Not really interesting in my opinion。 A pain to read with class stuff to add on。

Nishtha

I read this in school and it is mostly about a gang and it is fun to read。

Dana

Reread to keep up with current class。 Still a great story。 I still get a little bogged down with some repeated themes。

This book is awesome!! This was my second time reading this book。 This book will always be on of my favorites!

I first read this book in grade 7 with my class, and I always looked back on it with fond memories。 So, when re-reading it I tried my best to clear my mind and go in without any bias。 And when I say that I DEMOLISHED this book is an understatement。 This book was so beautiful。 I will cherish it forever。 Ponyboy is one of the best characters I've experienced。 I first read this book in grade 7 with my class, and I always looked back on it with fond memories。 So, when re-reading it I tried my best to clear my mind and go in without any bias。 And when I say that I DEMOLISHED this book is an understatement。 This book was so beautiful。 I will cherish it forever。 Ponyboy is one of the best characters I've experienced。 。。。more

I had to do a project where we basically had to make a missing poster for pony boy and everyone made fun of mine because I had used a picture that was edited to cover his eyes and they were like “oh fatima that’s so stupid why would you use that you’re not trying to hide his identity we’re trying to find him” and so on。 I did it for the aesthetic and I stand by that。 The movie was really good too!

my comfort book。 i love this book so so so much i can’t even put words on it。 i just love the universe and the characters so much and i just want to live in that book。 that book has taught me many things and has made both laugh and cry at the same time。 i have the biggest crush on dallas winston but that’s understandable。 i could read this book or watch the movie a thousand times and never get tired of it。 i just love it so much omg。

The psychological portrayal of each of the characters was so vivid and realistic。 By the end of the story, I have taken each of the greasers to my heart — especially Johnny and the Curtis brothers。ExcerptNature's first green is gold,Her hardest hue to hold。Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour。Then leaf subsides to leaf。So Eden sank to grief,So dawn goes down to day。Nothing gold can stay。 — Robert Frost"I've been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote it, he meant you're g The psychological portrayal of each of the characters was so vivid and realistic。 By the end of the story, I have taken each of the greasers to my heart — especially Johnny and the Curtis brothers。ExcerptNature's first green is gold,Her hardest hue to hold。Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour。Then leaf subsides to leaf。So Eden sank to grief,So dawn goes down to day。Nothing gold can stay。 — Robert Frost"I've been thinking about it, and that poem, that guy that wrote it, he meant you're gold when you're a kid, like green。 When you're a kid everything's new, dawn。 It's just when you get used to everything that it's day。 Like the way you dig sunsets, Pony。 That's gold。 Keep that way, it's a good way to be。" — Johnny 。。。more

This book was one of the best I have ever read in my life。 We read it in school, and I couldn't wait for fourth period so that we could read another chapter。 It is full of heartbreak, adventure, and the thrill of what will come next。 This a great book, and the only thing I will say is that it does have some swearing。 This book was one of the best I have ever read in my life。 We read it in school, and I couldn't wait for fourth period so that we could read another chapter。 It is full of heartbreak, adventure, and the thrill of what will come next。 This a great book, and the only thing I will say is that it does have some swearing。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book because it showed real world problems that people face that could be happening to people around us。 It also showed that people are not alone in the way that they feel, because the characters faced many hardships。 Lastly, a theme in the book was friendship, and that is very important to me。

This is a great book!!!!!!! I loved the story and plot。 We read it at school and I had never read it before so it was a surprise that it was Ponyboy retelling his essay! I recommend this!

I think that it was a good book overall。 I liked seeing how the rich and poor were fighting against each other。 I think it's a good book and would recommend to anyone that likes a lot of action。 I think that it was a good book overall。 I liked seeing how the rich and poor were fighting against each other。 I think it's a good book and would recommend to anyone that likes a lot of action。 。。。more

Without a shred of doubt, the writer achieved the goal of making readers sympathize and understand all those who were involved, as opposed to preferring one over another。 There are no true heroes nor evildoers, only those who grew up in different environments, each facing their own struggles and each enjoying what they do best。 In a sense, everyone in the book are, to some degree or another, outsiders, as there never was a single word that could describe all of them without missing some of the o Without a shred of doubt, the writer achieved the goal of making readers sympathize and understand all those who were involved, as opposed to preferring one over another。 There are no true heroes nor evildoers, only those who grew up in different environments, each facing their own struggles and each enjoying what they do best。 In a sense, everyone in the book are, to some degree or another, outsiders, as there never was a single word that could describe all of them without missing some of the others。 。。。more

This was never required reading during any of my high school/college classes and I decided I should give it a go。。。It was fine。 I didn't love it。 Apparently everyone loves it。。。maybe something's wrong with me? Or maybe I didn't read it at the right point in my life? I don't know。。。But at least I finally get the iconic reference Ponyboy reference。。。 This was never required reading during any of my high school/college classes and I decided I should give it a go。。。It was fine。 I didn't love it。 Apparently everyone loves it。。。maybe something's wrong with me?
