Summary

Flipped is a romance told in two voices。 The first time Juli Baker saw Bryce Loski, she flipped。 The first time Bryce saw Juli, he ran。 That's pretty much the pattern for these two neighbors until the eighth grade, when, just as Juli is realizing Bryce isn't as wonderful as she thought, Bryce is starting to see that Juli is pretty amazing。 How these two teens manage to see beyond the surface of things and come together makes for a comic and poignant romance。

I read this book 6 years ago and it’s still memorable。 I absolutely loved the plot and the main characters, although Bryce and Juli could be unlikable at times。 The book to movie adaption is awesome; Flipped is in my top 3 movies。 Would recommend!

good for a fast easy read, i didnt like the ending though。 too rushed and didnt sit right i know the author intended it that way but is frustrating when you read a book and dont get a sophisticated ending。

this books was a super good read, so funny, and heart whelming。 I loved it so much! This story takes place in 1957, in a small town based in Michigan。 The main character is a young girl julie。 Nothing interesting is happening in her life, until little blonde boy- Bryce moves in across the street。 Julie is now 14 years old and she's been obsessed with Bryce Loski ever since she set her eyes on him。 There are so many twists and funny moments! a cute story。 really adore the he said she said aspect of it。 i gotta say tho, this book is a product of its time i guess。 i did not like some language and views used here about people with mental disabilities。

This book made me cry。 It’s a really cute rom-com & because the book is written in the perspective of both main characters about the same scenes happening, you can truly see the situation better。 They both have flaws but they’re both good people whom you can sympathise with。 I highly recommend it! I read this book in 3 hours straight! I loved it!

Juli Baker fell in love with her new neighbor Bryce Loski at first sight before the start of second grade。 Bryce has only seen Juli as the biggest nuisance of his life since the second grade。 But everything changed with a Sycamore tree。 Julie sees the world differently than most people。 She is far deeper than most。 Bryce is still figuring things out about the world and the people in it。 But Juli is one of a kind and eventually he will figure it out。 Told in alternating points of view the story i Juli Baker fell in love with her new neighbor Bryce Loski at first sight before the start of second grade。 Bryce has only seen Juli as the biggest nuisance of his life since the second grade。 But everything changed with a Sycamore tree。 Julie sees the world differently than most people。 She is far deeper than most。 Bryce is still figuring things out about the world and the people in it。 But Juli is one of a kind and eventually he will figure it out。 Told in alternating points of view the story is a coming of age romance with a ending to make anyone crazy with questions of “what happens next?” This was turned into a movie and I'm sure it too will be leaving the watcher ask the same thing。 Juli actually reminds me of someone I went to school with。 Someone who didn't care what others thought of her but did what she knew to be right。 Who saw the world for what it could be and Bryce is your typical guy who seems to be figuring it out 20 steps behind her at his own pace。 It is really a bittersweet story about perceptions and family and how the way we are raised influences us without us fully realizing it。 Flipped s a book and a movie that will make you think。 If you had to pick book or movie, I think either will get the point across with this one。 。。。more

The two protagonist are Bryce Loski and Juli Baker。 Both Bryce and Juli are passionate but in different ways because after Bryce found out that Juli is amazing, he was trying to contact her and Juli is passionate about the sycamore tree that she loved to climb on。 Being passionate is important because both Juli and Bryce used it during middle school to help them。

Fav Quotes:How could she sit there and look so… beautiful?I didn’t’ care what they thought, i liked Julie Baker。I just wanted to be with her。 To talk to her。 To hold her hand again。I’ll ride my bike all the stinkin’ way to school for the rest of eternity if it means being with her。This was a sycamore tree。Maybe my mother’s right。 Maybe there is more to Bryce Loski than I know。

Since i was 9 this has been my all time favorite book。 Probably one of the first i’d ever actually finished at that age and still so close to my heart。 When the movie came out i could finally put a face to the crush I had on Bryce, and i mean who are we kidding, Julie as well。(Bi vibes!) One of the protagonists in this story is Juli Baker。 She always thinks positively unless people give her a reason not to, she loves trying new things, and she's one of the main characters because she's one of the love interests of the other main character。 I relate to her because she's in middle school, she's around my age, and dealing with stupid middle school drama。 One of the protagonists in this story is Juli Baker。 She always thinks positively unless people give her a reason not to, she loves trying new things, and she's one of the main characters because she's one of the love interests of the other main character。 I relate to her because she's in middle school, she's around my age, and dealing with stupid middle school drama。 。。。more

