It's the beginning of the end。 Start the clock。 However you want to say it, we are now on the road to the first scene of the series with the introduction of Kawaki。 Verdict: Oh, I am so not looking forward to this。 Mentally, I am peeking above the blankets and looking through my fingers。 It's the beginning of the end。 Start the clock。 However you want to say it, we are now on the road to the first scene of the series with the introduction of Kawaki。 Verdict: Oh, I am so not looking forward to this。 Mentally, I am peeking above the blankets and looking through my fingers。 。。。more

The vesselWow。 The plot thickens。 Not only did we have powerful new enemies but maybe a equally powerful ally。 I really enjoy how Naruto is still able to be compassionate while being the Hokage。 Can't wait to get more information on that mark。 The vesselWow。 The plot thickens。 Not only did we have powerful new enemies but maybe a equally powerful ally。 I really enjoy how Naruto is still able to be compassionate while being the Hokage。 Can't wait to get more information on that mark。 。。。more

Boruto has of course acquired his own mysterious power since he can't inherit his dad's。。。 it's almost more similar to Sasuke's old curse mark except this wasn't voluntary。 It's cool how it ties into the past。 Kawaki is a neat character。 Is this the volume where Naruto had to break up the fight (with a shadow clone) while he was on the toilet? Because his line about "I can't even take a dump in peace" resonates with every parent everywhere, hahaha。。。。 Boruto has of course acquired his own mysterious power since he can't inherit his dad's。。。 it's almost more similar to Sasuke's old curse mark except this wasn't voluntary。 It's cool how it ties into the past。 Kawaki is a neat character。 Is this the volume where Naruto had to break up the fight (with a shadow clone) while he was on the toilet? A nice mix of action and comedy。 I think the new kid is deffo gonna spice up this series。The first two chapters provide a lot of action involving the mark Boruto and Kawaki share。 Kawaki is powerful and kinda stubborn。 Without spoiling anything, he makes angsty teenage Sasuke look friendly。 Boruto and Kawaki’s equally rebellious attitudes certainly bring back a similar vibe to the Naruto-Sasuke relationship, and plenty of humour。One of my favourite parts was the time spent in the Uzumaki home。 N A nice mix of action and comedy。 I think the new kid is deffo gonna spice up this series。The first two chapters provide a lot of action involving the mark Boruto and Kawaki share。 Kawaki is powerful and kinda stubborn。 Without spoiling anything, he makes angsty teenage Sasuke look friendly。 Boruto and Kawaki’s equally rebellious attitudes certainly bring back a similar vibe to the Naruto-Sasuke relationship, and plenty of humour。One of my favourite parts was the time spent in the Uzumaki home。 Naruto’s presence strengthens the dynamic, and for once we get to see his role as a father and not just Hokage。 (view spoiler)[I loved how Kawaki’s situation as a dangerous child brought out the kindness in Naruto。 This was always my favourite thing about him, how he would be so persistent in helping anyone, no matter how far gone。 His patience matched his slick ninja abilities- like nope , you just can’t out-ninja Naruto。 (hide spoiler)] He even reminded me of Minato。While the action in the first half was great, the more chilled out, comedic scenes of the latter half were just what this series needed, bathroom scenes and all 😉Also, don’t ya just love it when Mitsuki drops big news so calm 🤣 。。。more

This was a pretty good volume as we have the group encountering Kawaki and there is some interesting face off and then we have him go Karma mode and face this assassin of Kara named Garou and the way he defeats him is just so awesome and we learn he is the Vessel, after that they go to Konoha and they try to understand his nature and then we have Naruto take him in his house to watch over him and then we have some great moments between Kawaki and Boruto and learn of his origin with Jigen and how This was a pretty good volume as we have the group encountering Kawaki and there is some interesting face off and then we have him go Karma mode and face this assassin of Kara named Garou and the way he defeats him is just so awesome and we learn he is the Vessel, after that they go to Konoha and they try to understand his nature and then we have Naruto take him in his house to watch over him and then we have some great moments between Kawaki and Boruto and learn of his origin with Jigen and how he got this mark and its quite cool! Some interesting revelations here though! And Naruto finally! Ah so good to see him! The manga has reached a good midpoint till now and I am getting excited about the future prospects and developments to come! 。。。more

In this volume, Kawaki is the main plot focus from his fight from the guy from Kara to his fights with Boruto。 Kawaki fights off a guy called Gorou, who wants to take him back to Jigen, who seems to be the leader of kara。 It is during this fight that the abilites of Kawaki are on display。 His two main assets are his Karma mark which absorbes attacks, and his mechanical modification。 Which Katesuke described as being celluar modifications。 To me this sounds like nanotechnology。 With these mechaic In this volume, Kawaki is the main plot focus from his fight from the guy from Kara to his fights with Boruto。 Kawaki fights off a guy called Gorou, who wants to take him back to Jigen, who seems to be the leader of kara。 It is during this fight that the abilites of Kawaki are on display。 His two main assets are his Karma mark which absorbes attacks, and his mechanical modification。 Which Katesuke described as being celluar modifications。 To me this sounds like nanotechnology。 With these mechaical modications he can harden and soften his body。 It's like he has Kimimaro's bone weapons and Mitsuki's screchy limbs。 Thought he only showed the hardening abilities during the fight。 Which implies he has more abilites yet to be shown。 After the fight with Gorou was over, Naruto took Kawaki home to stay with him。 Naruto said it was to gain his trust。 As he thought confiding him in a cell would only make him more warry。 While it might sound like a good plan on paper it does seem to place Hinata and Himawari in alot of danger, the whole village as well。 From both Kawaki and the members of Kara who want to retrive him。 After the serious fight is over Kawaki has many small conflicts with Boruto。 They are trying to parrel the relationship Naruto had with sasuke using Kawaki。 It think the sasuke dynamic is plenty filled by both Sarada and Mitsuki。 Sarada has the Name calling and Rival part。 Where Mitsuki has more the be the sun to my moon dynamtic。 Which are the more pleasent and nostalgics parts of Naruto and Sasuke's relationship。 The only part for Kawaki to fill would be the homicidle compounent of sasuke during the shipppuden era。 Which would not work with Kawaki since Boruto is not that attacked to him。 To me Kawaki remineds me more of Gaara。 The relationship that could develp between Boruto and Kawaki should be more like the Naruto Gaara friendship。 They meet when they where 12 and karma are reminicent of the power and trama of being a jinchuriki。It was nice to see Hinata and Himawari in the manga althought thier appearnce was limited。 This might be the one area I prefer the anime over the manga, the amont of time we get to see Hinata and Himawari。 Overall decent volume, I liked that action in the begining。 The only thing I did not really like was that this story is trying to force the Sasuke and Naruto parrel between Boruto and Kawaki。 When Kawaki really remineds me more of Gaara。 。。。more

