An incredible book, especially considering when it was written (more than 80 years have passed since it was first published) and how well it remains relevant today。 I will for sure return to it to review and consolidate my understanding of it。

A very uneven mix。 Some of the chapters about desire, faith and autosuggestion are great but a lot of the later chapters just didn’t ring true for me。 It was a real slog to get through those parts of the book。

Good read but not very useful in today's time considering the book was written in 1937 and now we are in 2021。 Good read but not very useful in today's time considering the book was written in 1937 and now we are in 2021。 。。。more

"One of the tricks of opportunity。 It has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat。 Perhaps this is why so many fail to recognize opportunity。" "One of the tricks of opportunity。 It has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat。 Perhaps this is why so many fail to recognize opportunity。" 。。。more

The book is very practical。 Although it's directed to accumulating wealthy, the lessons might be applied to any goal you might have。 Napoleon states that success starts with mindset and gives us many tasks to accomplish in order to have a mindset that will allow us to pursue sucess。 I found most of this tasks valuable and still up to date even though they were published 80 years ago。 Many stuff from the book is outdated and parts of his vision is clearly of someone who was born in the 1880's。。 H The book is very practical。 Although it's directed to accumulating wealthy, the lessons might be applied to any goal you might have。 Napoleon states that success starts with mindset and gives us many tasks to accomplish in order to have a mindset that will allow us to pursue sucess。 I found most of this tasks valuable and still up to date even though they were published 80 years ago。 Many stuff from the book is outdated and parts of his vision is clearly of someone who was born in the 1880's。。 However, if you can abstract this and absorb only the timeless parts of the book, which is 80% or 90% of it, I'm sure you can learn or be reminded of valuable and practical lessons that can help you achieve your goals。 。。。more

I appreciate the basic tenants of positive thinking; however, what I disliked about this book is that I don't find Napoleon Hill to be overly scrupulous。 For example, he touts his relationship with Carnegie as long-lasting but I found a video of Hill speaking about Carnegie and he mispronounces Carnegie's name。 I feel like someone who spent years learning form the legend would at least know how to pronounce the man's name。 Also, Carnegie's biographer can find no records of the two ever meeting。 I appreciate the basic tenants of positive thinking; however, what I disliked about this book is that I don't find Napoleon Hill to be overly scrupulous。 For example, he touts his relationship with Carnegie as long-lasting but I found a video of Hill speaking about Carnegie and he mispronounces Carnegie's name。 I feel like someone who spent years learning form the legend would at least know how to pronounce the man's name。 Also, Carnegie's biographer can find no records of the two ever meeting。 At most, it was probably a flippant exchange, not long-lasting。 Second, Hill himself has been quoted as saying that some of his interactions are exaggerated。 I think Hill was a marketer who had no problem being a bit of a con man。 。。。more

Even doe this is not the original copy of the book, it still has the critical principle from the original manuscript just added a few bits to it。 Another that it’s still of the most excellent book of all time highly recommend people to understand how to make money & all their desires to come true。

Wow, this book was so in-depth that I had to read it slowly and carefully。 Even now, after just completing it, I know that I have to read it again。 The journey that Mr。 Hill went through to document and learn about the secrets of success from some of the most successful men is amazing。 Reading this book has opened my eyes to the many excuses and alibis as Mr。 Hill calls them that I personally use for not succeeding or having the life I want。I feel very exposed and sadden by this realisation。 How Wow, this book was so in-depth that I had to read it slowly and carefully。 Even now, after just completing it, I know that I have to read it again。 The journey that Mr。 Hill went through to document and learn about the secrets of success from some of the most successful men is amazing。 Reading this book has opened my eyes to the many excuses and alibis as Mr。 Hill calls them that I personally use for not succeeding or having the life I want。I feel very exposed and sadden by this realisation。 However, it is necessary to examine ourselves and learn from our analysis in order to course-correct。This was definitely a mind-shifting book and one that requires more patient and frequent reading。 I really liked the fact that Mr。 Hill included many practical tips and soul-searching questions to help you reap the benefits of the book。 Definitely a must-read for anyone hoping to lead a successful life and let go of limiting beliefs。 。。。more

Best book for beginners who start the reading book

I couldn’t decide if it was a 3 or 4 star book for me。 Basically i agree with his principles for achieving something, I read the book by accepting money as a metaphor for any kind of goal you want to achieve。 Some parts were motivational considering the year it was written, but there were some examples that i didn’t agree。 All in all, it inspired me at some points but my expectations were maybe higher i don’t know, so 3 stars。

The book disappointed me! To me it was like useless human development books which are made to sell nothing but useless motivation。However, The book added one or two new thoughts for (This is far less than I expected, honestly)The author urged the reader to re-read the book several times, but I am definitely bot going to。
