as deeply as it's possible at this point in her life。 I think it's difficult to do an in-depth analysis of your life experiences while you ar Rating 3。75I hadn't known much about Priyanka Chopra before reading this。 I had seen her on Quantico and liked her acting。I like her voice and it's great that she narrated this herself。 Of course she is still young, so the title, Unfinished, is appropriate。 I found her story interesting, and think that she addressed a wide range of experiences and feelings as deeply as it's possible at this point in her life。 I think it's difficult to do an in-depth analysis of your life experiences while you are still living it full speed - and she's basically in the living life to the fullest business。 Overall it reads like a full account of her life up to this point, with highlights of her emotions and feelings about her experiences。 。。。more

You cannot help it if you are Indian to not root for Priyanka Chopra。 I was never a big fan of her Bollywood movies。 How many times have we seen a Beauty pageant winner, gets into movies and have the whole country fawning about her? Once or twice, try many times over。 The first movie I saw of her was Fashion。 I thought that it as different and had a strong female character which I found so refreshing。 When I saw on VH1 a music video of hers, I cringed。 Beautiful woman but no where close to good。 You cannot help it if you are Indian to not root for Priyanka Chopra。 I was never a big fan of her Bollywood movies。 How many times have we seen a Beauty pageant winner, gets into movies and have the whole country fawning about her? I probably made it half way through, before picking up another book。。。 then another。。。。 I’m giving up, because I’d rather have nothing to read than force myself through another page。 I can’t pinpoint what it is that I’m not enjoying, maybe this book is more interesting if you’re a fan。 I just find it。。。 boring。

Five things about Unfinished by Priyanka Chopra Jonas 4/5⭐️s1。 This is a love story。 Priyanka, (after all these hours together I feel like we are on a first name basis) tells the story of loving her family, her life, her career, her successes, her mistakes, her husband, her homes, and ultimately- herself in a healthy and self-respecting way。 I seriously loved her message。 2。 There are moments that I really wish she’d taken a stronger stand on the misogyny she encountered in Bollywood and the pag Five things about Unfinished by Priyanka Chopra Jonas 4/5⭐️s1。 This is a love story。 Priyanka, (after all these hours together I feel like we are on a first name basis) tells the story of loving her family, her life, her career, her successes, her mistakes, her husband, her homes, and ultimately- herself in a healthy and self-respecting way。 I seriously loved her message。 2。 There are moments that I really wish she’d taken a stronger stand on the misogyny she encountered in Bollywood and the pageant circuit。 Her actions - too often - and therefore her message to the MANY women of the subcontinent that will look to this book to see themselves represented is that it cannot be addressed, it cannot be changed, so just focus on yourself and let it be。 As someone who spent years living and teaching in Northern India, I wanted a stronger message of empowerment for these women。 Her work with UNICEF is wonderful and commendable and in her own teen and early adult years she did the best she could in that male dominated and domineering society but from the platform of this book she could have done more。 Just as she pointedly addresses the fairness cream mistakes of her past and calls out for change。 3。 I may have been living under a rock, but though I knew Priyanka had married a Jonas brother and had some parts in a few Hollywood movies, I very much know her as a Bollywood personality。 Through this book, I was introduced to her as a musician and the star of Quantico。。。which I had never even heard of。。。yeah, I’ll just go slide back under my rock。 4。 Her voice here is warm。 She shares who she is。 There are moments of intense joy, real pain, and daring greatness。 All in all this is the kind of memoir I love。 5。 I’m going to go see if I can find some episodes of Quantico to watch now。。。#audiobooklove 。。。more

The only knowledge about her before listening to this audiobook was of an ex beauty queen and the new Mrs。 Jonas。 Sadly she came across as superficial through most of the book。 I wish she would have talked more about her work with UNICEF that was only in the last chapter of the book。 Perhaps the title of unfinished is fitting because it seems as though she jumped the gun on writing her memoir maybe in 10 years she’d have more to contribute。

Great read。 Most of the time, it felt like Priyanka Copra is directly conversing with me。 From breaking barriers at every stage to making inroads into mainstream Hollywood, this book covers every bit of her life。 She faced bullying, she worked 15 hours a day, she overcame depression but never did she give up。 Life has been tough to her。 Huge Respects。

Unfinished is a collection of 11 chapters that are well-written by actor, producer Priyanka Chopra。 That covers her journey of self-discovery and ‘global domination'。Starting from her childhood days growing up with her family, to moving around a lot due to her military background, then later onwards shifting to the united states to study in high school, to coming back home and all the sudden a year later becoming miss world, and to the beginning of getting film opportunities, leading her to a pl Unfinished is a collection of 11 chapters that are well-written by actor, producer Priyanka Chopra。 That covers her journey of self-discovery and ‘global domination'。Starting from her childhood days growing up with her family, to moving around a lot due to her military background, then later onwards shifting to the united states to study in high school, to coming back home and all the sudden a year later becoming miss world, and to the beginning of getting film opportunities, leading her to a plethora of Bollywood roles over the past two decades and counting, along with successfully establishing herself in Hollywood。Priyanka discusses the most important aspects of her life。 What she actually values and cherishes such as having a close-knit family, friends, meaningful relationships, humanitarian work, and her career。 The book is a thoughtful revealing memoir about a hard-working woman with many talents and an outstanding life rooted in two different worlds。My Review 💖Overall, the writing style was very effortless, engaging, easy to read, and beginner-friendly。 it was quite a lovely quick read yet being fun and entertaining at the same time。 I really appreciated PC for sharing a lot of things about her life with the utmost honesty and not being afraid to also let us know that she was holding some details back for herself such as her relationship。Furthermore, I would like to Thank Priyanka Chopra, for breaking stereotypes。 For paving a pathway for brown girls all around the world。 along with leaving a positive message for young girls at the end of the day。 letting them know that they are beautiful, worthy, seen, and appreciated。 She also emphasized big time on being confident of one’s roots and colorful heritage no matter where they are from。 that it is more of an asset, rather than a drawback。 one shouldn’t be ashamed of it, and it’s good to be different。 we should be proud of that and embrace it with open arms!! 。。。more

I have admired her drive, spirit and acting skills far too long, so I was sure that I will be reading this one。 The book is honest and well-written, for someone who is not a professional author。 It’s great that someone as busy as her took the time to write it herself when she could have had someone else tell her story like so many other famous people who opt for biographies。 But like everything else she has done, she is a trend setter in this regard as well。 I felt that the first few chapters we I have admired her drive, spirit and acting skills far too long, so I was sure that I will be reading this one。 The book is honest and well-written, for someone who is not a professional author。 It’s great that someone as busy as her took the time to write it herself when she could have had someone else tell her story like so many other famous people who opt for biographies。 But like everything else she has done, she is a trend setter in this regard as well。 I felt that the first few chapters were a little boring and could have been shorter, but other than that it was a light, mostly entertaining read。 。。。more

I really like this one。 I listen to the audiobook and I read it by Priyanka Chopra herself, It added a level of intimacy to the story, It felt like she was just telling it to me I really enjoyed her voice。Compared to the past few celebrity memoirs which I have listened to and read this really stood out as something worth reading or listening to, some of the others I felt robbed of my time。The stories are funny, heartwarming, sad, I know overall very very enjoyable。

This book was more of a summary and not an actual memoir。 She definitely stayed away from things that would make her look bad, like her Bollywood trysts。 I expected more honesty from this book than what I ended up reading。 The high ratings have to be from her fans because this book had tons of issues。 I can definitely say that she should stick to her day job and leave the writing to others。 #truth
