Summary

In love they breathed。 In destiny they believed。 In the end, will divinity be their demise?

After Séverin's seeming betrayal, the crew is fractured。 Armed with only a handful of hints, Enrique, Laila, Hypnos and Zofia must find their way through the snarled, haunted waterways of Venice, Italy to locate Séverin。

Meanwhile, Séverin must balance the deranged whims of the Patriarch of the Fallen House and discover the location of a temple beneath a plague island where the Divine Lyre can be played and all that he desires will come to pass。

With only ten days until Laila expires, the crew will face plague pits and deadly masquerades, unearthly songs and the shining steps of a temple whose powers might offer divinity itself。。。 but at a price they may not be willing to pay。

Returning to the dark and glamorous 19th century world of her New York Times instant bestseller, The Gilded Wolves, Roshani Chokshi dazzles us with the final riveting tale as full of mystery and danger as ever。

There is a void where my heart used to be。 Is Icarus the tragedy? Or is it Daedalus? Someone who had the power to do impossible things and still could not manage to protect the people he loved most?

this was actually the best written book to me out of all 3? i liked the fast pacing。 unlike previous books the lyrical prose didn't feel over the top and annoying。 the writing was more cohesive and i understood the gist of the magical system。the issue i have is with the treatment of laila and hypnos and thats why this is only a 3 star book if that, barely and not a 4 star this was actually the best written book to me out of all 3? i liked the fast pacing。 unlike previous books the lyrical prose didn't feel over the top and annoying。 the writing was more cohesive and i understood the gist of the magical system。the issue i have is with the treatment of laila and hypnos and thats why this is only a 3 star book if that, barely and not a 4 star 。。。more

The Bronze Beasts is the riveting conclusion of The Gilded Wolves trilogy。 I enjoyed this story the most out of this series。 There was less filler in this one I find。 I'm guessing it's because it was leading up to the final adventure。 The story picks up right where The Silvered Serpants left off and starts to move full speed into the goal since the beginning, finding the temple。 I really feel like this story was finished just right with by the events of The Bronzed Beasts。 All the loose ends fee The Bronze Beasts is the riveting conclusion of The Gilded Wolves trilogy。 I enjoyed this story the most out of this series。 There was less filler in this one I find。 I'm guessing it's because it was leading up to the final adventure。 The story picks up right where The Silvered Serpants left off and starts to move full speed into the goal since the beginning, finding the temple。 I really feel like this story was finished just right with by the events of The Bronzed Beasts。 All the loose ends feel wrapped up and the story is done in such a way that it ties everything in。 I really feel like this series could not have been finished off in a better way。 I also find it hard to review in deeper explanation so I don't give away any events but I can say it's probably the most action packed of all three。 Narration The bronzed beasts was narrated by two readers doing all four points of view。 I really liked how P。J。 Ochlan changes his voice when narrating actual conversation between characters and thoughts。 You didn't feel as if you would miss something because you didn't know if it was an inner or outer voice。 Laurie Catherine Winkel also did a great job at separating her characters voices by certain vocal depths。 I really found it way easier to enjoy and not have to be hyper focused to know who was speaking and whose point of view you were listening to。 。。。more

I'm not crying, you're crying。 The Bronzed Beasts picks up right where we left off in The Silvered Serpents--our heroes are seemingly betrayed, their lives at risk, and a madman is after godhood。 Honestly, it only gets better from here。 It's hard to talk about this book without spoiling anything--I want every single moment to be a surprise for readers, even if it's not an explicit spoiler。 So, I'm gonna talk in general about the book。 Roshani Chokshi's prose is stunning。 Her way with description I'm not crying, you're crying。 The Bronzed Beasts picks up right where we left off in The Silvered Serpents--our heroes are seemingly betrayed, their lives at risk, and a madman is after godhood。 Honestly, it only gets better from here。 It's hard to talk about this book without spoiling anything--I want every single moment to be a surprise for readers, even if it's not an explicit spoiler。 So, I'm gonna talk in general about the book。 Roshani Chokshi's prose is stunning。 Her way with descriptions and metaphors and sentence structure is beautiful, and reminds me of authors like V。E。 Schwab (another one of my favorites!)。 These descriptions are lush in the first two books, but in Bronzed Beasts, they're utterly decadent。 You can taste the pastries on your tongue; you can feel the dank, stale air of a cave never traversed in centuries, the list goes on。 Such powerful language only adds to an intricately woven story that'll have you laughing, then crying, then crying some more。 。。。more

