Summary

Ahoy, muties — the X-Men sail at dawn! A glorious new mutant era has begun on Krakoa, but some nations are preventing mutants from escaping to their promised homeland。 Which is where Captain Kate Pryde and her seafaring allies come in! Funded by Emma Frost and the Hellfire Trading Company, Kate and her crew of Storm, Pyro, Bishop and Iceman sail the seven seas as the Marauders, rescuing mutants in need! But the real cutthroats are back home in the Hellfire Club’s Inner Circle, where Sebastian Shaw has recruited a new Black Bishop to aid in his machinations against the Club’s two queens。 A life on the ocean waves involves clashes with the anti-mutant Verendi, the size-changing pest Yellowjacket and more! But when tragedy strikes the Marauders, Krakoa will be reeling from an unthinkable — and perhaps insurmountable — death!

The Marauders is a decent comic, though I'd probably give it 3。5。 Instead of a 4, but I rounded it up instead of down。For context, mutants have an island nation, and the marauders travel the world rescuing mutants whose country won't let them flee。 It's a nice premise, but the book is more interested in big multi issue stories rather than once off missions, which I'd have liked to see more of。Emma Frost continues to be the most dynamic X character, and Duggen knows exactly how to use her。 Her re The Marauders is a decent comic, though I'd probably give it 3。5。 Instead of a 4, but I rounded it up instead of down。For context, mutants have an island nation, and the marauders travel the world rescuing mutants whose country won't let them flee。 It's a nice premise, but the book is more interested in big multi issue stories rather than once off missions, which I'd have liked to see more of。Emma Frost continues to be the most dynamic X character, and Duggen knows exactly how to use her。 Her relationship with Kitty (wait, no, Kate!) is the highlight of the book, and shows how far both of them have come over the years。 Kate makes a great leader, though it's odd seeing her lead a team with Ororo on it。 Some of the plots get a bit muddy, which is a trend with some of the Krakoa line, but I think this is the most coherent series so far; story wise at least。 There are a few rotating artists, but they all do a nice job。I do feel Kurt should be on this team。 His Way of X stuff is very good, but all his best X buddies are manning a rescue ship。 Its weird that he isn't a part of it。 It's also really gay。 Really really gay。 So that's awesome 👌 。。。more
