Kind of boring, actually。 I don't find the central gag (Tomo is too boyish!) to be at all funny, and Jun just comes off as having the IQ of a wet paper towel。 And is about as interesting as a wet paper towel, too。 Kind of boring, actually。 I don't find the central gag (Tomo is too boyish!) to be at all funny, and Jun just comes off as having the IQ of a wet paper towel。 And is about as interesting as a wet paper towel, too。 。。。more

This is a romcom cliche manga where a Tomboy named Tomo confessed to his childhood friend named Jun only to discover that Jun treats her like a guy friend。 Tomo is a typical Tomboy character, engaging in games and activities that are physical in nature and she wear clothes that are gender neutral。 Jun was surprise to learn that Tomo was a girl all along during the middle school when she wear the uniform skirt。 Now, entering highschool, Tomo, and with the help of her friends plans to make Jun awa This is a romcom cliche manga where a Tomboy named Tomo confessed to his childhood friend named Jun only to discover that Jun treats her like a guy friend。 Tomo is a typical Tomboy character, engaging in games and activities that are physical in nature and she wear clothes that are gender neutral。 Jun was surprise to learn that Tomo was a girl all along during the middle school when she wear the uniform skirt。 Now, entering highschool, Tomo, and with the help of her friends plans to make Jun aware and escape being the guy friend。Despite being cliche, the author executed some the scenes refreshingly that sends me to a fit of laughters。 Although sometimes some chapters can be cringy and make me feel the second-hand embarassment for the characters。As typical as the plot was first presented, the typical 'become feminine' and 'male lead is so dense he can't sense it even if it was explicitly expressed'。 However, what I do like is the tidbits in the past where it fits the puzzles of whys in the future that's in the end you'll just say 'oh, that's why'。Side characters in this manga was well made, that sometimes they outshine the main characters。 The manipulative Misuzu-chan and airheaded Carol complemented the main characters。 Without them, the manga wil be so bland it'll come off as boring。 Definitely recommended to read for those who are new in manga。 Each page are usually divided into four panels making it easy for the reader to keep track of the conversation instead of the usual manga。 。。。more

Great character dynamics and absolutely hilarious。 My only issue is the need to be more feminine for male attention。 But it's critiqued later on in the series。 Great character dynamics and absolutely hilarious。 My only issue is the need to be more feminine for male attention。 But it's critiqued later on in the series。 。。。more

I think I'm not the only one who will scream about how refreshing this manga is。 Usually in comics and manga there is a troupe about how the best friend of the mc is not seen as a "man," but rather as a little brother or friend。 This, however, flips the troupe around and expresses the frustration from the perspective of a girl whose best friend just views her as one of the bros, to the point where he's oblivious she's a female at all in some points。Honestly, the manga is full of enjoyable moment I think I'm not the only one who will scream about how refreshing this manga is。 Usually in comics and manga there is a troupe about how the best friend of the mc is not seen as a "man," but rather as a little brother or friend。 This, however, flips the troupe around and expresses the frustration from the perspective of a girl whose best friend just views her as one of the bros, to the point where he's oblivious she's a female at all in some points。Honestly, the manga is full of enjoyable moments and laughs, and I can't wait to see where it continues。 。。。more

