I…。 Didn’t love this one as much as the first two。 It was still good, it was fun and interesting。But the plot got a bit murky and things got a bit messy。 Like there was so much information at once that I felt a bit overwhelmed。 And towards the end… underwhelmed。The last chapter… epilogue? Was sad and then confusing。 Was I the only one that thought, WHY 3 YEARS???!I was left with TONS of questions by the end, a lot of: hows and whys, but in the end… it’s a HEA, so it’s fine, that’s all that matte I…。 Didn’t love this one as much as the first two。 It was still good, it was fun and interesting。But the plot got a bit murky and things got a bit messy。 Like there was so much information at once that I felt a bit overwhelmed。 And towards the end… underwhelmed。The last chapter… epilogue? I really enjoyed this finale。 These characters are so full。 It's definitely YA, but as long as you go in knowing that, I think it's a great time - full of humor and heart。 I really enjoyed this finale。 These characters are so full。 It's definitely YA, but as long as you go in knowing that, I think it's a great time - full of humor and heart。 。。。more

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series。 The end had me in tears。 Highly recommend the whole series of you want a strong female lead that has a mind of her own, is sassy, has some good sword skills, and and really good self discovery arch。 Not to mention an amazing group of characters, Malachite being my favourite。

this book (series) destroyed me but i wouldn’t have it any other way。 i’m already missing it, the characters, the interactions, the world。 this book series will forever have a place in my heart and be something i will revisit again and again。 but all good things must come to an end (or should i say beginning 👀), and what will i do now? live。 I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, READ THIS SERIES!!ps- i’ve also never cried this much at a book before—i’m balling my eyes out while writing this!

And we got to meet his grandfather in ghost/soul form。 And the scenes with Malachite were so hilarious。 This book had me laughing so much。I absolutely loved that the author basically had Zera and Lucien get immediately together。 I don't know if I could have handled another book where they were back and forth。 😅One thing that upset me was when Lucien offered Zera her heart。 It was finally right there in front of her。。。。 And she didn't take it!!!! *Wtf?!* Wasn't that what it was all about in the first two books?! She did all of that just for her heart back, and then it's finally in front of her and Nope。But, I get it。。。 She wanted to use her immortality to help her friends and the world。 ❤️Okay, the reason this is my least favorite book is。。。 what was that epilogue?!! Where was she for three freaking years?! Why isn't that explained? Where was she? How did she really survive? Why did she choose three years later to show up? I found it really annoying that all we got was, "I remembered you loved me。" If I was Luc I would have been like, "Uh okay? I love you too but B*TCH, the f*ck have you been?!" 😅I loved the happy ending though。 That everyone of the main characters got one。 And I found it so so so cute that Fione and Varia named their child after Zera。 How adorable! It was a little confusing to me that this was decided before Varia got the Bone Tree though? 🤔 Wasn't Fione mad at Zera at the time? And didn't Varia not like her? It didn't make sense, but still cute。I loved this trilogy so much。 And I loved Zera and all of the characters。 I'm sad to see it end。 But I'm so happy to have read it! 。。。more

Man this one was a real heart-wrencher。 (Admittedly it’s been a while since I’ve gotten so invested in a cast of characters)。Honestly, all the thoughts I had after reading the book have all but disappeared。 Plot-wise this book knocked so many of its YA predecessors out of the park。 I can’t even begin to explain the plot because so much happened。 It was a nice break from the primarily emotional appeal from book 2。 (Although, that ‘emotional appeal’ was probably meant to be self-discovery)。I can’t Man this one was a real heart-wrencher。 (Admittedly it’s been a while since I’ve gotten so invested in a cast of characters)。Honestly, all the thoughts I had after reading the book have all but disappeared。 Plot-wise this book knocked so many of its YA predecessors out of the park。 I can’t even begin to explain the plot because so much happened。 It was a nice break from the primarily emotional appeal from book 2。 (Although, that ‘emotional appeal’ was probably meant to be self-discovery)。I can’t even complain since I got the ending I wanted。 Although, Wolf really had me there for a solid five minutes。 But that’s right about where things fall apart。 I mean I had a pretty difficult time grasping the lore in this one。 (Could’ve been the lack of sleep or the abundance of background - we’ll never know)。 But I liked that for the most part it felt like the info wasn’t an info dump, but somehow just woven in (either in dreams, dialogue or her inner monologue)。 However, even the weaving in of the background info stilled at the end。 To be honest, the ending doesn’t make the most sense if you start asking the how’s and why’s。 But if ignorance is the price I as the reader pay for the ending I want, I’ll gladly pay it。 (Man that sounded much more dramatic than I had wanted it to - much like a lot of or MCs inner monologue)。 Overall, great book, great series。 Loved the characters and especially the world building。 (I am very glad I decided to reread book one to finish the series)。 。。。more

