On a Beam of Light: A Story of Albert Einstein (Albert Einstein Book for Kids, Books About Scientists for Kids, Biographies for Kids, Kids Science Books)
This book would be an excellent way to introduce primary pupils to the world of Albert Einstein。 It explains the life he led and what he discovered without it being too confusing or hard to understand。 I would personally love to use this books as an introduction to a science topic relating to Einstein as I feel it would help to encourage all the pupils to get involved in science no matter what they have been told about the abilities in the past。 I also really love the last two pages of the book This book would be an excellent way to introduce primary pupils to the world of Albert Einstein。 It explains the life he led and what he discovered without it being too confusing or hard to understand。 I would personally love to use this books as an introduction to a science topic relating to Einstein as I feel it would help to encourage all the pupils to get involved in science no matter what they have been told about the abilities in the past。 I also really love the last two pages of the book as these give more detail into Einsteins experiments as well as what his personality was like。 Overall, I feel that this is an extremely well written book and I would love to utilise it in a primary classroom。 。。。more

An introduction to Einstein for kids。 Interesting, but perhaps too brief。 My child was left with more questions than answers。 The author's note at the back helped fill in some of the missing information。 An introduction to Einstein for kids。 Interesting, but perhaps too brief。 My child was left with more questions than answers。 The author's note at the back helped fill in some of the missing information。 。。。more

This was an adorable story about Albert Einstein and his journey to becoming the man we all know as a genius。 I also love how at the end of the book they included some of Einstein's discoveries。 The artwork throughout was so cute and the color paper background was a cute addition to the book。 Would recommend for a class learning about Einstein or for a curious child who might one day discover something amazing (all children)! Perfect for ages 5-10。 This was an adorable story about Albert Einstein and his journey to becoming the man we all know as a genius。 I also love how at the end of the book they included some of Einstein's discoveries。 The artwork throughout was so cute and the color paper background was a cute addition to the book。 Would recommend for a class learning about Einstein or for a curious child who might one day discover something amazing (all children)! Readers will follow Einstein on a journey filled with excitement, laughter, and scientific exploration in "On A Beam of Light。" A curious, creative young boy grows into one of the most brilliant minds that transforms life as we know it。 He hardly spoke as a child and isn't like the other students, nor does he want to be。 Jennifer Berne and Vladimir Radunsky invite readers to join Einstein on an adventure filled with excitement, fun, and scientific exploration in this book。 This book appealed to Readers will follow Einstein on a journey filled with excitement, laughter, and scientific exploration in "On A Beam of Light。" A curious, creative young boy grows into one of the most brilliant minds that transforms life as we know it。 He hardly spoke as a child and isn't like the other students, nor does he want to be。 Jennifer Berne and Vladimir Radunsky invite readers to join Einstein on an adventure filled with excitement, fun, and scientific exploration in this book。 This book appealed to me because it is an excellent way for children to learn about Albert Einstein's life and work。 This is an excellent way of introducing young readers to the renowned physicist who never stopped questioning the world。 I love how well the charming illustrations brighten each page, highlighting the story's core message about the importance of creativity and how it should be nurtured rather than crushed。 Every word was enjoyable to me as an aspiring teacher。 The article is well-written and instructive。 It would be wonderful to be able to tell this story to my future students in a way that they can comprehend such a wonderful person! 。。。more

An informative introductory book about Albert Einstein to young readers and listeners。 While On a Beam of Light only gives a quick gloss over the time-line and some of the facts about Einstein’s life, it does what all good picture book biographies do: inspires people to want to learn more。

Written by Jennifer Berne and illustrated by the equally fantastic Vladimir Radunsky, this picture book takes us right through Einstein's life。 From those initial years and his reluctance/delay in talking to the final ones where he constant got to do what he loved most: ponder, question and imagine。 The title itself refers to a pivotal moment in his life when he realised that there were so many big questions out there which had yet to be answered or even asked。 What I take away from this story i Written by Jennifer Berne and illustrated by the equally fantastic Vladimir Radunsky, this picture book takes us right through Einstein's life。 From those initial years and his reluctance/delay in talking to the final ones where he constant got to do what he loved most: ponder, question and imagine。 The title itself refers to a pivotal moment in his life when he realised that there were so many big questions out there which had yet to be answered or even asked。 What I take away from this story is that it was Einstein's choice to not conform to what the rest of society expected which helped make him great。 He didn't want to dress like others, learn like others or live like others。 He just wanted to pursue those things that interested him and in doing so was allowed to become one of the greatest minds of all our times。 。。。more

On a Beam of Light is a picturebook biography about Albert Einstein, one of the brightest minds in history。 But Albert Einstein wasn't just smart; he was quirky, loved ice cream and jokes, didn't wear socks, enjoyed talking to children, played violin, sailed his boat, performed "thought experiments," was a pacifist, and always remained playful and curious。Jennifer Berne's prose is clear, engaging, personal, and poetic。 Even the most complex ideas are presented in simple, easy to understand langu On a Beam of Light is a picturebook biography about Albert Einstein, one of the brightest minds in history。 But Albert Einstein wasn't just smart; he was quirky, loved ice cream and jokes, didn't wear socks, enjoyed talking to children, played violin, sailed his boat, performed "thought experiments," was a pacifist, and always remained playful and curious。Jennifer Berne's prose is clear, engaging, personal, and poetic。 Even the most complex ideas are presented in simple, easy to understand language。Vladimir Radunsky's simple, whimsical, and peacefully joyful illustrations are a perfect match to both the prose and the subject。 。。。more

I ran into this book quite by chance just as we are starting our imagination unit。 It is a well written yet simple story of Albert Einstein。 It talks about how he would think and wonder and imagine and how that led him to be a great scientist。 It always surprises my students to see that imagination is important for scientists。

I liked the art in this one, and the concept is cool。 The idea of always wondering and looking for creating solutions is great。 But this books could have been about anyone。 It is way too general。 It is not a book about Einstein; it just uses him as a device to tell a different story。 Meh。