This is a very loose review of the first two volumes。The most endearing romantic comedy manga that I have read in recent memory。 It doesn't go the high-concept route (if you can call it that) of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, but it has a very well rounded cast of lovable idiots。 As the main character we have the titular girl, an extraordinarily strong tomboy who makes regular girls confused about their sexuality, and most men wonder if she's just a guy with boobs。 She wants to go out with the second This is a very loose review of the first two volumes。The most endearing romantic comedy manga that I have read in recent memory。 It doesn't go the high-concept route (if you can call it that) of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, but it has a very well rounded cast of lovable idiots。 As the main character we have the titular girl, an extraordinarily strong tomboy who makes regular girls confused about their sexuality, and most men wonder if she's just a guy with boobs。 She wants to go out with the second main character, a tough guy into any physical activity, who grew up with the titular girl but never treated her as a female。 As they wake up to their sexual urges, the guy starts wanting to get closer to her subconsciously, while refusing to admit to himself consciously that she's anything but a guy-like childhood friend。 Meanwhile, the girl seeks help to break that dynamic, but she keeps sabotaging herself as she's uncomfortable with romance and girly things。We also have two memorable secondary characters: a raven-haired, aloof girl who acts as the main girl's confidant, but whose dislike for intimate relationships keeps pushing her to the sidelines; a doll-like, blonde British girl who serves as the Chika Fujiwara of this series, except that this one lacks the malice。 As for characters with less "screen time", the best ones are a couple of popular girls, one of them a gyaru, who initially approach the protagonist because they see her as a romantic rival, only to realize that they attempted to antagonize someone who would send them to the hospital。 Even after the protagonist starts acting friendlier with them, they remain terrified。 At some point the dynamic slides into them getting sexually confused because the tall, tough, protective protagonist ought to have a penis。The author has a great sense of comedy, and the interactions between all the characters flow well。 I'm reading the rest of this series, and I hope they make an anime adaptation some day。 。。。more

Fun relationship book about two friends who may or may not be attracted to each other and the issues of one of them being a tomboy and the other only seeing her as one of the guys。

Loved it, absolutely。 Their relationship and how much they have grown together, so cuteee。 Hope they turn it into an anime sometime but absolutely enjoyed it。 Read all of the volumes。

She has a crush on her childhood friend, but even when she confesses, he Just Doesn't Get It。 "Love you, too, bro!" He's always thought of her as a guy。 Situational comedy in a high school setting。 Very much a story in bits and pieces since it's a four-panel comic。 She has a crush on her childhood friend, but even when she confesses, he Just Doesn't Get It。 "Love you, too, bro!" I don't normally write reviews on here for the mangas I read, because I don't normally read the official translations。 I adore this manga and decided to give a physical copy a go!It's genuinely hilarious, with characters that have great depth and development。 It tricks you into thinking it's simply a gag manga, then it catches you with heartfelt situations and dialogue。 I've read it twice all the way through on a scanlation site, and now I decided to read the manga again in an official sense。 I I don't normally write reviews on here for the mangas I read, because I don't normally read the official translations。 I adore this manga and decided to give a physical copy a go!It's genuinely hilarious, with characters that have great depth and development。 It tricks you into thinking it's simply a gag manga, then it catches you with heartfelt situations and dialogue。 I've read it twice all the way through on a scanlation site, and now I decided to read the manga again in an official sense。 I should probably support manga authors more, particularly the writers of my favorites! 。。。more

Fun four-koma manga! Just a warning though, it's really slow-burn so people with little patience for developing romances might get irritated。 It's a really feel-good read that makes you a bit nostalgic for highschool if you already graduated。 I'm a fan of the art style, and the more into it you get the more funny the jokes become, since the humor is built off an understanding of the characters。 I found that I could relate to Tomo's friend Misuzu more than Tomo herself because Tomo is a bit thick Fun four-koma manga! Honestly I can't tell you how much I began to grow bored of this 4-koma 1 page comic after reading 435 chapters。 All it's about is dimwitted lad called Jun who isn't just bothered by his childhood friend Tomos confession just because she ain't "girly enough" to make him self aware that she is in fact, the opposite sex。 Literally gender labelling involved in this manga is just a joke。 It's like I feel the characters surrounding Tomo just can't accept for who she is。 I have to give credit tho that Honestly I can't tell you how much I began to grow bored of this 4-koma 1 page comic after reading 435 chapters。 All it's about is dimwitted lad called Jun who isn't just bothered by his childhood friend Tomos confession just because she ain't "girly enough" to make him self aware that she is in fact, the opposite sex。 Literally gender labelling involved in this manga is just a joke。 It's like I feel the characters surrounding Tomo just can't accept for who she is。 I have to give credit tho that she does stand up for herself whenever any character pisses her off。 I really thought this long manga series was going to change my mind as the comic went on, of course it didn't。 It gave me the waiting game to when both characters finally admit they love one another。 Bro。。。945 chapters is too much to find out and rather too little too late in my personal opinion。 I just don't care anymore what happens at the end of it, I literally give up! 。。。more