I’ve been trying to come up with words to start this review for what feels like ages, but I honestly don’t even know what to say。I started reading the Gilded Wolves trilogy because I thought the concept was nice, but I never imagined I’d get so attached to all the characters and never expected to fell in love so deeply with this story。 All of them have a special place in my heart and for that I’m grateful。The Bronzed Beasts is the best ending for this journey, and I’m sure everyone who has roote I’ve been trying to come up with words to start this review for what feels like ages, but I honestly don’t even know what to say。I started reading the Gilded Wolves trilogy because I thought the concept was nice, but I never imagined I’d get so attached to all the characters and never expected to fell in love so deeply with this story。 All of them have a special place in my heart and for that I’m grateful。The Bronzed Beasts is the best ending for this journey, and I’m sure everyone who has rooted for the characters will be pleased with the events that take place in this book。 I didn’t care much for the plot itself at times and it felt a little too rushed when it came to the second half of the book, but at the same time it was the part that made me want to keep reading more and more。 The characters, their stories and relationships were what kept me going and going and I’m very happy that each of them got what they deserved。 I’m gonna miss Laila, Séverin, Zofia, Enrique and Hypnos with all my heart。 Love them forever。 。。。more

This is the third book in the series。 You will need to read the first two books in order to fully understand what is going on。While I've enjoyed all of these books, I will have to say that they are quite thick reads。 What I mean is that you need to pay close attention to what is going on。 It had been quite a while since I read book two so I was a bit lost at the beginning。 (This is my fault and not the authors。) I did pick the story back up quickly and was able to immerse myself in it。This book This is the third book in the series。 You will need to read the first two books in order to fully understand what is going on。While I've enjoyed all of these books, I will have to say that they are quite thick reads。 What I mean is that you need to pay close attention to what is going on。 It had been quite a while since I read book two so I was a bit lost at the beginning。 (This is my fault and not the authors。) I did pick the story back up quickly and was able to immerse myself in it。This book is a repeat of the other two where the friends are showing great loyalty to each other。 They are trying to save Laila while trying to heal from Severin's supposed betrayal。 Along the way, the group finds themselves in dangerous situations that call for cunning and intelligent responses。Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book。 。。。more

