Summary

Este volumen puede ser un gran punto de inflexión。 El personaje de Isidro sigue demostrando ser un gran acierto， suponiendo una descarga de tensión y creando momentos divertidos。 Schierke y todo el tema de la brujería se presenta de forma ideal y parece ampliar mucho el universo de Berserk。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I think that the addition of magic isn’t bad at all it makes sense in context to the changing world after Griffith’s rebirth， not only is the world changing but our understanding of it must change too， i also like how much Guts’ crew is developing over this volume

3。5ish just a bit slower n heavier on the dialogue volume （dialogue isn’t bad but this dialogue just wasn’t the most interesting for me）， isidro being creepy wasn’t funny especially the groping， cool to see the depths of their world

This volume signifies when Berserk starts to get lighter。 Not a fan。 Some series can balance both darkness and light well。 Berserk is not one of those series。 It is always jarring and Miura has never found a way to make it work without it being stupid。 He goes from A song of Ice and Fire to panty jokes and it's just awful。 Miura seems to think comedy is the typical Japanese harem version， which does NOT work in Berserk。 This approach toward what he deems 'Humour' begins to slowly erode this seri This volume signifies when Berserk starts to get lighter。 Not a fan。 Some series can balance both darkness and light well。 Berserk is not one of those series。 It is always jarring and Miura has never found a way to make it work without it being stupid。 He goes from A song of Ice and Fire to panty jokes and it's just awful。 Miura seems to think comedy is the typical Japanese harem version， which does NOT work in Berserk。 This approach toward what he deems 'Humour' begins to slowly erode this series over time into mostly cheeky references and more panty jokes。 For example， the most recent chapter of Berserk that released in 2021 has Isidro looking up the skirts of little girls and declaring how determined he is to see their 'Pumpkin Panties' while Puck cosplays as Lord Sidious with a bunch of Star Wars fairy clones around him。 No 。 。 。 I am not making that up。 That really happens in the canon story。 You probably don't even believe me， but I swear on my life。 Look it up。 It just breaks my heart what mainly Isidro and Puck end up doing to this masterpiece narrative。 Don't even get me started on Chestnut Puck。 It hurts so much to see Miura do this to his own work。 It physically pains my heart。 。。。more

The story and world building are becoming much more fantastical and Guts has inadvertently gathered a group that’s reminiscent of an rpg party。 I’m still enjoying the series a lot， but this volume is focused on dumping a lot of info on the reader， it’s done well but it isn’t quite as compelling as other volumes。

I'm coming to love the little group that has assembled around Guts。This volume reinforces the ideas and themes of the series while also progressing this arc so the group is set to defend a town from an army of trolls on their journey to Puck's homeland。This volume can get more wordy then the last few buts it is just as good because it is not just spinning the wheels it's moving forward。5 stars。 I'm coming to love the little group that has assembled around Guts。This volume reinforces the ideas and themes of the series while also progressing this arc so the group is set to defend a town from an army of trolls on their journey to Puck's homeland。This volume can get more wordy then the last few buts it is just as good because it is not just spinning the wheels it's moving forward。5 stars。 。。。more

Kinda messed up how Puck went from being the worst character to the best character。 Also， I really dig Miura’s sense of pacing and building suspense。 The guy is really good at it。

BerserkVolume#24Introduction of Magic to the seriesA new addition to the team， Silke/Schierke， the young witch who her master believes that Gutts is her destiny;New Gear to the squad， blessed with magic，We get to see the Behielt and the Skelton guy once again，Then head to fight Trolls :p It seems like a filler volume， but I do not think it is， just laying the ground for things to come。The artwork is still great， a couple of colored pages at the beginning of the volume were great！

Volumes that build up a new arc/story tend to be slow， that entails vol。24。 The witchy magic， the elements are really interesting and kinda classic if I may add。 Serpico receiving/using his wind element sword was beautifuly illustrated and my favourite part of this volume。

Took a bit of a break in the middle of this one， as I tend to do with things。The art is gorgeous。 The worldbuilding and expanding is the kind of thing I crave。 The entire Spirit Tree Witch House thing is my jam。 I love how detailed Miura is in his use of Western myth， folklore， and magickal tradition。I took a breather， came back， and Berserk pulled me right back in。

Guts and his team have found a temporary hold of safety with a Witch in the woods。 A new team member joins the group and the element of danger in the village nearby is only just starting to reveal itself。
