This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I've been aware of My Hero Academia， but this was my first experience of it。 I give it 4。5 stars。The beginning had great information delivery about the world and protagonist Izuku Midoriya while staying interesting。 Afterwards， stakes pop up keeping it interesting along with urgency during action。 Before the entrance exam， I felt it was done well but not exactly my cup of tea。 I personally got more interested during the exam explaining （I like fictional structures）， the rescuing at the end of th I've been aware of My Hero Academia， but this was my first experience of it。 I give it 4。5 stars。The beginning had great information delivery about the world and protagonist Izuku Midoriya while staying interesting。 Afterwards， stakes pop up keeping it interesting along with urgency during action。 Before the entrance exam， I felt it was done well but not exactly my cup of tea。 I personally got more interested during the exam explaining （I like fictional structures）， the rescuing at the end of the exam， the exam results， and the new class setting。My favorite character is Ochaco Uraraka。 She's so cute and wholesome。 I liked that kept an active role by saving Midoriya back and speaking up after the exam to try to spare him a second time。 This combined with the rescue points added to both goodhearted characters' scores was heartwarming！The story's worth more than 4 stars， but I can't give it 5 stars。 It could be that it's still not exactly my tea anymore。 The manga creator Kohei Horikoshi succeeded in periodically feeding my spark of interest to keep it from going out。 But because the flame did decrease a few times （before the entrance exam）， I'm keeping my score at 4。5 not 5。 I know I've enjoyed the experience of some other mangas more。 But that happens often after the first manga。 So I should read vol 2 to see if that happens here too。Edit: After more reflection， I think I needed more characters to like in the first half other than the protagonist Midoriya。 We get only glimpses or flat depictions of other nice characters in the first half。 That's why I got more interested with Uraraka in the story and the new class setting。 In the new class setting， I liked Katsuki and Ida more because Midoriya had earned a spot at their level， so they were less threats to him or he could fight more for himself。 I'm happy for Midoriya that he made two friends on his first day of a new school。 Maybe I needed Midoriya to connect more with others。 Even the new school's homeroom teacher is emotionally impacted by Midoriya。 I liked All Might more， seeing him worry about Midoriya passing the first day tests。 Vol 2 should have more connections with his new friends and school。 Midoriya's big heart helped in the first half， but I needed the connections to stay interested。 。。。more

Lyra loves this series。 I finally bought her the first 4 for her birthday as she’d like the series to keep， and then I started reading it as she talks about it all the time。 I actually liked it quite a bit。 She says it just gets better， so looking forward to it。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 ♥No se por donde empezar。。。La verdad este es un muy buen manga （ y anime）。Los personajes son increibles y el dibujo impecable， me encanta la manera en la que deku va evolucionando y adquiriendo fuerza。No les mentire， bakugo o kachan es de mis personajes favoritos a pesar de （ lo admito） ser un maldito。♥Este primer tomo me hace sonreir mucho， yo ya vi el anime y el saber que este tomo fue el que inicio todo me hace querer llorar de nostalgia。Respecto al anime y manga， encontré algunas diferencias ♥No se por donde empezar。。。La verdad este es un muy buen manga （ y anime）。Los personajes son increibles y el dibujo impecable， me encanta la manera en la que deku va evolucionando y adquiriendo fuerza。No les mentire， bakugo o kachan es de mis personajes favoritos a pesar de （ lo admito） ser un maldito。♥Este primer tomo me hace sonreir mucho， yo ya vi el anime y el saber que este tomo fue el que inicio todo me hace querer llorar de nostalgia。Respecto al anime y manga， encontré algunas diferencias。¡ALERTA SPOILER！ Las diferencias que encontre， fueron pocas pero me llamaron la atención las cuales son las siguientes:1: cuando Bakugou toma el cuaderno de notas de super héroes de deku， en el manga lo quema con sus manos y lo lanza， para después mirara deku y decirle: " SI TANTO QUIERES CONVERTIRTE EN UN HEROÉ， HAY UNA FORMA BASTANTE EFICAZ DE LOGRARLO。 AVIENTATE DESDE LA AZOTEA CREYENDO QUE EN TU PRÓXIMA VIDA TENDRÁS UNA SINGULARIDAD。"Después deku lo mira con lágrimas y bakugo responde: ALGÚN PROBLEMA？En el animes sucede un poco diferente， Bakugou hace exactamente lo mismo solo que después de quemarlo toma a deku de el hombro y le dice " QUIERO SER EL ÚNICO QUE ENTRE EN LA U。A， ASÍ QUE。。。 NO APLIQUES ALA U。A， NERD。"En el manga llega a ser bastante más duro y la verdad me dolió。2: otra diferencia es cuando bakugo y sus amigos van caminando y justo antes de que el villano atrape a bakugou， ellos están fumando。 Cosa que censuraron en el anime。♥FRASES FAVORITAS:♥"Las personas no nacen iguales。 Esa es una realidad que aprendí a los cuatro años""Siempre hablaba sobre convertirme en un profesional。 No llores， ya lo sabías no？ La realidad。Quizás por que lo sabía，Lo intentaba con tanta desesperación。。。。SIMPLEMENTE NO LO QUERÍAS VER。NO LO QUERÍAS VER。。。"♥5/5♥ 。。。more

This manga is so good， I loved it。 I usually don’t read action and shonen manga because most of them has an excessive amount of blood， gore and death which I just find annoying。 But this had lots of action and fighting without all of that which was perfect for me at least。 I have not much more to say other than that it’s an exciting， cute and fun read， I highly recommend it and I can’t wait to keep reading。

C’est mon premier manga depuis bien longtemps et je l’ai vraiment apprécié mais comme c’est un tome d’introduction ce n’est pas un 5/5。 J’ai quand même des appréhensions pour les tomes suivants car j’ai l’impression que les personnes « méchants » ou « neutres » autour du héros ne vont pas du tout être développés （vu la manière dont l’auteur en parle） et je trouverai ça dommage :/

I started watching the anime for My Hero a few weeks ago and I stumbled across the eBook for the first volume while searching the online library catalog， so I gave it a read and finished it！ It is nearly identical to the anime and I cannot wait to read more volumes of this manga！

This book was fantastic。 The biggest issue I had was reading right to left， as it is a Japanese manga and not a regular book。 Once one adapts to that， it is an incredibly absorbing story。 I read the first volume in one class period and was more satisfied with it than with books that have taken entire days to read。 The story was also superb， including complex world building even without the large number of lines that one normally has in a regular book。 I had my doubts about reading a graphic nove This book was fantastic。 The biggest issue I had was reading right to left， as it is a Japanese manga and not a regular book。 Once one adapts to that， it is an incredibly absorbing story。 I read the first volume in one class period and was more satisfied with it than with books that have taken entire days to read。 The story was also superb， including complex world building even without the large number of lines that one normally has in a regular book。 I had my doubts about reading a graphic novel， because I had never imagined that they could be much more than children's story books。 My Hero Academia completely changed my perspective。 The development that the main character undergoes in this first volume is more than the development of a lot of main characters in larger books。 。。。more
