LEARNING TO LISTEN
Shoya is a bully。 When Shoko， a girl who can’t hear， enters his elementary school class， she becomes their favorite target， and Shoya and his friends goad each other into devising new tortures for her。 But the children’s cruelty goes too far。 Shoko is forced to leave the school， and Shoya ends up shouldering all the blame。 Six years later， the two meet again。 Can Shoya make up for his past mistakes， or is it too late？

Estoy sorprendida porque con la información del primer tomo y si se hubiera hecho un background a detalle se podrían haber escrito varios libros y tranquilamente ser eso la historia。 Así que estoy muy intrigada de cual va a ser el hilo conductor a partir de ahora。 La historia es bonita aunque estoy un poco confundida de cual va a ser el tema que ocupe los 6 tomos restantes。

I don't know how to rate this first volume because I feel weird either way。 I don't want to give it a high rating but I also don't want to give it a mid or low rating。 I will continue reading the manga， and probably watch the movie because this story has peaked my interest。 I was bullied in elementary school and I remember how hard it was。 It wasn't as remotely cruel as what happened to Nishimiya， but it was still bullying。 I think that has a play in why I just can't rate Volume 1。 I don't know how to rate this first volume because I feel weird either way。 I don't want to give it a high rating but I also don't want to give it a mid or low rating。 I will continue reading the manga， and probably watch the movie because this story has peaked my interest。 I was bullied in elementary school and I remember how hard it was。 It wasn't as remotely cruel as what happened to Nishimiya， but it was still bullying。 I think that has a play in why I just can't rate Volume 1。 。。。more

This is so heartfelt。 This book although may look as if an anti bullying book， it’s far more than that。 This also highlights that all changes a person go through are not to the worst， and that a bully can change in to a completely different human

Intriguing introduction to this series。 However， something was missing for me to give the full five stars， but I can't put my finger on what was quite missing maybe the plot was a little all over the place at times。 On the other hand， I enjoyed the character development in this volume as the bully got to feel what it was liked to be treated like rubbish and general concept of disability of hearing difficulties。 Hopefully， the next volume has more fast track plot and more focus on others becoming Intriguing introduction to this series。 However， something was missing for me to give the full five stars， but I can't put my finger on what was quite missing maybe the plot was a little all over the place at times。 On the other hand， I enjoyed the character development in this volume as the bully got to feel what it was liked to be treated like rubbish and general concept of disability of hearing difficulties。 Hopefully， the next volume has more fast track plot and more focus on others becoming more understanding of disabilities。 。。。more

I've seen some insinuations that the main character is too ignominious。 However， I must disagree。 Shoya is a profoundly troubled young man who inquires to make amends with the girl he used to mistreat， and though he executes mistakes， it's what makes him a raw and realistic character。 We've all done things we regret; ones we can overcome and ultimately learn from。 I admired following his growth throughout the movie， and while I fancied Shouko and the other personas， I found Shoya to be the most I've seen some insinuations that the main character is too ignominious。 However， I must disagree。 Shoya is a profoundly troubled young man who inquires to make amends with the girl he used to mistreat， and though he executes mistakes， it's what makes him a raw and realistic character。 We've all done things we regret; ones we can overcome and ultimately learn from。 I admired following his growth throughout the movie， and while I fancied Shouko and the other personas， I found Shoya to be the most enthralling。 This movie also examines more unpropitious themes like self-loathing and suicide very well， ultimately giving a message of hope that we so hopelessly need in this day and age。 In conclusion， A Silent Voice is a brilliant， moving masterpiece jam-packed in one book。 。。。more
