This was a goofy book （somewhat sad at times if you are empathetic） and my niece thought it was funny; however， it did not keep her attention with the repetition。 She is 4 years old but I do not think she was in the mood for it。 I will try again and update my post。

It’s a great book， but it just wasn’t as funny as when that grandma read it to her grand baby。。 I chose a YouTube video， and I should have just gotten the book and read it myself。 Lol。 I like to be enthusiastic and would have gotten my class way more into the book。

The Wonky Donkey is personally an instant classic for me。 It’s fun sing-song rhythm and pattern makes it easy for all to get engrossed in， and it’s hard not to love this donkey！ Not a difficult read by any means， but very fun and has good re-readability。

This book I read in a Year 1 classroom on a teaching placement for the first time。 The quirky nature of the story with the rhyming structure it engages children and makes them laugh which is always a nice way to enjoy reading if the book is entertaining and funny。 Moreover， the audio CD that accompanied the book after I had read， was played and brought a musical dimension that brought the book to light and for the children was so enjoyable。