The last book has become more thrilling than the first and second one。 The gang is out in the world trying to find a solution or anyone who will be willing to help them out to stop Prince Lucien's sister from destroying their world in pursuit of peace, little did she know that instead of getting the control the marvelous power that Varia have gotten from book two and been searching for the past 5 years, the power is now controlling her and trying to destroy everything and everyone。 “Be wary always of bards who sing about beautiful war。Because it’s nothing but pain, and death, and horrible, horrible disfigurement”Its such a heart wrenching book, to be hungry for peace only to lost your sanity from it。 As their adventure for finding solutions the friendship and love the gang for each other grows! There is less battle unfortunately for me, they are more into searching/finding ways to stop Varia and save her but that doesnt mean the book is less entertaining。 I still found myself wont able to put it down mainly because of how well written every characters is! I also wanna talk about my main girl Zera。 She is amazing! Reminds me so much of Aelin。 She is loud mouthed, confident, have this amazing and outgoing personality, could literally make friends with any beings and so so sacrificial! I love love her character development and no matter how much pain and death she goes through im so happy that her attitude and jokes never ever changed。Im still in awe with the found family thing in this book, it was just so beautiful。 And I kid you not the author played me beautifully when i thought one character is forever gone。 Im ugly cried myself during those last few pages。Overall it was such an amazing read! I've got to see more about the witch's land, the stakes is higher and they are literally grappling for the happiness that keeps slipping through their fingers! I have enjoyed this so much more than the first 2 books! Rating it 5 stars! 。。。more

Honestly this series is such a comfort read regardless of some of the complaints I had。 One standout issue I had was the pacing。 This book felt drawn out when it wasn't necessary and slogged in multiple areas。 Maybe the author either could have cut down on those scenes or added some more action or intrigue to keep the story moving。 Nonetheless, this book and this series is one that brings such comfort, ease, and peace when I needed it。 Honestly this series is such a comfort read regardless of some of the complaints I had。 One standout issue I had was the pacing。 This book felt drawn out when it wasn't necessary and slogged in multiple areas。 Maybe the author either could have cut down on those scenes or added some more action or intrigue to keep the story moving。 Nonetheless, this book and this series is one that brings such comfort, ease, and peace when I needed it。 。。。more

the pacing makes this book a bit long for me but overall it’s the best one out of the series, i love the adventures, and the dynamics of the characters that were lacking in book 2although the epilogue makes me want more answers, it was a good ending, i’m happy to see everyone together 🥺

It's genuinely difficult for me to tell if this series got progressively worse, or if my patience for its faults got thinner and thinner across the three novels, but one of those things definitely happened, and that doesn't speak well for the series as a whole。 The grand finale of Sara Wolf's fantasy/romance trilogy Bring Me Their Hearts, Send Me Their Souls dramatically broadens the scope and scale of the story and suffers all the more for it。 I have to admit that I am definitely not the targe It's genuinely difficult for me to tell if this series got progressively worse, or if my patience for its faults got thinner and thinner across the three novels, but one of those things definitely happened, and that doesn't speak well for the series as a whole。 The grand finale of Sara Wolf's fantasy/romance trilogy Bring Me Their Hearts, Send Me Their Souls dramatically broadens the scope and scale of the story and suffers all the more for it。 I have to admit that I am definitely not the target audience for these books or the genre as a whole, but whoever that target is deserves books that are more respecting of their intelligence。 To say the plot takes place immediately after the events of Find Me Their Bones undersells the author's apparent habit of ending books halfway through their climax (and calling it a cliffhanger) and immediately resuming these climaxes in the next book as if the paragraph hadn't even ended - the same as she did between the first two entries。 Dangling the carrot on the stick is important when stringing books together, of course, but doing so by completely cutting out the denouement just means you don't know how to do it otherwise。 The heroine of the trilogy, Zera, has managed to free her heart from the control of evil witch Varia, and instead it is now under the control of the good witch, Prince Lucien, her love interest and Varia's sister。 However, Varia was not defeated and is now merged with a bone tree, which with a glass tree, make up the source of all magic and creation。 Varia, through the bone tree which controls all valkerax (just substitute this word directly for "dragons") is now waging war across all the lands and kingdoms of the world as well as those of the dark below。 Zera's task is then to not just defeat Varia, but also to find a way to save her in the process given that she is Lucien's sister, as well as the love interest of her best friend。For a young adult fantasy book, this plot may all sound perfectly fine, and certainly the core struggle between the main characters Zera, Lucien, Varia, and the rest of her friends works well enough。 Where Send Me Their Souls misses the mark entirely, is with its sudden interest in lore and worldbuilding that didn't really exist in the first two entries, nor did it need to as it kept the struggles in those books much more intimate。 With the scale opened so far up, however, we're suddenly asked to care about all these cities and kingdoms we've never heard of before and we're expected to keep up with a sloppy magic system that has never been too clearly defined。 If these elements had been built up across the first two books, then we'd have no problems here, but instead trying to act like these civilizations have hundreds or thousands of years of culture and histories beyond the edges of the page by cramming this information into the very short gaps between romantic character development just FEELS like the author is trying to cram this information into the very short gaps between romantic character development。The heart of the story, the relationship between Zera and Lucien, is the strongest part of the book。 It's unfortunate for me that this is the aspect that least interests me, but is good news for readers who are looking for a romance that happens to have a fantasy story layered around it。 The dialogue is still absolutely stilted and awful, but the fact that their relationship, and the ultimate resolution thereof, still feels like it works in spite of this is the best kudos I can give。 In Bring Me Their Hearts and Find Me Their Bones, the looseness of the magic or worldbuilding didn't get in the way because the characters never overstepped the boundaries of their immediate surroundings。 I feel like a similar structure to this book could have still resulted in the exact same finale without trying to make the story seem bigger than it really is。 。。。more
