➳ Very cute! Except for the snake。

Brendan

We avoided the page with the snake because those things are scary。

Jacqueline Verrue

I enjoyed this book and liked the rhymes。 I think children would love being read this book before bed。

Emily

Repeated phrases and rhyming couplets make this a soothing and almost hypnotic bedtime book。 We see lots of cute baby animals being put to bed by their parents along the way, ending with a cherubic blonde human child。 Almost saccharine, but might do the trick to coax little ones to sleep。 One line that made me uncomfortable was on the little foal page: "I'll whisper a secret, but don't tell a soul。" Not a usual bedtime routine, and asking kids not to tell secrets has some abusive baggage surroun Repeated phrases and rhyming couplets make this a soothing and almost hypnotic bedtime book。 We see lots of cute baby animals being put to bed by their parents along the way, ending with a cherubic blonde human child。 Almost saccharine, but might do the trick to coax little ones to sleep。 One line that made me uncomfortable was on the little foal page: "I'll whisper a secret, but don't tell a soul。" Not a usual bedtime routine, and asking kids not to tell secrets has some abusive baggage surrounding it。 I'd skip that spread in a public retelling。 。。。more

This is a classic bedtime story。 A perfectly peaceful cadence combined with dreamy, flowing illustrations that you want to reach out and touch。 Animal parents put their babies to bed, with each highlighting a sweet part of the bedtime ritual (asking about your day, having a kiss, snuggling, being tucked in)。

Lauren

It was OK。 Illustrations were sweet, but didn't really like the style。 Nice cadence, but went on a little too long for bedtime。 It was OK。 Illustrations were sweet, but didn't really like the style。 Nice cadence, but went on a little too long for bedtime。 。。。more

Best bedtime story ever!

📚Linda Blake

The rhythm and words in Time for Bed creates a quiet setting for sleep。

KaitandMaddie

Kait’s favourite part was where the mom cat said go to bed kitten。 The baby animals were all so cute。 It was sweet and quick。

Kristen

Beautiful text and lovely, detailed illustrations。

Kelly Woznik

What a great book

For: animal lovers; readers looking for a sweet bedtime book。Possible red flags: lots of questions that could keep a little one engaged/awake。

Nice night night story。

This was gifted to us。 Once upon a time, we used to read this book and Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy by Lynley Dodd just before bed。 Every。 Night。 Eventually, I worked out the preschooler had learnt both books by heart! These books will always have a place on our bookshelf because of these memories。 This was gifted to us。 Once upon a time, we used to read this book and Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy by Lynley Dodd just before bed。 Every。 Night。 Eventually, I worked out the preschooler had learnt both books by heart! This is a great read aloud when getting ready for bed。 It shows how different animal families do the same as we humans do。 Which is snuggling, getting tight and comfy for bed。 It includes rhymes which are great for word alliteration。 It reminds me of my children and our nightly routine。 We get ready for bed similar to the animal families in this book。

Sandy

A perfect book for the bedtime book rotation。 We did not discover this book until my kids were past the "same book every night" stage。 But, I'm sure if we had had it earlier, it would have been。 A perfect book for the bedtime book rotation。 We did not discover this book until my kids were past the "same book every night" stage。 But, I'm sure if we had had it earlier, it would have been。 。。。more

Dallin Christensen

My parents used to read this to me before bed and now I read the same copy of it to Dallin。 I see the appeal, the cadence of the story even had me yawning by the end。 A perfect bedtime primer。

This is a beautiful book。 I truly love the artwork in it。 After reading the book for several weeks straight, we eventually memorized it and recite it to this day as we're getting the kids ready for bed every night。 It's a great book。 This is a beautiful book。 I truly love the artwork in it。 After reading the book for several weeks straight, we eventually memorized it and recite it to this day as we're getting the kids ready for bed every night。 It's a great book。 。。。more

Elliot's Mama

We read a lot of books about animals, since he’s really into them, so this is a sweet one to imitate animal noises quietly as each baby animal is resisting sleep。 I love how realistic the illustrations are, which helps Elliot recognize the animals easily。 We started reading it around 9 months old and he liked it, but now at 15 months old, he loves it and requests it often

Miya

My little one luvs this book。 Read it every night and recite it every other time。

Dana

“Cheating” and adding all of our favourite baby books to complete my 2020 challenge。 I have read these enough to equal 100 books 😆

Laurie

Surprisingly good。 Different baby animals on each page。 Features Wheatens on the dog page!

Jen

3 1/2-4 stars。 This book is perfect as a board book: not a lot of substance or story, not too wordy, just some enjoyable rhyming and an excuse to cuddle before bed。

Aarvik

Aarvik read this book in his daycare after discussing how they sometimes get sleepy when it's time for bed。On January 28 during circle time:"We started off group time with our good morning songs。 We identified the weather outside with our weather song and sang our ABC's。 We did our letter name recognition activity and read our book "Time For Bed" and talked about all the night time animals in the book。 We finalized our group time singing more songs that enhance our math skills。" Aarvik read this book in his daycare after discussing how they sometimes get sleepy when it's time for bed。On January 28 during circle time:"We started off group time with our good morning songs。 We identified the weather outside with our weather song and sang our ABC's。 We did our letter name recognition activity and read our book "Time For Bed" and talked about all the night time animals in the book。 We finalized our group time singing more songs that enhance our math skills。" 。。。more

This is another favorite in our house。 My daughter enjoyed it but my little boy loves it more。 It so cute to see him say “moo” and “buzz” at the different parts of the book。 I think because of this book, I like to think of my children as “little mouse” or “little pup”。 We like to point out the babies and the mamas/dadas。 It’s a very tender book and puts me in a snuggly mood for the night。

Stacey

Adorable bedtime book。 The illustrations are cute - different animals and their babies。 My husband and I love the different animals getting ready for sleep。 My favorite is the snake one! Gets my little guy to giggle now when we get to that part。 Great addition to any bedtime routine。 **I put when I finished the book to today since we read it every night to my son。

Kate

This is a cute children’s picture book about little animals going to sleep around the world。
