Cece Harbor,
Overall a good read, I didn't realize it was part of a series。 I'm fascinated by "what-if" stories。 Here with Macomber and Picoult (Book of Two Ways) and a few others。 I sometimes ponder "what if" and more times than none I realize that I wouldn't change a thing。 Overall a good read, I didn't realize it was part of a series。 I'm fascinated by "what-if" stories。 Here with Macomber and Picoult (Book of Two Ways) and a few others。 I sometimes ponder "what if" and more times than none I realize that I wouldn't change a thing。 。。。more

The third installment of the Blossom Street series is not set in Blossom street is set in a small town outside Seattle。 The plot of Susannah's Garden is different than the first two books of the series。 This installment has a more mystery style。 Susannah's family has a lot of mysteries that they unravel bit by bit through the novel。 This book deals with grief, dementia。 It is heartwrenching as well, though, as her mother is becoming more and more forgetful and has to face the fact that she can't The third installment of the Blossom Street series is not set in Blossom street is set in a small town outside Seattle。 The plot of Susannah's Garden is different than the first two books of the series。 This installment has a more mystery style。 Susannah's family has a lot of mysteries that they unravel bit by bit through the novel。 This book deals with grief, dementia。 It is heartwrenching as well, though, as her mother is becoming more and more forgetful and has to face the fact that she can't live at home anymore, and my mother is slowly heading that way as well。I preferred the storyline between Susannah and her mother over Susannah and Chrissie; Chrissie seemed more like a drama-queen teenager than an adult。 Carolyn, Susannah's friend, is a nicely developed character involved in a nicely done twist at the end of the book。 Unfortunately, while the women are well written, the men aren't - Susannah's husband Joe has the patience of a saint while Susannah looks for Jake; I wish he had shown some backbone。Yes, I know that I will continue with the series。 Hopefully, pretty soon (maybe as soon as I get my hands on the fourth book of the series。 To learn more about Susannah and Joe's life on Blossom street and maybe meet again characters of the former books。) 。。。more
Ereynolds1,
Another good book in the Blossom Street series。 Read up to the 7th one and somehow skipped the 3rd one Susannah’s Garden。 I really enjoyed it。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I absolutely adore Debbi Macomber’s so much! She just writes so beautifully the relationship and friendship between her characters which I absolutely adored! I actually really only picked up Susannah’s Garden because it was set in my hometown of Colville Washington which I’m very familiar with since I identified with Spokane, Kettle Falls, and Colville。 Okay y’all I didn’t really expect there so be any plot twist whatsoever I actually assumed that Doug has been dead for the past thirty years whi I absolutely adore Debbi Macomber’s so much! I actually really only picked up Susannah’s Garden because it was set in my hometown of Colville Washington which I’m very familiar with since I identified with Spokane, Kettle Falls, and Colville。 Okay y’all I didn’t really expect there so be any plot twist whatsoever I actually assumed that Doug has been dead for the past thirty years while Jake was living somewhere in Canada or maybe the Washington area who knows? But when I read this yesterday I was so shocked and really surprised 😳 since Doug has been alive for the past thirty years and was living as,” Dave。” That just really shocked me y’all while on the other hand Jake was dead, since everyone thought his body was Susannah’s brother。 Throughout this whole book Susannah actually thought her ex-boyfriend was still alive since she hired a private investigator and everything。 I seriously can’t believe she spent so much money for that since he was already dead what a sad why to find out you know? In the beginning I actually kinda liked Troy but I found out later on he’s actually a tool since he’s a player that doesn’t even deserve Chrisse whatsoever! She definitely deserves somebody better tbh。 I absolutely adored Vivian and George (and no not her dead husband) they were so cute 🥰 beyond words!! I absolutely loved the cuteness factor! It was beyond cute!! In the beginning I didn’t really like Joe but later on I grew to appreciate him since he does love Susannah and they share two beautiful children together whom are Chrissie and Brian。 Also, Sharon Nance whom is Troy’s mother is like,” Susannah do you know who Troy resembles? Jake。” Btw she’s a complete liar Troy’s dad ain’t Jake, Sharon just wants attention and everything。 Okay guys so in the beginning of the whole book I thought Dave was just Dave no one else but in the ending this whole time Dave was Doug!! Dunnn Dunn Dunn! *shocker* 😯 I was in utter shock y’all! Overall I highly recommend Susannah’s Garden by Debbi Macomber! Happy Reading!!📚📚 。。。more

I loved this diversion from Blossom street to a little town in Colville。。。。and I was held at bay by the mystery of the whole situation with Susannah - nicely done Debbie!!

