Summary

The Gray Man's search for missing intelligence agents plunges him deep into a maelstrom of trouble in the latest entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series。

The first agent disappearance was a puzzle。

The second was a mystery。

The third was a conspiracy。

Intelligence operatives around the world are disappearing。 When a missing American agent re-appears in Venezuela, Court Gentry, the Gray Man, is dispatched to bring him in, but a team of assassins has other ideas。 Court escapes with his life and a vital piece of intelligence。

Meanwhile, CIA agent Zoya Zakharova is in Berlin。 Her mission: to infiltrate a private intelligence firm with some alarming connections。 The closer she gets to answers, the less likely she is to get out alive。

Court and Zoya are just two pieces on this international chessboard, and they're about to discover one undeniable truth--sometimes capturing a king requires sacrificing some pawns。

GreatI started by reading the Gray Man and have now got to this, book ten, without reading anything else on the way。 Best series I have ever read, and I have read all my life and am now 80。

The levels of intricacy and intrege that Mark Greaney crafts for his Gray Man novels show just how much he cares about these characters and the world he created for them。 He has a barely functional Court operating against a private intelligence agency in the control of a CIA trained spy master with an agenda to wreck havoc on the world。 Into this insanity Mark throws at Court a highly trained mercenary hit squad, and a Russian version of himself, with his own team。 In the meantime, Court is tryi The levels of intricacy and intrege that Mark Greaney crafts for his Gray Man novels show just how much he cares about these characters and the world he created for them。 He has a barely functional Court operating against a private intelligence agency in the control of a CIA trained spy master with an agenda to wreck havoc on the world。 Into this insanity Mark throws at Court a highly trained mercenary hit squad, and a Russian version of himself, with his own team。 In the meantime, Court is trying to protect Zoya, while Zack is rotting in a Venezuelan prison, from Iranian sleeper terrorists and Russian assassins。 The only thing not trying to kill Gentry are aliens from outer space, which I'm sure are only waiting for their opportunity in the next novel。 I truly enjoy the multi-level plots Mark comes up with and the interesting ways he has for Court to survive these missions。 Not to spoil anything but I'm saddened by what befalls Gentry at the end of this story, but I'm sure Greaney will find a way for Court to overcome this hurdle just like he does every other obstacle in his path。 I'm glad to see that Mark has gone back to third person narrative in this book。 The previous one was interesting but I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I had all the other books。 I suppose it was necessary for that story and I'm relieved that he has gone back to what was working so well for him。 I am really looking forward to reading the next installment of this series, although I cringe to consider what new Hell Mark is creating for Court。 I've never felt sorry for a fictional character before and that's a tribute to the writing skills of Mr。 Greaney。 。。。more

Not sure if the Zombie Apocalypse virus is reaching into the publishing world or what, but this is the 2nd normally GREAT series entry recently that fell quite flat。 There were times that The Gray Man seemed more like The Dayglo Orange, Glow in the Dark Man。 Court Gentry always lives up to his moniker。 Not in this novel。 There was too much "character development", and not enough action。 It picks up in the final 3rd and finishes strong。 While not the best Gray Man entry, still better than most。 Not sure if the Zombie Apocalypse virus is reaching into the publishing world or what, but this is the 2nd normally GREAT series entry recently that fell quite flat。 There were times that The Gray Man seemed more like The Dayglo Orange, Glow in the Dark Man。 Court Gentry always lives up to his moniker。 Not in this novel。 There was too much "character development", and not enough action。 It picks up in the final 3rd and finishes strong。 While not the best Gray Man entry, still better than most。 。。。more

Relentless is action packed as usual and thank god Mark Greaney is back to third person narrative for the Gray Man。 Also, Zoya has more role in this book…and I love kick ass female。 The climax in this one is really fun and Zac kinda steal the show。 Anyway, the ending of this book is like a TV series season finale; Court Gentry’s life is about to change again and when will I get book 11 !!!