Protagonist Prompt-The two protagonists are Julie, who falls out of love, and Bryce who falls in love。 We see that since the beginning of the book Julie is passionate like when they were cutting down the sycamore tree and Bryce who is also passionate and energetic like when he calls and knocks on her door just to find her。 Both characters are passionate in very different ways trying to navigate middle school。

1。 Topic sentenceIn my book there are two protagonist Juli Baker and Bryce Loski。 2。 Textual evidenceJuli is very smart and strong, I know this because when her favorite tree was going to get chopped down, she staid in the tree, so no one would chop it down。 Bryce on the other hand is very kind because when Juli was ad, Bryce grew the tree that got chopped down in her garden。3。 ConnectionThese sentences show that the characters are good people。

Allie Crawford

In this book there are two protagonist, Julie and Bryce。 In the book they go back and fourth between being the protagonist chapter after chapter。 All of this information shows that Julie and Bryce are both the protagonist in this story。

Jessica

Bryce was the protagonist in the story。 He is the protagonist because when he started to date Shelly it affected the whole story。 Julie got jealous and then Julie found her True Value。

Honestly, this book was a bit of disappointment for me。 It is pretty well known, AND it is classified as a YA romance story。 The only reason that made me pick it up is the premise of the book。 It follows these two teenagers who live in the same neighbourhood, but each one of them has a different life, hobbies and personalities。 The girl in the story falls in love with the boy from the very first time she sees him when they where yet kids。 She is attracted to his beautiful blue eyes。 The boy, tho Honestly, this book was a bit of disappointment for me。 It is pretty well known, AND it is classified as a YA romance story。 The only reason that made me pick it up is the premise of the book。 It follows these two teenagers who live in the same neighbourhood, but each one of them has a different life, hobbies and personalities。 The girl in the story falls in love with the boy from the very first time she sees him when they where yet kids。 She is attracted to his beautiful blue eyes。 The boy, though, sees the girl as a mere irritation, and so he ignores her for years。 When the two enter grade 8, the relationship between them takes another turn。 The boy starts to see the girl as a more attracting and interesting person, while the girl starts to see how wrong she's been thinking so highly about the boy。 。Pros:- What I loved the most about the book is the heavy inclusion of family and how family affects in one's upbringing。 Now as for the characters, I really enjoyed reading about the boy's grandfather。 He is sooooo incredibly wise and kind and thoughtful。 I loved seeing his relationship with the boy evolves even though theirs was a bit off in the beginning。 There are a few quotes that really hit home for me whenever I read about the grandfather😭I admit that his presence made me enjoy the reading experience even more than I thought I would, and I can't see myself raising my rating to 3 stars if it wasn't for him😁 I loved how his presence affects the whole plotline as well as the characters' lives。 He doesn't only play a part in the main characters' decision making process, but is also doing the same in the other minor characters' included, which I found pretty interesting, seeing that he's only another minor figure himself, yet with a high impact。 Cons:- I hate how middle grade this story sounds, especially that it's classified as a YA romance。 I mean it reads soooo young, and I didn't like THAT。 The characters are just kids, falling in love, and feeling misery in their teens。 Yet, they sounded merely elementary school kids, I mean WHAT? I can see kids falling in love, but like in their teens, there are other emotions and confusions and things happen, and it felt just forced in this book? I don't even know which genre I should put this book in! I mean it is not a YA, it doesn't seem as one at least! Nor does it seem as a romance!I'd have preferred if the relationship between the two is ,more of a friendship with different obstacles along the story than seeing the two playing love around irritatingly🤐- Another point is, why the hell are we giving bits about the two characters' hobbies and talents and interests and school stuff while this period of one's life is filled with all of the different colours of things as such。 We know, for example, that the girl is a social outspoken dreamy figure。 She loves adventures。 She is clever and she loves the sight she sees when climbing up trees。 However, we don't seem to get enough plot and execution of all of these things。 AND the boy, Man, what do we know about him? We see more about his family and his relationship with them。 We see his interactions with his friend, but do we know what he likes? What his hobbies are? Nothing! Overall, the story has a really good premise, it could have been better if the execution was a little bit more solid!! 。。。more

I’m giving this book 4 stars because this book was SO GOOD with all its chaotic middle school drama。 Unfortunately, I think my copy is missing a couple pages at the end。 You simply CANNOT give me all this chaotic build up and then just??? STOP THE BOOK??!?!No no no。 My book is simply missing a couple pages at the end and until I find the proper ending, no, I’m sorry, the RIGHT ending this book shall remain 4 starios:)