3,5 ⭐It was fun。 Drawings are cool and I laughed quite a bit。 My biggest peeve would be Carol Olston, I just didn't like her at all。 Plus, I feel like I needed more of Tomo and Misuzu's friendship because they're low-key GOALS for me。 3,5 ⭐It was fun。 Drawings are cool and I laughed quite a bit。 My biggest peeve would be Carol Olston, I just didn't like her at all。 Plus, I feel like I needed more of Tomo and Misuzu's friendship because they're low-key GOALS for me。 。。。more

Probably three and a half stars。 Amusing yonkoma comedy series in which a tomboy tries to find love。 To o is very boyish and tough, but is in love with her childhood friend, who sees her as one of the guys。 Characters are usually just caricatures, but the art is decent, the gags are funny, and the story isn’t as glacial as a lot of Japanese romcoms can be。 Charming。

I absolutely love this。Tomo is super cute。 I always fall hard for tomboys。 Always have, probably always will。 But it doesn't mean I don't like the various。。。 accoutrements。。。 of the female body。 Like Tomo-chan, pretty much all the girls I've been with were top heavy。 Heck pretty much every girl I've been with has short hair, knows how to fight, doesn't like "girly" things, and most have never worn make-up。 I think a girl who has natural beauty shouldn't sully her looks with clown makeup。 I like I absolutely love this。Tomo is super cute。 I always fall hard for tomboys。 Always have, probably always will。 But it doesn't mean I don't like the various。。。 accoutrements。。。 of the female body。 Like Tomo-chan, pretty much all the girls I've been with were top heavy。 Heck pretty much every girl I've been with has short hair, knows how to fight, doesn't like "girly" things, and most have never worn make-up。 I think a girl who has natural beauty shouldn't sully her looks with clown makeup。 I like my girls cute, tough, large-chested, rough, & not a sissy。 Tomo seems like that kind of gal。 You men out there, listen up! There's an old song that goes "Make an ugly woman your wife, and you'll be happy for the rest of your life。" If I could be so bold as to change it, to this, "Make a tomboy your wife, & you will be in Heaven the rest of your life" Jun is a total fool (or is he。。。?) For not seeing the sweet, sexy, loyal, & tough-as-nail gal that literally hangs on him (I have my doubts, I suspect there's more going on in Jun's head then we are being shown)。。。 time will tell。 Art, kind of rough, but it fits well。 Dialogue, excellent。 Very real。 Characters, believable, likeable, relatable。 。。。more

You'll love this if typical shojou manga tropes are what you're into。 This is about a teen girl who loves competition, fighting, sports, and other things of the sort。 She's very pretty but because of the way she dresses and her personality she's often confused for a guy。 🤷‍♀️ she also happens to have a crush on her guy best friend。 She confesses and it kind of back fires。 Not giving up after her failed attempt she vows to make her bff see her as a woman!I like the main female lead。 I had a crus You'll love this if typical shojou manga tropes are what you're into。 This is about a teen girl who loves competition, fighting, sports, and other things of the sort。 She's very pretty but because of the way she dresses and her personality she's often confused for a guy。 🤷‍♀️ she also happens to have a crush on her guy best friend。 She confesses and it kind of back fires。 Not giving up after her failed attempt she vows to make her bff see her as a woman!I like the main female lead。 I had a crush on her by the end of this series。 I would have probably given this a higher rating if the main guy wasn't so dense。 Or if one of my most hated shojou manga tropes wasn't used。 (The accidental kiss\boob grab\PDA with another random girl that isn't the main girl happens。 🙄) Or if more of the actual relationship was explored and not just the getting there part。 。。。more
