Summary

She knew her hand in marriage would be sold。 She had no idea a fae prince was the buyer。

Katria swore she'd never fall in love。 She's seen what "love" means through the cruelty of her family。 So when she's married off to the mysterious Lord Fenwood for a handsome price, all Katria wants is a better life than the one she's leaving。 Feelings are off the table。

But her new husband makes not falling in love difficult。

As their attraction begins to grow, so too do the oddities within her new life: strange rules, screams in the night, and attacks by fae that Katria never thought were real。 When she witnesses a ritual not meant for human eyes, Katria finds herself spirited away to the land of Midscape。

Surviving the fae wilds as a human is hard enough。 Katria must survive as a human who accidently pilfered the magic of ancient kings - magic a bloodthirsty king is ready to kill her for in order to keep his stolen throne - and her new husband is the rightful heir in hiding。

The power to save the fae is in her hands。 But who will save her from a love she vowed never to feel?

A Dance with the Fae Prince is a complete, stand-alone novel, inspired by the tales of Psyche and Eros, as well as Cinderella, with a "happily ever after" ending。 It's perfect for fantasy romance fans looking for just the right amount of steam and their next slow-burn and swoon-worthy couple。

Again, I loved being in the world of Midscape and leaning more about the different people of the world。 The first book was Elves, this one is Fae (yes different people)。。。 Loved how a "human" can defy all odds, and show you can be strong when you grew up being told less of yourself and you can do soo much。 Loved the "im never gonna love" wall gets broken down。。。Love the extra scene - having the Elf King and Human Queen being part of the world。 Can't wait for the next part of the world Again, I loved being in the world of Midscape and leaning more about the different people of the world。 The first book was Elves, this one is Fae (yes different people)。。。 Loved how a "human" can defy all odds, and show you can be strong when you grew up being told less of yourself and you can do soo much。 Loved the "im never gonna love" wall gets broken down。。。Love the extra scene - having the Elf King and Human Queen being part of the world。 Can't wait for the next part of the world 。。。more

I really did enjoy this!It was a pleasant read, with more to come。 I loved the characters and their stories。 It was somewhat predictable, but it was towards a good end。 I can’t wait to read more!

Familiar story but still an entertaining bookKept me captivated。 Story moved quickly in most of the whole book。 I read the whole thing in 1 day which isn't something I usually do! Maybe it's just me I'm not in the mood。I'm at 75% and now that things seems to get thicker I can't care less。I stop here。I'm in some kind of reading slump right know。I need something more gripping。Sorry Kova。Perhaps I'll come back sooner or later。 Maybe it's just me I'm not in the mood。I'm at 75% and now that things seems to get thicker I can't care less。I stop here。I'm in some kind of reading slump right know。I need something more gripping。Sorry Kova。Perhaps I'll come back sooner or later。 。。。more

I didn’t necessarily buy the romance between the two MCs but enjoyed the story, though I was pretty sure from the minute Katria entered the woods what the outcome would be。

I had VERY high expectations for this book。 And not just because it's a book by Elise Kova, but also because it's prequel was one of my favourite books I read this year。 But sadly, it didn't live up to my hopes and expectations。 The book has an amazing start。 The kind of start that just sucks you in, you are intrigued by the main character, you want to know what she's all about, what her life is about。 Everything about Katria was interesting。 Enter lord Fenwood。 The mysterious man who buys her h I had VERY high expectations for this book。 And not just because it's a book by Elise Kova, but also because it's prequel was one of my favourite books I read this year。 But sadly, it didn't live up to my hopes and expectations。 The book has an amazing start。 The kind of start that just sucks you in, you are intrigued by the main character, you want to know what she's all about, what her life is about。 Everything about Katria was interesting。 Enter lord Fenwood。 The mysterious man who buys her hand in marriage for 4000 gold coins, and a dowry of One。 Single。 Book。At first I had no expectations of him。 I kept myself open to possibilities。 And boy did the possibilities surprise me。 It was a pleasant surprise that I absolutely loved Katria and the elusive lord Fenwoods interactions。 I loved how the two of them would casually talk with each other。 That they would seek each other out。 And that even though there was a "barrier" it didn't feel weird。 The weirdness? It comes after。 Enter Davien。The spoiled ARSE of a prince。I tried。 I tried so hard to like him。 To give him some leeway。 To connect with the character。 But nope。 Davien was a huge disappointment。 At every turn he annoyed me。 At every tantrum he threw I wanted to jump into the book and bash him。 "I AM DESTINED TO BE KING" * stomps feet * -basically that's what Daviens whole character felt like to me。 Davien is fixated on the fact that he is the rightful king of Aviness。 That he is DESTINED。 But no where through out the book do I see anything about him that makes him worthy。 Everyone around him does all the work。 Yes he has hopes and dreams and a lot of pretty words。 But that's all。 He is a wishy washy sort of character that one day decides he won't love someone, next day decides he's in love but no worries he'll discard her when he needs to and THEN decides nope sorry I can't live without her so I'm not gonna discard her。 🙂He is unnecessarily harsh to the female MC。 He keeps throwing tantrums。 He never trusts her at the first chance, only after he's been proven wrong。 And。 AND he thinks he's all that。 🙂 He's not。 He's very not "all that" and that's why I rated the book 3 stars。 (I'm adding one star more because I just remembered how cute Shaye, Giles and Raph are 😍) 。。。more