Very good book until the end!

*SPOILERS* Basically a woman moves to a small town and spends $6000 for no reason。 Reasonably fun to read at times, yet also sad and stressful。 If you're reading the Blossom Street series, you will probably not miss much if you skip this book。 It does not include any characters from the rest of the series。 Major themes are death and aging。 *SPOILERS* Basically a woman moves to a small town and spends $6000 for no reason。 Reasonably fun to read at times, yet also sad and stressful。 If you're reading the Blossom Street series, you will probably not miss much if you skip this book。 It does not include any characters from the rest of the series。 Major themes are death and aging。 。。。more

Ok light read but predictable
Jan,
Lots of details, action, lost loves, balancing life with a stubborn teenager and aging mother, past regrets that turn into wisdom, a dead end that leads to a mystery and a renewed love,
Anne Wisniewski Vogt,
I really enjoyed this book and I didn't think I would at the beginning。 It had some mystery to it that I enjoyed。 It also made me appreciate where I am in my own life。 I really enjoyed this book and I didn't think I would at the beginning。 It had some mystery to it that I enjoyed。 It also made me appreciate where I am in my own life。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this。 The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that I was able to guess all the plot twists and big reveals。 It didn't take away from the story, as it still needed to be explained, but it was a little bit sad that that happened。 I probably read way to many of these types of books to be able to do this。 It was heartwrenching as well though, as her mother is becoming more and more forgetful and has to face the fact that she can't live at home anymore and my mother is slowing head I really enjoyed this。 The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was that I was able to guess all the plot twists and big reveals。 It didn't take away from the story, as it still needed to be explained, but it was a little bit sad that that happened。 I probably read way to many of these types of books to be able to do this。 It was heartwrenching as well though, as her mother is becoming more and more forgetful and has to face the fact that she can't live at home anymore and my mother is slowing heading that way as well。 Her daughter though, was enough to make you rip your hair out。 She was selfish, immature, aggravating and just all around a brat。 Debbie really knows how to make a book a page turner though。 Looking forward to continuing on with this series, even though, this one barely had anything to do with Blossom Street。 。。。more

2。5 starsI was glad to finish this book。 It started off fairly slowly and maintained that pace。 I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did the two previous books in the series。 In fact Blossom Street wasn't mentioned until the very last chapter。I didn't really warm most of the characters in the story and found myself wondering where this was all going。 I felt a few of the storylines were not concluded and wonder if these will be picked up in later books。 2。5 starsI was glad to finish this book。 It started off fairly slowly and maintained that pace。 I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I did the two previous books in the series。 In fact Blossom Street wasn't mentioned until the very last chapter。I didn't really warm most of the characters in the story and found myself wondering where this was all going。 I felt a few of the storylines were not concluded and wonder if these will be picked up in later books。 。。。more
Amanda,
I had no idea about the rest of the series and thoroughly enjoyed this book。 It held true to the summary on the back and kept me engaged。 It wasn’t as moving as I had hoped but I was definitely intrigued and enamored by Susannah, Vivian, and Chrissie’s story。 It’s not my normal genre of book and it definitely kept me guessing。 It was very enjoyable and I feel now like reading the others in the series!
Linda Randall,
Love the BookI love the book it was my second time reading it。 It was a tearjerker but it was worth it I loved how Susannah And Joe story came full circle
Helen Wright,
Wasn’t sure what to expect of this book as it’s a new author for me, but I really enjoyed it。
Judine Brey,
The twists in this book were some of the things that bothered me the most。 I was initially very sad about the portrayal of Vivian because the whole dementia thing hit too close to home。 I found Susannah's lack of honesty with her husband troubling, even though it was resolved satisfactorily in the end。 The parallels between Susannah's story and her daughter's made sense, but the ending was pretty abrupt。 The twists in this book were some of the things that bothered me the most。 I was initially very sad about the portrayal of Vivian because the whole dementia thing hit too close to home。 I found Susannah's lack of honesty with her husband troubling, even though it was resolved satisfactorily in the end。 The parallels between Susannah's story and her daughter's made sense, but the ending was pretty abrupt。 。。。more

A nice, cozy Macomber book。 Great reading and she brings you to the characters in her usual, caring manner。 A simple, but meaningful story
Tatra,
This was a good book。 Not quite what I expected, but I enjoyed the characters and the whole mystery that ended up unfolding。 And that twist at the end was good。
Heather Murphy,
This had a bit more of a mystery。 This was a little different than previous stories in Blossom Street stories but it went well with keeping with the characters and community that has been at forefront of books。
