Summary

Kasumi and Kyousuke are polar opposites when it comes to personality。 Kasumi is reserved, soft-spoken and shy; Kyousuke is energetic and has always been popular among their peers。 As the saying goes though, opposites have a tendency to attract, and these two have been fast friends since elementary school。 To Kasumi, Kyousuke has always been a hero to look up to, someone who supports him and saves him from the bullies。 But now, school is over; their relationship suddenly becomes a lot less simple to describe。 Facing the world — and one another — as adults, both men find there are things they struggle to say out loud, even to each other。

Really sweet one off story。 Some scenes that are probably too pornographic for anyone under 18。 But all in all I enjoyed this story!

Really liked it。 Read in one sitting。-Kasumi (my favorite) and Kyousuke are wonderful and flawed and complex and I loved them。 Their character designs are so good (Kasumi!!!)。 -The art is so, so pretty that I want to buy my own copy of the manga, but it's quite explicit at times so I'm gonna have to think on it haha ^_^' Having to explain that one。。。-Plot wasn't my favorite because it's an angsty, character-driven romance drama。 A little slow and somber for my taste。 Not the manga's fault。 With Really liked it。 Read in one sitting。-Kasumi (my favorite) and Kyousuke are wonderful and flawed and complex and I loved them。 Their character designs are so good (Kasumi!!!)。 -The art is so, so pretty that I want to buy my own copy of the manga, but it's quite explicit at times so I'm gonna have to think on it haha ^_^' Having to explain that one。。。-Plot wasn't my favorite because it's an angsty, character-driven romance drama。 A little slow and somber for my taste。 Not the manga's fault。 With that said, I do love the friends-to-lovers trope and it played with my emotions enough。 I had a fun time overall。 。。。more

A sweet, angsty love story about mutual pining, miscommunication and internalised homophobia。 Although it wasn't particularly groundbreaking, I liked the characters and art-style and really enjoyed reading this。 A sweet, angsty love story about mutual pining, miscommunication and internalised homophobia。 Although it wasn't particularly groundbreaking, I liked the characters and art-style and really enjoyed reading this。 。。。more

Two damaged dudes have loved each other since childhood, hurt each other, get it on, then hurt each other again, cry together, confess their love and then get it on again… but at least the art is beautiful!!!!I really feel like the story could’ve meant more to me if it were longer。 I cared but not enough?? This is why I usually steer clear of one shots。

Sweet story about two guys who love each other but constantly convince themselves that either their own feelings or the feelings of the other aren't real and thus go back and forth several times before understanding the other one is for real。Kyosuke and Kasumi are twenty-somethings who have met again after time apart due to university and such。 Kyosuke has always been good at school and now at work and is liked by everyone。 Kasumi is more withdrawn and has low self-esteem because his father kept Sweet story about two guys who love each other but constantly convince themselves that either their own feelings or the feelings of the other aren't real and thus go back and forth several times before understanding the other one is for real。Kyosuke and Kasumi are twenty-somethings who have met again after time apart due to university and such。 Kyosuke has always been good at school and now at work and is liked by everyone。 Kasumi is more withdrawn and has low self-esteem because his father kept saying he's not wanted or worthy of anything。Kyosuke is hopelessly in love with Kasumi who has an affair with a married woman。 Turns out though that neither Kasumi nor Yuriko, the married woman, are in it because they want to be with the other, it's just something to take their minds and hearts away from their real feelings to other people。 In Kasumi's case, Kyosuke。 He confessed his feelings to Kyosuke back when they were in school but Kyosuke rejected him at the time because, of course, he has issues too。So, they have to sort out both their internal trouble and their relationship and throughout the book the go up and down with them。 This one-shot was well paced, it had well over 200 pages, so it had good time to tell both about their present lives and what happened in the past。 It also built the characters nicely, especially Kyosuke whose work life was featured quite a lot too。Art is all right, not spectacular but looks nice enough。 。。。more

3 stars ✨Starting with the art which was pretty good and the plot which was pretty meh。 I loved how the story explored their relationship right from starting and dived deep into each of their characters and personalities but there relationship for me was a major turn off。Kasumi need to get his mind straight as to what he want。 His actions confused me a lot many times。At times cute at times confusing perfect for a light read。💜

This was nice。 I like the opposites attract couple。 The sexy times were good。 The plot tugged at my heart strings。 I think the emotional moments could’ve pulled more and the ending fell a little flat to me。 However, I enjoyed it。 4/5。Amazon recommended me this after I picked up I hear sunspots。 Great rec。

This was a naughty pleasure of mine to read。 I was surprised about the content of the book but I still enjoyed this manga! I mean if you really want to see some naughty stuff between two boys I would tell you to read it but it also talks about important topics like coming to terms with your sexuality and not caring about what others think of you even though you were raised to think that everything is just black and white。

There Are Things I Can't Tell You is a story about two childhood best friends who have opposite personalities, with different outlooks on life, and different paths in life。 But at the end of the day, they're both so totally in love with each other but too scared to say anything。 For such a short piece of work, it packs such a punch in your emotions and really immerses you into their story。 It's so beautifully written and it's absolutely beautiful to look at。 There Are Things I Can't Tell You is a story about two childhood best friends who have opposite personalities, with different outlooks on life, and different paths in life。 But at the end of the day, they're both so totally in love with each other but too scared to say anything。 For such a short piece of work, it packs such a punch in your emotions and really immerses you into their story。 It's so beautifully written and it's absolutely beautiful to look at。 。。。more

CW: Thoughts of suicide, Depression, Cheating with a Married woman, This was such a beautiful story。 We follow two young men as they navigate their rocky relationship。 They're total opposites and that brings them drawn to one another even more。 Kasumi is reserved and soft spoken, while Kyousuke is more outgoing and popular。 Kasumi has been pining for Kyousuke for years, but because they're still questioning who they are, it's hard to be together。 I loved this so much。 The characters were nuanced CW: Thoughts of suicide, Depression, Cheating with a Married woman, This was such a beautiful story。 We follow two young men as they navigate their rocky relationship。 They're total opposites and that brings them drawn to one another even more。 Kasumi is reserved and soft spoken, while Kyousuke is more outgoing and popular。 Kasumi has been pining for Kyousuke for years, but because they're still questioning who they are, it's hard to be together。 I loved this so much。 The characters were nuanced and realistic in a way I wasn't expecting。 My emotions were put through the ringer with this one! I thought the main story was cute, but it wrapped up on a kind of weird pace? It felt a little jerky。

I don't say this often, so it's hard for people to know, but I just love BL fiction! And the yaoi genre。。。 well, let's just say I'm not calling myself a fujoshi for shits and giggles! This was a beautiful and wholesome story, and it had it all。 Drama, and cute romance, and, well, the appropriate steamy scenes。 But most of all, it had the heartbreak and the inevitable make-up between the two protagonists to mend their hearts - and ours。It's hard not to sympathize with Kasumi and Kyousuke。 Each has I don't say this often, so it's hard for people to know, but I just love BL fiction! Kasumi was a bit annoying at CERTAIN scenes, but then, I suppose he earned it。 I mean, ukes ALWAYS have to be stubborn about the relationship and make it even harder in these stories, it's kinda like their thing, their stereotype, if you will。。。 Oh, well, at least Kyousuke got over his past and everything worked out - I do love a happy ending in such romances!***I was given an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 The opinion stated in this review is solely mine, and no compensation was given or taken to alter it。***Read this and other reviews at: http://cupcakesandpopcorn。wordpress。com 。。。more