Pues me gustan mucho las ideas de esta autora, me parece muy interesantes, pero la ejecución es muy pobre y aburrida, me paso lo mismo que con el libro anterior。

I discovered this author haphazardly and really enjoy the two books I have read by her。 They are written in a straightforward manner without a lot of flourish。 What I like is they have no cringy moments where I am brought out of the narrative by the prose。 They are fluid without a lot of symbolism or allegory。 We get to see the beauty and difficult of these women's situation with just enough drama to make it interesting but without the author torturing the reader。 I discovered this author haphazardly and really enjoy the two books I have read by her。 They are written in a straightforward manner without a lot of flourish。 What I like is they have no cringy moments where I am brought out of the narrative by the prose。 They are fluid without a lot of symbolism or allegory。 We get to see the beauty and difficult of these women's situation with just enough drama to make it interesting but without the author torturing the reader。 。。。more

I adored this books predecessor, and liked this one very much。 I am always here for a fairy tale adaptation, and I enjoy the world that Kova has created in this connected series。 This book successfully explored trauma's effect on - everything, I guess, but really, love - and our FMC was very well-rendered。 I did not feel I knew our MMC as well as I knew the MMC of the prior book, but, like Eldas, he was a cinnamon roll。 I really like when authors consider how temperament and disposition affect t I adored this books predecessor, and liked this one very much。 I am always here for a fairy tale adaptation, and I enjoy the world that Kova has created in this connected series。 This book successfully explored trauma's effect on - everything, I guess, but really, love - and our FMC was very well-rendered。 I did not feel I knew our MMC as well as I knew the MMC of the prior book, but, like Eldas, he was a cinnamon roll。 I really like when authors consider how temperament and disposition affect the relationship between two people - and our couple here is well-matched。I mentioned in a recent review that I have been annoyed when "badass" heroines have to transfer power to men in the closing events of the novel - (view spoiler)[I saw this book heading that way and thought, oh, I really, really don't want this to go there! And it didn't! They still worked really well together and I love how Davian was so assuring and straight with his feelings。 "This man makes me want dangerous things"The ending and reveal was a little predictable, I guessed early on in the book what was going to happen。 That being said it didn't spoil anything for me, it was a really satisfying ending。 An easy and light read, I love how Elise creates these magical worlds that just suck you straight in。 I'm loving the book covers to this world 'Married to Magic' they are truly stunning and I can't wait to see what will be on the cover of book three, plus vampires are making a comeback! I'm so excited for that。 。。。more

Elise Kova keeping me up till the late hours of the night once again。。。 What an amazing read this book was, I am so glad to revisit the world of Midscape through the lens of the Fae this time! The plot was pretty predictable, but honestly, Elise could write a 400 page book on a candle burning and I'd probably swallow it in one night。 Her writing is captivating, her characters struggle and earn their development and the romance as usual is heart wrenching。 I can't believe I waited so long to read Elise Kova keeping me up till the late hours of the night once again。。。 What an amazing read this book was, I am so glad to revisit the world of Midscape through the lens of the Fae this time! Wow。 Has Elise Kova's writing improved tenfold over the years。 This book has a seamless flow and the dialogue felt far less forced than in past stories。 The world building continues to be spectacular, and the pacing did not feel rushed。 Great。 Wow。 Has Elise Kova's writing improved tenfold over the years。 This book has a seamless flow and the dialogue felt far less forced than in past stories。 The world building continues to be spectacular, and the pacing did not feel rushed。 Great。 。。。more

I love Elise Kova’s books but this one was …。 meh。 The plot I saw coming a mile off and Kova really took her time dragging out something that was glaringly obvious right from the start。 I didn’t particularly love Davien either but loved the world she created and the supporting characters! Kova’s writing style is always beautiful and engaging to read! Overall, can’t say it was my favourite book of hers, but I enjoyed it nonetheless。

It’s a nice read, yes the story is predictable, but still enjoyable enough。 I did pause and hold back a few times finishing it since I knew how it was going to end (again, predictable)。 Even though it’s not a great read of this “Married to Magic” and the authors books are not really for my age, I still enjoy it for pure entertainment。
