Action packedThis volume was straight to the point。 We had battle, the five kage and redemption all wrapped in one。 Felt like soon as I flipped the page it was over。 That was also a nice cliffhanger。

Oof, Boruto, you got yourself into a pickle! While I cannot say what happen with the Chunin Exams, I am going to talk around some things and I will make some connections to the anime。 I will talk about the anime and the manga connections first。 Anime vs。 MangaThe anime seem to really focus on the nostalgia as well as the Naruto connections while they try to focus on Boruto's claim that this is his story。 The manga does a better job with that for it is covering material that does not happen until Oof, Boruto, you got yourself into a pickle! While I cannot say what happen with the Chunin Exams, I am going to talk around some things and I will make some connections to the anime。 I will talk about the anime and the manga connections first。 Anime vs。 MangaThe anime seem to really focus on the nostalgia as well as the Naruto connections while they try to focus on Boruto's claim that this is his story。 The manga does a better job with that for it is covering material that does not happen until the later seasons and a movie, I believe。 Discovering Dad 1。0We all know Boruto has a low opinion of his father。 Part of it stems from the fact that Naruto doesn't seem to be juggling his Hokage duties and familial duties very well。 Boruto doesn't get it, but this volume is where Bortuo starts to realize more about his Dad。 There are these 3 pages have great visuals of Naruto's back and then a side profile with Sasuke's words: "He was once。。。a quintessential loser full of weaknesses。 But he pulled himself up with his own strength。。。and became the hokage。 Instead of the Naruto of today, you should study。。。who Nauto was in the past。" At the word "past," we get Naruto's profile。 That gave me chills for it was such a powerful moment。 Slap with RealityWhen Sasuke talks to Boruto later on in the story, he gives a speech that personally reminds me of Sasuke's journey then Boruto。 Yet, this part gave me hope for Boruto's and Naruto's father and son relationship, due to Boruto's response。 The Kage SquadI loved the posed by the Kage! They just look so cool and I am just a sucker for a good pose with a heroic line。 Also in this panel, I realized that Gaara is the only current Kage, who was in the original series。 Everybody else didn't become Kage until after those events to the best of my knowledge。 This means Gaara is the most experienced in his duties as a Kage。 A Little Bit of Suffering Goes a Long Way I don't think anyone likes pain and suffering, but I think good can come out of it。 Too much or too little suffering can affect someone in a negative way。 You have to have something to set your mind on if there is suffering。 If you are me then you focus on God。 If you are the characters in Naruto then you focus on your personal creed that seems to be rooted in some deep moral principles。 Once you set your mind on something that is bigger than yourself then your suffering and pain makes it all worthwhile as well as polishes you into a better person。 Naruto had a lot of suffering, but as Sasuke says Naruto pulled himself up。 He kept moving。 In the Naruto, Naruto was all about not giving up no matter what happens。 Sasuke is being a villain? Naruto is going to get him back。 World coming to an end? Not on Naruto's watch。 Too much suffering you get Sasuke and too little suffering you get Boruto。 Boruto and his friends grew up in world of peace, where suffering was practically eliminated。 There was not a lot of suffering that could sharpen him into a better person。 Naruto did not help either with his lectures, but Boruto always had the choice to behave better, despite his Dad's blunders。 That is why I love these two pages where this point was kind of mentioned。 For Boruto at least, it is better for him to know his Dad's past than any lecture Naruto could give him。 Verdict: Things got good at the end of this volume! 。。。more

I think that boruto has shown a lot of his ignorance in this volume, but also showed his grit and potential to become a ninja。 I think that what I got from this is that, ignorant people show more potential than good people, since they have a lot of ways to improve, and I think that this is the advantage that boruto has。 He will show us his improvement throughout the volumes and chapters。 I hope to see more fights though, because it seems a bit boring。 I really hate people who are like boruto, a I think that boruto has shown a lot of his ignorance in this volume, but also showed his grit and potential to become a ninja。 I think that what I got from this is that, ignorant people show more potential than good people, since they have a lot of ways to improve, and I think that this is the advantage that boruto has。 He will show us his improvement throughout the volumes and chapters。 I hope to see more fights though, because it seems a bit boring。 I really hate people who are like boruto, a bit spoiled and very ignorant, but I'm excited to see him change。 I also hope to see more of Sarada and Mitsuki。 。。。more

WHY THE PICTURE OF MINATO DOES NOT LOOK LIKE HIM ? I have to say that I love the fact that we are entering a war from the start, action is priceless。 Naruto is in danger and Sasuke and the kages are trying to protect them alongside Boruto。I like the fact that Boruto is the disciple of Sasuke and they are like family。 I would love to see Sarada being the disciple of the 7th。

I really like the added content of the anime。 The manga is too fast-paced and lacks action compared to its anime adaptation。 Perhaps it's because of the constraints that come with the comic book medium。 However, I still adore the plot。 It's just so mysterious to me and it always pique my interest。In this volume, I couldn't help but vibe with Momoshiki's character design。 I love his aesthetics。 In the end, the action scenes turned out to be an avalanche of spectacle。 I really like it! 7。5/10Super action packed and fast paced。 Takes the role of retelling the story from the movie, so for some that’ll be hit or miss。 But for me, I have no problems with a series starting off fast。 Usually the problem is the opposite, starting off way too slow。

Rebeckah Sypik

Naruto has been captured so Sasuke brings Boruto and the rest of the kage to rescue him。 It was a pretty decent fight between the rescue party and the aliens。

Pele Manivanh

it had more scenes and description than the anime

The pacing is still a bit fast more me, but I'm enjoying exploring the various shades to the father/son relationship here。 The differences between Naruto and Boruto and the conflicts caused by their assumptions and expectations of each other are quite compelling for a teen manga。 The pacing is still a bit fast more me, but I'm enjoying exploring the various shades to the father/son relationship here。 The differences between Naruto and Boruto and the conflicts caused by their assumptions and expectations of each other are quite compelling for a teen manga。 。。。more

A decade or so of Naruto paid of with a nostalgic moment。 Sure, I saw it coming a mile away, but it still hit me。