The story gets rolling in this one and the new Naruto/Sasuke rivalry is born through Boruto and Kawaki。 Kawaki doesn’t seem to be as full on nasty as Sasuke but we’ll see how long that lasts。 I liked getting to see (view spoiler)[ Naruto go into nine tails mode, (hide spoiler)]even if it was just to settle Kawaki down。 I’m definitely not a fan of the villain, though。 I don’t like any of the group so far。 They’re all very edgy。 Summary for my reference: (view spoiler)[Number 24: Kawaki – The cha The story gets rolling in this one and the new Naruto/Sasuke rivalry is born through Boruto and Kawaki。 Kawaki doesn’t seem to be as full on nasty as Sasuke but we’ll see how long that lasts。 I liked getting to see (view spoiler)[ Naruto go into nine tails mode, (hide spoiler)]even if it was just to settle Kawaki down。 I’m definitely not a fan of the villain, though。 I don’t like any of the group so far。 They’re all very edgy。 Summary for my reference: (view spoiler)[Number 24: Kawaki – The chapter starts with a weird scene between two Kara members, Jigen and Delta。 Jigen appears to be the leader of the group and Delta is a rare female。 She’s worried about them losing their vessel, so Jigen says she can check up on Koji as long as she doesn’t interfere with what he’s doing。 Back with the Boruto gang, the mysterious boy awakens and displays a flashy power。 The group argues with the boy, who thinks they are from Kara sent to retrieve him, despite their protests。 Boruto and the boy both have a “karma” or the curse mark。 Delta brought a minor henchman along, who attacks the group。 The boy fights him with an ability to transform his arm into a blade。Number 25: Resonance – The boy and the henchman fight, but the boy loses。 Boruto’s mark reacts to the boy being in danger, which causes the boy’s mark to react and he regains consciousness and attacks the henchman。 This time he wins。 Curiously, Boruto’s mark seems to activate simultaneously with the boy’s。 They argue about the mark, with the boy not trusting Boruto and worried that he is with Kara。 Koji decides not to pursue the issue and allow the leaf village to take the boy after he falls unconscious。 Dr Tohno Katasuke explains to the group that the boy’s body seems to be in itself a ninja tool。 Mitsuki asks if he is a clone like him, but Katasuke says that the boy was “modeled into something inhuman using inorganic methods。” They bring the boy to the leaf village。Number 26: A Present – I don’t remember when we find out his name but I’m tired of calling him “the boy。” He’s Kawaki。 Anyway before waking up in a leaf village hospital, Kawaki has a flashback。 He was sold by his abusive father to Jigen years ago, who was collecting young boys to use for some experiment where he like injects his blood or something in them。 Most of them die。 Kawaki is supposedly the only survivor。 Jigen is a weirdo about it though and in the flashbacks insists Kawaki calls him father。 Anyway, Naruto and Shikamaru come to talk with Kawaki, but he freaks out and tries to escape。 They gently stop him from escaping and explain that they won’t hurt him but they need to keep him around。 Naruto holds a meeting with the other kages and they agree that leaf village should keep an eye on him, but Gaara agrees with Naruto that he shouldn’t be a prisoner, since they have experience being jinchuriki。 Naruto brings Kawai home to live with him。 Kawaki freaks out a bit more and a vase breaks in the process。 Naruto ends up going into nine tails mode to show Kawaki how powerful he is and why he should stop freaking out。 Boruto arrives and argues with Kawaki about breaking the vase, which apparently was made by Himawari。 Kawaki apologizes but there is definitely bad blood between the two boys。 Number 27: Breakdown in Negotiations!! – Boruto and Kawaki wake up in the morning and argue about who gets to use the bathroom。 They end up literally peeing together outside on a fence。 Nasty。 Anyway they fight and Naruto has to break them up。 This is where we get more flashback about Kawaki’s past, but I already explained it earlier because it was easier to say it all at once。 Kawaki confides his past in Boruto and asks about his mark。 Boruto guilt trips him again about the vase so he resolves to try to go find a new one to buy。 The scene ends with Boruto walking off in a huff。 (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

Ahh yes。 I knew this story was missing something since Sasuke mellowed out。 Meet Kawaki, the new edgelord of this Naruto continuation。 If his attitude wasn’t clue enough, his backstory is dark enough to be worthy of a D&D rogue。 Honestly, I kinda like him。 He evens out the story by providing internal conflict, whereas most of this story is external conflict。 I will say it feels like they rushed into his ‘dark past reveal’ but it does leave out enough that you want to know more。
