This book was my gateway into colour psychology。 I can't look at the world the same way anymore。 And life feels easier。 Everything from choosing what to dress my toddler in, decorating cakes, choosing a bedspread, decorating my workspace, creating powerpoints。。。 It's seriously a gamechanger。 This book was my gateway into colour psychology。 I can't look at the world the same way anymore。 And life feels easier。 Everything from choosing what to dress my toddler in, decorating cakes, choosing a bedspread, decorating my workspace, creating powerpoints。。。 It's seriously a gamechanger。 。。。more

It’s a good read at very first, but then too many repetition over and over made me feel off。 Also that Thai people perceive & call out skies as blue, not green。

Beautiful little book, but lacked depth of knowledge and felt very anecdotal。 Would still recommend if you want to dip your toe into colour psychology。

Very interesting book, useful information about colors and even tests and pages where you can write your thoughts。 All this to find it easier to find the colors that suit you and how to use them to be happy and full of life。

This is a fun little book full of beautiful illustrations and photos。 It inspires you to be more conscious of how you use colour in your everyday life。 I did find it a bit wishy-washy in the it explains the different psychology aspects of colour。 It explains how we react emotionally to colour, but not the why as much。 For example, blue conveys "intellect and calm" but is that becuase we have been culturally conditioned to translate it that way。 Or is it actually an instinctual response。 My under This is a fun little book full of beautiful illustrations and photos。 It inspires you to be more conscious of how you use colour in your everyday life。 I did find it a bit wishy-washy in the it explains the different psychology aspects of colour。 It explains how we react emotionally to colour, but not the why as much。 For example, blue conveys "intellect and calm" but is that becuase we have been culturally conditioned to translate it that way。 Or is it actually an instinctual response。 My understanding of colour is that there are certain instinctual reaction (e。g。 red = caution as in nature it would most often be blood we were seeing with this colour)。 But that a lot of colour association is more around how we have treated colour, and there for been taught to associate it that way。 But this book didn't really delve into that too much。 It does touch on it。 But I suppose this is more of a practically focused book。 Looking at how to best use colour in your everyday life。 And for that it did well。 So, three stars becuase it was a good book。 Not quite what I wanted out of it, but still good。 A quick and pretty read。 But I wasn't blown away。 Just a little inspired to be more conscious of colour。 。。。more

I'd originally given this five stars but the more I thought about it the more I thought that wasn't quite right。 I really enjoyed this and found it both interesting and helpful (I've flagged the pages about colours I should wear and do look at them quite often now)。 It was a really easy read and the pictures and colours are absolutely amazing。 Having said that though I do think that there was quite a bit of 'pop' psychology included and I'd have liked a little more science mixed in with the warm I'd originally given this five stars but the more I thought about it the more I thought that wasn't quite right。 I really enjoyed this and found it both interesting and helpful (I've flagged the pages about colours I should wear and do look at them quite often now)。 It was a really easy read and the pictures and colours are absolutely amazing。 Having said that though I do think that there was quite a bit of 'pop' psychology included and I'd have liked a little more science mixed in with the warm and fuzzy stuff。 Haller however does include some really interesting tidbits about colour and why we're drawn to certain things so it's definitely worth the read if you're interested! 。。。more

The first part of the book was the most interesting information! It explains the symbolism and meaning of every colour and more。 The second half didn't interest me as much as I am not into fashion。 The first part of the book was the most interesting information! This book opened me up to a new field that I had very little understanding in。 When it comes to colour, I have the little to faintest idea on how to match it or make it make a statement。 Haller broke down various topics from the history of colour, how to perceive it and a detailed section on colour and our personalities。Personally, I got to understand what colours work for me; auntumn/earthy。 There's a few exercises that help you narrow down to a decision for example if you want to understand yo This book opened me up to a new field that I had very little understanding in。 When it comes to colour, I have the little to faintest idea on how to match it or make it make a statement。 Haller broke down various topics from the history of colour, how to perceive it and a detailed section on colour and our personalities。Personally, I got to understand what colours work for me; auntumn/earthy。 There's a few exercises that help you narrow down to a decision for example if you want to understand your favorite colour or your worst color。Finally, there's detailed ways to make colours work for you from your wardrobe, home and work。This is a book I highly recommend to someone interested in learning something new about colours, or they're curious about colours and their personalities and they're looking for ways to make the colours work for them。 。。。more

Really nice introduction for everyone who is is interested to use the power of colour to boost their well being。 I've enjoyed learning about different colour personalities and the tonal theory - if you wonder why the widely accepted colour wheel apllications do not always work, this is the answer! I think it could do with more images but that's my personal opinion。 Really nice introduction for everyone who is is interested to use the power of colour to boost their well being。 I've enjoyed learning about different colour personalities and the tonal theory - if you wonder why the widely accepted colour wheel apllications do not always work, this is the answer! The little book of colour is just that, the little book of colour, and there are very basic advice on how to use them, zero life transforming things。 This still makes for an interesting, light read。

Colorful and playful little book that game me a succinct intro into the psychology of colors。 I liked the author talked about various aspects of it and how it affects different parts of our daily life。 She also provided some steps on how potentially apply some things we learned in your real life which was nice addition as they sounded plausible and achievable。 Although I personally had one issue with this entire book - it was lacking depth。 In almost all chapters I felt that the details provided Colorful and playful little book that game me a succinct intro into the psychology of colors。 I liked the author talked about various aspects of it and how it affects different parts of our daily life。 She also provided some steps on how potentially apply some things we learned in your real life which was nice addition as they sounded plausible and achievable。 Although I personally had one issue with this entire book - it was lacking depth。 In almost all chapters I felt that the details provided were quite generalized and too short。 I know that you can't cram in entire knowledge of the field into a tiny book, but I feel that we could receive a bit more than just a couple of pages when talking about some of the fundamental parts of the entire field (e。g。 psychological traits of primary colors)。In the end, I would still recommend it to anyone who wants to have a nice brief overview of the field as it was a really easy and pleasant read。 As for me - I need to think about this book a bit more and potentially come back to it a bit later。 Maybe then my opinion will change。 。。。more