And now I'm crying。 What a wonderful, gorgeous, and absolutely satisfying conclusion to the series! I love it。 I feel like my heart grew ten sizes just reading this。 It was an absolute pleasure to see Severin, Laila, Zofia, Enrique and Hypnos through to the end。 I love them all。 However! What happened to Goliath? He gets a few mentions throughout the book, but we never learn his ultimate fate。 Did he live happily ever after? I must know!! “’How would you find us?’ A sad smile touched his mouth。 “I would find you anywhere。” Wow。 This book was BEAUTIFUL。 The character and story development was absolutely brilliant。 This book has some of the most beautiful declarations of love and hope。 This book picks up immediately after the devastating and emotional events that Silvered Serpents ended in。 We are back with our favorite found family gang as they all try to put the pieces back together。We have Severin- desperate for forgiveness and “’How would you find us?’ A sad smile touched his mouth。 “I would find you anywhere。” Wow。 This book was BEAUTIFUL。 The character and story development was absolutely brilliant。 This book has some of the most beautiful declarations of love and hope。 This book picks up immediately after the devastating and emotional events that Silvered Serpents ended in。 We are back with our favorite found family gang as they all try to put the pieces back together。We have Severin- desperate for forgiveness and second chances。 He will do whatever it takes to protect those he loves。 WHATEVER IT TAKES。 He will lie, cheat, hurt, betray and all for his friends who he loves like family。 Then we have Laila and her brutal reminder that her days are numbered。 She is desperate to find a way to survive because she has yet to truly live。 She is constantly reminded of Severin and his brutal words but also can’t help the desire that flows through her veins。Finally, my favorite little trio。 Enrique, Zofia, and Hypnos。 Enrique is fueled by rage after the events of silvered serpents and is determined to find a way to help Lila。 Zofia continues with her explosives and fire and her brilliant mind is put to the test。 Hypnos is the glue that tries to hold everyone together- he never loses his hope and faith and is the perfect comedic relief when things grow tense。 This book was filled with so much adventure and riddles。 So much love and faith。 A TON of action that I was freaking out time and time again。 Choksi’s writing is one of my favorites-she weaves atmospheric and lush writing to create a beautiful world。 This time, we are in Venice and I truly felt like I was there。 Overall, this book was the perfect conclusion- that epilogue was one of the most beautiful ones I have ever read。 This crew will stay in my heart forever。 *I received an advanced audiobook copy from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review。 The narrators for this book were fantastic- they would speak in different accents that really brought the characters to life- I highly recommend the audiobook!* 。。。more

Thanks to the publisher for providing an early copy of the audiobook for The Bronzed Beasts in exchange for an honest review。I was so so worried for this one because a lot of trilogies go downhill by the third book (aka whatever tf happened with divergent) but Roshani Chokshi killed this。 I don't want to say a lot and spoil anything, but I'm absolutely obsessed with where every single character ends up and it all makes so much sense。 I can't imagine it ending any other way。 Thanks to the publisher for providing an early copy of the audiobook for The Bronzed Beasts in exchange for an honest review。I was so so worried for this one because a lot of trilogies go downhill by the third book (aka whatever tf happened with divergent) but Roshani Chokshi killed this。 I don't want to say a lot and spoil anything, but I'm absolutely obsessed with where every single character ends up and it all makes so much sense。 I can't imagine it ending any other way。 。。。more

I am here for it。 Laila and Severin have one of the more interesting dynamics in YA, and its one that unique, even with the parallels to Kaz and Inej that folks make。 #OwnVoices, historical fantasy by way of the DaVinci Code and Six of Crows, with a diverse cast, languages, abilities, and powers - Chokshi did a wonderful job with the series and while I am happy with the way that the trilogy ended, I am sad to be leaving this world that she created。 。。。more

Wonderfully Tragic。 I wish I had had more time with the former, happy crew from book one (maybe like a prequel novella???) but I absolutely adored all the angst and tragedy of The Silver Serpents and The Bronzed Beast。 Severin is such an great tragic hero。 This was a great satisfying ending to this fantastic series。 The audiobook narrators were both fantastic in all three books of this trilogy。 Thanks to Netgalley for the Advanced Copy of the Audiobook。

This book is definitely a roller coaster of emotions。 Roshani continues to do an amazing job incorporating history, magic and mythology, as well as making it all cohesive。 The ending was surprising and unexpected。 The last 30-40 pages definitely leave you with a strong feeling of hope。 My biggest question: (view spoiler)[ In the epilogue, Roshani writes: "Severin was at their side for the rest of their lives, and he continued to be there for their descendants long after Enrique, Zofia, and Hypno This book is definitely a roller coaster of emotions。 Roshani continues to do an amazing job incorporating history, magic and mythology, as well as making it all cohesive。 The ending was surprising and unexpected。 The last 30-40 pages definitely leave you with a strong feeling of hope。 My biggest question: (view spoiler)[ In the epilogue, Roshani writes: "Severin was at their side for the rest of their lives, and he continued to be there for their descendants long after Enrique, Zofia, and Hypnos had passed。。。"。 Umm, what?!