Excellent! Another fantastic Gray Man novel with Court Gentry getting mixed up (and beat up) in a plot by a foreign power to try to entice the USA from entering into another war in the Middle East。 Good continuation of the series with Gentry getting to do some work with the other Poison Apple assets and direct intervention by DDO Matt Handley。 Characters are still entertaining and the book is full of action as usual。 Keep these books coming! Excellent narration for the audible version by Jay Syn Excellent! High octane -- okay for a driving companion but I think I'm done with the Gray Man。 High octane -- okay for a driving companion but I think I'm done with the Gray Man。 。。。more

Could not finish this book, too hard to follow the plot, and plethora of characters and organizations。

I've got a special penchant for contemporary spy thrillers set in Berlin (This is your fault, Berlin Station!), so getting a book from one of my favourite thriller series taking place largely in that city? Titled perfectly, Court Gentry is relentless!!Fast paced and action packed。 The Gray Man is always on his game! I always think this series can’t get any better and I’m always pleased to be wrong。 There are so many twists to the story you have to stay focused, seriously who’s not out to kill The Gray Man?!

Mark Greaney’s Gray Man was one of my best discoveries of this year! Mark Greaney does such a great job。 His research is amazing and he includes the most minute details to enhance his characters and his plot。 Once you read a Gray Man book, you will be hooked。 Cheering for an assassin might seem strange, but the Gray Man is an assassin with high morals。 He only “takes the garbage out” and only kills when the lives of others or his own are at risk。 I highly recommend this book along with all the G Mark Greaney’s Gray Man was one of my best discoveries of this year! The 10th book in the Gray Man series is just as much of a page turner as the first and many of the books in between。 As a sort of "edgier" version of an American James Bond, the Gray Man series has never failed to entertain。 Greaney seems to bring a more realistic and detailed description of action sequences to his novels, which I suppose is to be expected after working with Tom Clancy and the research and training he has done in the process of his writing。 If he writes an 11th, I'll absolutely The 10th book in the Gray Man series is just as much of a page turner as the first and many of the books in between。 As a sort of "edgier" version of an American James Bond, the Gray Man series has never failed to entertain。 Greaney seems to bring a more realistic and detailed description of action sequences to his novels, which I suppose is to be expected after working with Tom Clancy and the research and training he has done in the process of his writing。 If he writes an 11th, I'll absolutely be eagerly waiting to read it。 。。。more

Never a dull moment。 Usual Gray Man non-stop action。 Plot gets a little complicated so read carefully。

Relentless is the title of the latest Gray Man novel, an adjective used several times in the book to describe Court Gentry, and the pace that Greaney keeps up in this fabulous thriller。 There is a lot going on in this novel, but I appreciated the quick pace and constant action with lots of nice little twists thrown in。 Might be my favorite after the debut book。 Such a great series。

Matthew Chua

An enjoyable cliffhanger with every chapter。 Very well researched。 Characters are believable and intriguing。

Another five star readBack to 3rd person narration and I have to admit I like it better that way。I find it odd that both Orphan X and Court Gentry fought against drones in 2021 if you catch my drift but that won't stop me from tagging along with Gentry onto his next adventure。 Another five star readBack to 3rd person narration and I have to admit I like it better that way。I find it odd that both Orphan X and Court Gentry fought against drones in 2021 if you catch my drift but that won't stop me from tagging along with Gentry onto his next adventure。 。。。more

A big action international spy thriller, well crafted, and will definitely hold your attention, if this is your type of novel。。。 among the best。

Honestly, my main complaint is that it felt like there was slightly too much going on but I enjoyed the ride。

Bob Harkins

Actually more like a 3。5。 After 11 books things are getting like same old thing。

Carole Fox

Interesting plot, but too many characters and subplots, and it took too long to bring everything together。

John McPhee

Gray Man is the GOAT!Another spectacular compelling unputdownable global race against time to save the free world。 So well written and so fun - as always!!

Picks up within Weeks of the last book’s ending, meaning the gray man starts with pre-existing injuries。 This book is a little slower on action as it involves a lot of plot development。 The epilogue definitely opens up options for more exciting books。 In short, it’s not bad, but it’s also not the best in the series。

I really enjoy the grey man series, this one did not disappoint。 Looking forward to the next one。
