This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This book was amazing！ I’m so excited for the third book coming out next month。 Kingdom of Flesh and Fire was better than From Blood and Ash in my opinion。 The ONE thing I didn’t like （except for there being no threesome between Kieran， Casteel and Poppy） was how Poppy asked questions constantly for the world building and sometimes whole chapters were a bore because of long explanations。 Although， many of them were most likely necessary。 I definitely would recommend！

WHAT DID JUST HAPPEN HERE？！This book was so much better than the first one！！！！ I little too slow paced at the beginning but nothing like the first book。 We get to pull the layers of this beautiful world one by one！ There’s so much to discover still！ I just need all the answers like nooow！I just need to know what happened to Poppy the night of the Craven’s attack seriously！ The mystery behind it is killing me！！！ （Yes， I’m bringing all of the exclamation marks I can）。AND THE BATTLE SCENE （the last WHAT DID JUST HAPPEN HERE？！This book was so much better than the first one！！！！ I little too slow paced at the beginning but nothing like the first book。 We get to pull the layers of this beautiful world one by one！ There’s so much to discover still！ I just need all the answers like nooow！I just need to know what happened to Poppy the night of the Craven’s attack seriously！ The mystery behind it is killing me！！！ （Yes， I’m bringing all of the exclamation marks I can）。AND THE BATTLE SCENE （the last and big one） i couldn’t put it down for a second， let’s not forget the steamy scene afterward。 I’m giving all my money to Jennifer L。 Armentrout， seriously！I’m so in love with Casteel and Poppy， even tho I wanted to kill both of them every second of this book， the pretending bullshit between them was driving me crazy （yes， I’m also swearing now）。Noooooow， Kieran。。。I’m just so in love with this character， I really want to see more and more about him。。。and I’m crossing my fingers to see some Joining ceremony soon。。。。。I really loved some side characters like Delano， he was really funny， Vonetta and Jasper， it was so nice to meet Kieran’s family and I couldn’t stop laughing with them。。。Tho， can’t say the same about Alastir， I just can’t trust him！ 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I think From Blood and Ash and Kingdom of Flesh and Fire have two different vibes， it’s hard to really compare them out。 The first one you get really excited but also annoyed while reading it cause you think you got it all figured but the plot carries the most overwhelming betrayal i’ve read until now？？ like we all knew it was coming but the flavor of it？？？ delicious… Now the second one？ Enemies to lovers combined with marriage of convenience is the best mix of tropes and you cannot convince me I think From Blood and Ash and Kingdom of Flesh and Fire have two different vibes， it’s hard to really compare them out。 The first one you get really excited but also annoyed while reading it cause you think you got it all figured but the plot carries the most overwhelming betrayal i’ve read until now？？ like we all knew it was coming but the flavor of it？？？ delicious… Now the second one？ Enemies to lovers combined with marriage of convenience is the best mix of tropes and you cannot convince me otherwise！！！ So I was forced to give 5 stars for both of them！！ Can’t wait to see what next one holds for me！！！！Casteel is the best book boyfriend ever， I was obliged to choose him over my favorites ones… and I still believe it’s impossible that a man like him will ever be born…Well from now on the feeding scene lives rent free on my mind！！ I’m hoping we get to see some polyamory between our dearest Poppy， Cas and Kieran…I’m even praying every night for Poppy to go through the joining！ 🪔I kept laughing the entire book， their conversations are so fun to read and really captivating！！ Do I have any complains？ Well I didn’t enjoyed the fucking during a battle？？ It went against everything they stood by， they always seemed so concerned with the lives of innocents at jeopardy？？？ I also found it disrespectful to those who fell in that battle！！ Cas jealousy was kind of a boomer too， seemed to forced kind of just throw out there？ Didn’t get it at all。。。The young wolf betrayal？？ I refuse to sat his name， I really was rooting for him！ What a dumb puppy， following his fucking uncle？ I don’t care abou their relativeness… Can’t wait to see his excuses！！ So I can forgive his little ass！ Alistair， I’m really hoping you get your ass chopped by Poppy！！！！ And I have to say that I kind of love Delano？ I don’t know exactly why， I think he is really amusing！ He was one of the first ones to show some signs of a connection with Poppy， I was even guessing they could be bounded in the future！！ Even more because he was always trying to stay close and protected Poppy during the fight scenes！！ I wish we get to see him more 🥺💖I couldn’t guess how the ending could be so intriguing lol I really wasn’t expecting that！！ That scene is one of my favorite ones of the series， the power！！！！ So delicious！ Let’s see what awaits us！！ 。。。more

I don't know why I bothered after the train wreck that was the first book。 Casteel / Hawke gets even more abusive and then suddenly turns into the perfect husband （newsflash: this doesn't happen in real life。 Abusive partners only get worse， especially after you marry them）。She becomes even more of a cliche special snowflake magical girl and discovers new powers every chapter， increasingly more powerful （she glows。。。）。 She gets omens from the gods， like a bloody tree growing overnight （twice）， n I don't know why I bothered after the train wreck that was the first book。 Casteel / Hawke gets even more abusive and then suddenly turns into the perfect husband （newsflash: this doesn't happen in real life。 Abusive partners only get worse， especially after you marry them）。She becomes even more of a cliche special snowflake magical girl and discovers new powers every chapter， increasingly more powerful （she glows。。。）。 She gets omens from the gods， like a bloody tree growing overnight （twice）， night during daytime （which somehow approves of their marriage）， goddess-shaped mist saving her， and finally a blood rain。Again nothing much happens until about 80% of the book， except for lots of graphic sex。 Then in the last 2 pages a ton of very vague new information is dumped on us （again） with a large amount of worldbuilding inconsistencies and handwaving （again）。 She's the granddaughter of the Ascended queen？ Maybe？ She's a descendant of the king of the gods？ Who knows？ Nothing is explained （again）。 。。。more

I enjoyed the first book in the series enough that I made it to 60% of this one before giving up。 I believe actual YA crowd might enjoy this a lot。 90% of what I have read so far was endless conversations containing of mind-numbing info dump， girl denying yet examining in minute detail her feelings for a very pretty， sexy， and rebellious （of course！） boy， sex scenes， some bordering on assault， but oh-so-thrilling-and-delicious， all slowly-but-inevitably leading towards a threesome （I didn’t get I enjoyed the first book in the series enough that I made it to 60% of this one before giving up。 I believe actual YA crowd might enjoy this a lot。 90% of what I have read so far was endless conversations containing of mind-numbing info dump， girl denying yet examining in minute detail her feelings for a very pretty， sexy， and rebellious （of course！） boy， sex scenes， some bordering on assault， but oh-so-thrilling-and-delicious， all slowly-but-inevitably leading towards a threesome （I didn’t get that far， but I betcha！！！）。 About 10% was actual action and plot progression。 Perfect for you if that’s what you love in your fantasy。 Me？ DNF at 60%。 。。。more

I loved this book even more than ‘From Blood + Ash’。 The book kicks off where FBAA left off which was great。I love how the characters and relationships were really expanded， especially the development of Casteel and Poppy’s relationship from ‘pretend’ to real。 I really enjoyed learning about their marriage customs and traditions too。It was great to learn more about Atlantia， I feel like the world grew much bigger in this volume。 I’m super interested in the different abilities and Gods too so I h I loved this book even more than ‘From Blood + Ash’。 The book kicks off where FBAA left off which was great。I love how the characters and relationships were really expanded， especially the development of Casteel and Poppy’s relationship from ‘pretend’ to real。 I really enjoyed learning about their marriage customs and traditions too。It was great to learn more about Atlantia， I feel like the world grew much bigger in this volume。 I’m super interested in the different abilities and Gods too so I hope the next book delves even deeper into this！ I have so many suspicions and questions that I need answering - especially surrounding that ending！！ I am so excited for Crown of Gilded Bones - one month and counting！！ 。。。more
